Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

if this is true, i'm going to have to switch my resort and add an extra night. we were planning to stay at AoA (LM room) with a check-in of October 3. i guess we'll have to get in REALLY late on October 2 now.

I would like to know this answer also I forgot about ticket prices going up

Unfortunately, yes, you would most likely have to pay the increased ticket prices. The increase would still usually be less than the cost of the dining plan though.

You can book up to 3 rooms with your pin.

yes i tried to add them. My pin code is good till Aug. 14....and CM told me that there's no FD rooms available anymore for those dates. I guess i can call again hoping someone canceled their fd room at POP or anywhere else.:guilty:

Does anyone know what the $ difference is between the quick service plan and regular dining if we stay at a value resort?

I just talked to a CM and she said that today and tomorrow they are releasing new PINS via email.

They are for Jan 14- April 2 (blockout dates 3/3- 3/15). She said there are 11 different types of offers. Some are room only, some are adults eat for child prices... things like that.

It used to be about $18 per night for adults and about $3 per night for kids, but they raised the prices recently, so I'm not sure. Maybe $20 and $5???

Yes the room discount frequently falls in line with free dining. It will in this case as well.

So, if I understand correctly (and please bare with me, this is my 1st Disney trip for our family) I would miss out on a RO discount for the 1st part of our stay because we are arriving Oct 12th-27th.
I have the Poly booked from the 12th-17th, then BC 17th-22nd and then AKL 22nd-27th.
So, the RO would cover me from the 18th on wards...correct?
Are the AP dates normally the same as the GP RO dates?

If I'm correct, It would make more sense to extend the Poly to check out the 18th instead of the 17th, so that I could get the RO starting at the BC on the 18th. I don't really want to stay the 17th at the BC at full pop, and then possibly have to switch rooms from the 18th-22nd. Do you follow?

I have some thinking to do..I may even move AKL to the beginning and Poly at the end since the Poly is the most expensive resort without a discount. AKL is the cheapest one out of the 3...

Thank-you for you help, much appreciated!!! :)

Does it help if i book our rooms now and then apply the fd code on the first? Since we will need 2 rooms i am hoping for standard rooms. i assume on the first the phones will be busy and it takes awhile to make a reservation.

Thanks for the info, we were going to stay at bonnet creek but with the fd and 4 disney adult children, on site looks much better.

Thanks, Smitch!! I am so excited. I'm doing the happy dance at my desk. We check in on 10/2. We just made it.:banana:

The room discount may not follow the same dates as FD. It usually doesn't.

I have a question on this. (and sorry, not trying to stray from the main thread topic) A friend of mine went on a trip with us, and used our email address to keep everything together when making plans. So, today i received an email with his name on it for the "adult eat for child price".
Was this pin ment for him or for us (our email). If it was meant for him, we couldn't take advantage of it correct? (he wouldn't be with us on that planned trip).

Offer is here for those that want to know.....

**************.net reports (if rumor true) that the free dining dates are for Europe and South America..... when the free dining special comes out for the U.S., do you think it will be the same dates? Isn't this all speculation now? I prefer a room discount anyway... hoping for a discount for an arrival date sometime Oct. 11 - 13 and stay through Oct. 20.

Does anyone know what the $ difference is between the quick service plan and regular dining if we stay at a value resort?

You just pay the difference between the regular price of the QS dining plan and the regualr ddp - about $18-$19 per night per adult and about $3-$4 per night per child.

So happy for so many of you!!!! I am disappointed that our dates, Dec. 4-9, are not included. But I am still crossing my fingers something will work out for us! If not, we will still enjoy our first visit as a family anyway I am sure :)

Anyone now why they excluded the first week of December? In the previous mentioned dates they were included but not in the confirm dates. Sad :( Any other discount will be offer for such week? Please give me some hope.

LM rooms are excluded because they sellout without needing to offer a discount. The campsites are not included because they are not a resort. FD is offered to fill resort rooms, plus, you can have up to 10 people on a single campsite. That is way too much food to give away. Not sure about the 3 bedrooms, but maybe that is too many people, too.

They discount rooms that they need occupied, so occupancy on those that are not included is already high. No need to discount. Campsites can accommodate a lot of people and are pretty cheap, so giving free dining there would just not be a good financial decision.

Thank you, both. :)

Omg yay!!! So exciting! I need help though! Our dates are Nov.16-22 and we have a little mermaid room at AoA. What are our options and what would you do?! We are a family of 5, three children ages 8, 6, and not quite 2. My parents are adult sister are also joining us. Help!

Hmmm...I totally understand the plight of larger families!;) Here are the options I have looked in to: 2 rooms at a Value (connecting), family suites at All-Star Music, Suites at AoA, POR alligator bayou rooms. The negatives for 2 connecting rooms is that Disney can not guarantee this, but they try there hardest, and make sure to request in advance.; the alligator bayou rooms are very popular and can go very fast. There are other (more expensive) options at Deluxe resorts-rooms at the Polynesian and Beach Club are quite large for regular rooms and allow 5 (3 and up) in a room; could do six with child under 3 yrs. We are currently doing AoA suites, but will most likely do 2 connecting rooms at All-Star or Pop next time. Good luck with your decision! I know I went back and forth with several options (like BC or Poly), but decided our family really NEEDS 2 bathrooms!;)
