Anyone know if Rapid Fill mugs are currently being used at Pop Century?

I am staying August 25th-29th and was hoping to get away with using an old mug this trip.

I heard a rumor that they will be starting in about a week.

Hi, I always request a room as close to the Food Court as possible, this way your close to everything. I have never had a problem :thumbsup2

Is the food court located right in the middle of Classic Hall or is it closer to the 50s section or the 70s section?

It's basically in the middle - you can't really enter the food court other than from pretty much in the center of Classic Hall, so I don't know if there's a distinct advantage of 70s vs. 50s, outside of building 2 of the 50s section which is the farthest away.

Hey Gang! Heading back to POP in Septemeber. Best friend, her kids and I. Neither of us can sleep with the kids and the idea of duct taping them to the bed was not received well. ;) So we need a solution...Can a Queen airmatress fit somewheres? If not, I'm thinking of just buying a twin.

A queen mattress will not fit, and a twin is doable, but tight. Can they not sleep together? My kids are 8 and 10, and they share a bed easily.

If your room is on the side that doesn't face the pool, do you have to walk all around the building to get to the pool?

The Classic Hall is where the Food Court, Arcade room, Shopping, Concierge, & Bust Stops are. Straight across is the 60's, the 70's is left side of the hall & 50's right side of the hall. Our family takes advantage of the food court & buses to get to & from parks so we request to be as close as possible, it avoids long walking (in my case) with over tired little ones. I have spent the money on the preferred & didn't see much of a difference with out it. If you prefer a certain decade you can request it along with being close to the classic hall too. Good luck :thumbsup2

Sorry for my question, maybe is already answered in another post. Where do I do the request? By phone at WDW number or direct at the POP Resort? I need a fridge for medical use And I like the 50's area, I will love to stay there.
Thank you

Call the main reservation line and have your requests added to your reservation.

Our plane arrives at 10:30 in the evening, will someone be at the desk to check us in? How does this work for late arrivals? Thanks!

For everyone who keeps wondering, there are no working refrigerators in the rooms. I've been told there are not enough to go around and if a working one is delivered to a room for a stay, it is promptly removed when the guest checks out. Don't anticipate having one in your room. It may be time to go back to the fridge swaps of old days! (worked out good for me in the past!)

I know there is much debate on preferred/standard rooms. I have 2 reservations. I thought that both were preferred but apparently only one is. I had even requested adjoining rooms...anyway, due to popular opinion on here, I decided to avoid paying the preferred rate for the 2nd room.

My question is...what's the best request to make so that the rooms are close? Preferred is 60s right? Can you request 60s room but standard? Just not sure what all requests I should give when we check in in 27 days!!

*PS-Got our Mickey Mail yesterday!!*

I'm pretty sure you can only get choices that have a fast pass to begin with, ex: magic carpets/nemo...we were there at a very busy time and were able to ride those over and over with no wait..but I would imagine you could schedule peter pan/dumbo/barnstormer since they have the need for a fast pass, there is a magic band trial thread, they might be able to answer your questions over there

There are a ton of attractions that do not have traditional FPs that are included with FP+. Shows, rides, parades, fireworks, etc. For example- we have FP+ booked for Illuminations, Wishes, ETWB, and Pirates among others.

What type of preferred room did you reserve? If it's preferred pool, that room will be in the 60's section. If it's "regular" preferred, the room could be in 50's, 60's, or 70's.

To try a pre-check-in request that might have the rooms be assigned close to each other, you try one for the same building number.

Otherwise I have a feeling you may need to see what room assignments you get upon check-in and then discuss it at that point. In my experience (with a single room anyway) having a room reassigned at check-in is relatively easy. They will at least do their best for you.
