December 2013.

We have a 2BR VGF resort reservation (non DVC members) that happens to be during Pop Warner week. From the research I've started doing, it seems that it may be hard to get any types of Disney World discounts during that specific week in December. I know that there are PIN codes for FD but that week is not covered. If I'm lucky enough to receive a PIN code or if WDW extends FD, offers GP room discounts, etc. will they be offered that week and/or at the VGF since it's brand new? Would getting an AP get me a discount? Does anyone have any advice, words of wisdom, information, thoughts for WDW discounts during Pop Warner week?

We are thinking about booking a trip for December 1-7. Went 12-18th (the infamous cold spell) in 2010, but now that is in the "peak" pricing, and we would have to stay at a value with the Pop Warner kids for 2 days. So, I was think the 1st-7th would be pretty good, right after Thanksgiving so most people are home, also a good start to the Holiday season.

That would be a great week the crowds are really low, but try to remember that the Christmas parade will be taped on the 6th and 7th at the MK. From what I understand on the 6th it is the performances and on the 7th it is mainly the parade. I was told if you go those days try to avoid the MK. my original plan was to go that week also but with 2 little girls I could not avoid the MK for 2 days! So my reservations were moved to the next week staying off site.

Hello everyone :) We are currently booked Halloween week, but I'm going to be switching us to December tomorrow. It's looking like our dates will be Nov 30- Dec 8, probably staying at Pop. It'll be just the kids and I. I sat down tonight and managed to get most of our ADR's changed, so that made me very happy!!!

That week is hard because Disney knows that they can get the business. I do not think getting an AP will get you discounts except for free parking but if you are staying on site you get that anyway. The AP also can get you at some restaurants a certain % off of your meal. As far as I know free dining is hard to come by that week unless they give you a pin.

I'm glad that you were able to change your ADR's!! I love going in Dec the decorations are awesome.

Going the 14-18 for a quick first trip for the kiddos. Our DS6 is autistic and I am afraid to stay any longer than that.

DD7 already has a list of princesses to meet!

We are doing two days in MK to take things a little slower and 1 day at HS.

In May DW and I and DD20 and DD22 and their boyfriends were all in a wonderful 2br at OKW (home resort) for 9 days , but thanks to that excellent DVC PAP discount I talked the wife into another trip to get our $$'s worth. Also ahead already on TIW card I bought in May so December is all gravy !
December 4th thru the 8th. It's short but gonna be sweet ! Waitlist came thru for BLT first 2 nights . At OKW last 2 still on wl for BWV. Either way ok with me. MVMCP tickets purchased .ADR's set except for Calf Grill. Waiting for that to open so I can jump in. Haven't been there in 15 yrs:)

Thank you so much for answering my rather lengthy question(s). ;) I guess I will just have to cross my fingers. Thanks again!

We have 12/11 for the 8:15 pm show with a 5:10 pm dinner ressie at Chefs. We wanted CR but it was not available. We booked there for a lunch another day during the trip instead.

I am hoping they have an idea who the narrators are for Dec 1 and those next couple days. My dd said Ashley Judd would be fine with her. It would be our last night so we would stay for Illuminations.

Not sure if I should go ahead and book for Sunday evening like I want to or take Thursday!

Regardless, so happy it is almost here and have been blessed enough to get to go again!
