Cruisin into Spring Training-VWL & 4 Nt Dream 3/22-28/13 COMPLETE! 8/11

:surfweb: All caught up. I'm to busy enjoying my self I could never remember all the details.

I think the nighttime shot is good. It's the effort that counts. :thumbsup2 Why didn't they want you off the ship at night? :confused3

The mixology classes look like so much fun. DH and I will definitely have to hit one up on our family cruise. I'm too much of a light weight to do one on our mommy/son cruise. Joshua carrying me back to the room wouldn't be a pretty site. :rotfl2:

.....and the mixology class??

LOVE IT!!:goodvibes

all caught up now.

P.S.
Yah, I 2nd that......how come DCL didnt wanna youa off the ship?????:confused3

Night shot of the ship totally worth it! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip on the mixology class. Duly noted if I ever get myself on a cruise. Looks like so much fun!

We did that same drink on the Magic in April, but they served us the first two layers already poured and then sent around a bottle of Grand Mariner (was that the last one?) for us to pour on top of the first two. It was so good! I love those tastings. I finally figured out that it's not what I eat on vacation, but what I drink that causes me to gain so much weight! :p I'm going to have to work that one out before the F&W trip coming up! :rotfl2:

That's different! Did they have all of you pour one? I would guess that's why- we had each volunteer making two or three- maybe there were 4 volunteers?

And those calories DO add up- I try to stay clear of those sweet drinks- but that b-52 was REALLY worth it!

Me neither- that's what photos are for! :rotfl:

They just didn't want me to get off ALONE. Nassau doesn't have a great reputation for being safe....

No one was wasted from this- everyone was very happy, but not crazy. Can you finish a drink or 2 without falling over? Then I think you could handle it, lol-

Nassau isn't considered super safe- they were ok with me getting off, just not by myself-

Night shot of the ship totally worth it! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I highly recommend BOTH! :thumbsup2

A quick update before we hit the road to Conn.......

Day 3 of our 4 day cruise began with coffee, fruit, and pastries delivered by room service. :thumbsup2 We didn't want to waste time sitting down for a meal anywhere, because today we were in CC!

Although, when I looked out the porthole, I couldn't see the island, so I thought maybe we were giving it a pass. But- we were already docked, I just couldn't tell from way up there in the front! :rotfl: Once coffee was consummed, we made our way quickly off the ship. Someone else was coming with us-

YAY!

The thing that I loved MOST about this itinerary was that we were stopping at CC on Day 3 and then had a relaxing sea day after that before the cruise was done. I can't tell you how much BETTER it is going to this little island of paradise without the gloom and doom of "MY VACATION IS OVER!!!!!" sinking in you the whole time. MUCH MUCH better.

We walked over to the beach, and passed by a few DISers from the meet who had run in the 5K that morning. I would like to do that someday- but I would probably be walking. Plus, I probably shouldn't have a mixology class and wine at dinner and Moet Ice in Pink with vacationing CMs the night before, but..I digress. ::yes::

All that beautiful fruit was already out-

I have never gone here- have you?

There were tons of lounges available still on the old beach, so we went there.

And Timmy was immediately bored with me-

There was a hoops competition starting- last year, he had won, so he wanted to try again.

I was hungry, so had an early lunch while he was occupied (he wasn't hungry yet)-

He was still shooting hoops when I was done, so I took photos of ALL the BBQ food-

Cont'd next post-

More food-

And there ya have it! Timmy was done, I think he may have had a hot dog, and then we decided to go for a bike ride. I can always count on Timmy to ride bikes- not Tyler, he's not as into it. But Timmy and I both enjoy a bike ride- and we do like toolin around on CC. :goodvibes

Plus, it is a really cheap excursion for us, and that makes the Daddy at home VERY happy! :rotfl:

I have to stop here- Tyler and I need to leave soon and I need to finish up packing. Hope you are enjoying the 4th of July weekend! Please keep Tyler's team in your prayers- they could REALLY use a WIN! :cheer2:

Great update, wow when we went on our cruise they didn't have basketball to play. Planning our cruise now for next year, just trying to figure out what time of year to go.

Keeping my fingers crossed for Tyler and his team! :thumbsup2

Great update, I just love seeing pics of CC. And it looks like so far you had a nice and relaxed start to your day.

I am sorry I haven't posted more, but school only stopped today and it was kind of VERY busy the last few weeks. But I have been reading .... I promise! :goodvibes

Good luck to Tyler and his team!

I'm getting so excited for my cruise while I'm reading about yours. I can do online check-in and reservations on Sunday...can't believe it is only 107 days away. :)

Great Update of CC. I fell in love with the Adult beach there !!!! The buffet was really good there !!Good luck to Tyler and his Team!!!

Loving your TR. We are going on the 4 night dream and staying three night at VWL. Your TR is getting me so excited for our trip, as if I wasn't already totally obsessed. I can't wait for you to continue writing. Looks like you really had a great time. Thanks for finding the time to work in it.

I can barely drink two drinks. :rotfl2:

The bikes look fun. Can't wait to ride around CC with Joshua.

Good luck to Tyler and his team. :goodvibes

I am all caught up! Missed the rest of your Nassau day somehow as we too are late getter outers and those last 2 weeks of school are INSANE! Congrats to Timmy on all his awards, that is fabulous! I need to remember coconut shrimp on Nassau day should we ever find ourselves with that itinerary again as I've no intention of getting off the ship either. Mixology looked fun but yeah, after a B52, wine, bubbly...5K maybe not such a great idea. :rotfl: I do want to do that sometime and almost had folks convinced this summer but we were all too lazy (and it was HOT!). Mnnn, RP, I loved that place!

We did buy a drink at that bar on the way out before they literally dropped the shutters down on it but I don't think that counts as actually being there. I agree, having CC on day 3 would be MUCH better than on day 4, which is when we had it.

Good luck Tyler!

Ahhh, I never get tired of CC day reports! :cloud9: The "main" BBQ looks like it has way more menu choices than the Serenity Bay BBQ. I may have to check this one out next time. How were the games?

Good luck with the baseball! After 17 days straight of rain we finally got our tourney game in tonight, and they won! It was a big deal to our boys, even though they're only 1-3rd graders.

We still have coach pitch, but DS is one of the catchers for our team. That's nervewracking too, with them squatting down behind the hitters.

Your pics of CC look great! I'm starting planning for our cruise next year, and am a little bit bummed that we don't have a stop there. I guess we'll have to make up for it with a couple days in Miami!

We had an extened stay in Nassau too for the crew and I never even thought to get off the ship and take pictures of it all lit up. UGH! Now I am just going to have to go on cruise after cruise till I can get those pictures! :rotfl2:

They didn't? When was your cruise? Good luck picking one for next year! Do you have a ship in mind?

Keeping my fingers crossed for Tyler and his team! :thumbsup2

UGH- they won one game out of the last 7. I HATE baseball!! :rotfl:

Oh, PLEASE don't apologize! I am so far behind on everyone else's, too! It doesn't even feel like summer around here yet!

Good luck to Tyler and his team!

YAY Jill!! Happy birthday cruise to YOU!! :hyper:

Great Update of CC. I fell in love with the Adult beach there !!!! The buffet was really good there !!Good luck to Tyler and his Team!!!

The buffet on the adult side is much better- and it's mostly the same stuff- :confused3 but I agree, the Adult side of Disney is REALLY nice on CC!

:rotfl:What a GREAT plan!! :goodvibes We did have a fantastic time- all around, both at VWL and on the ship. Wish I was getting on the Dream right NOW!
