Playing with the numbers and it worked out the same price minus a few dollars for both free dining and room only discount?!? is that normal?!

Is TPV normally excluded like it is this year??

I can't answer about FD & TPV but I can tell you that with the room only discount TPV was available.. I honestly wouldn't count on FD it really appears they are slowly phasing it out.. GP so far is only Sept 2-25 TH with FD personal pins being sent to selective ppl for remainder of the yr..

Now that being said. We saved more with RO 30% and added 7 day PH & DDP. Alot of times the deluxe resorts price out better with room only depending on number in your party & eating habits. We are a party of 2.

CR never tickled my fancy always stayed Poly, GF, BC, POR or values but after staying CR Tower BLV we loved it! The location is amazing! The monorail is so very convenient & the rooms large & beautiful! Can't wait for Sept! 67 days!!

This year it worked out cheaper with room only for us at the poly too..we are two adults and three kids (one infant so really two paying kids)...I looked again at room only and it says only garden and lakeview rooms included?!

We have only stayed at the poly and loved it which is part of why I am hesitant to stay elsewhere :) I am glad to read you stayed at the poly before too and loved the CR as well!

Thank you! I love hearing opinions on TPV because I always said if I stayed here it would be in a tpv room...but I looked at pictures and i didn't like looking at the parking lot below...is that something that you noticed??

I was surprised on our first stay but I don't even notice now. We say we look out not down :goodvibes I LOVE watching the castle change colors during the night when my family is sleeping  We would never stay anywhere else ::yes::

We have stayed at CTV years ago when DD was younger and this years we are going back:banana::banana:. Here is my experiences, you know the parking lot is down there but besides admiring the landscaped mickey in the middle of the lot you never look over the railing at it. You are always looking out at the monorail going around the loop or Magic Kingdom. Also the last time we stayed there we had an odd number room and we could see the castle from the bed next to window. Not sure if we were located just right east/west but this year we requested an odd number room again. Also in the past I find the Cont to be one of resorts not always offering the best RO discount but this year it was and that's why we grabbed it. We use to always love staying in the North Wing before BLT. We always requested a bottom floor so we could sit out on balcony watch the ducks, rabbit, and people. But let me add as DD22 was getting older and had activities in the summer then college, our planning a year ahead went to 6 months and the Cont wing rooms were always booked up. We too love the Poly but we love the Cont too and sure you will too!:lovestruc

Thanks...maybe I am looking in the wrong spot...under special offers it says contemporary (garden/lakeview rooms)...if it is included in discount next year it will be a no brainer!!!

We booked poly for 30% off this year and I know now it is only 20% off so if that is the case we will do a week straight at CR instead of split stay!

I must say this board makes me excited to try it out!!! :)

I just wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all the BLT and CR experts on this board. My family just finished a stay at BLT, and all the advice was really helpful in planning our first trip to WDW. The 1-BR villa was just right for our family of 5, the location was perfect, and having a washer/dryer handy was so convenient! I didn't think we would use the kitchen much, but we ended up ordering breakfast and snack foods delivered from Garden Grocer, and their service was excellent. Our kids also enjoyed doing some fun activities in the Community Hall, and there was never a long line at the pool's waterslide. We just wished we could've stayed longer. It was a great trip, and we can't wait to stay at BLT again!

With a TPV you can also see Expedition Everest in the far distance as well as Tower of Terror and the Sean and Dolphin. It's not like the closer images of the monorail and castle but still exciting. At least you can see them from 12th floor. It's like being on top of the world!!!

Fireworks view from your balcony is priceless. You can also see the electrical water parade.

Same here!!! We were able to stay in some really great rooms with those rates. Our favorite was the Buy 4, Get 3 Free for your room AND tickets!!!

Yay! for a WL CL trip report! CR and WL have been neck and neck for me throughout this planning process. CR is in the lead right now because last trip I wanted CR but got lured by all the Poly nuts out there. This time, if I get lured away again, I'll just regret it.

However, it's very likely that WL is next up.

Do bounceback offers ever come toward the end of the year? If so, is it only for the same resort, or any resort on property?

Happy July everyone!
I feel like there's always a BB in the room or now, in your check-in packet:confused3. We love CR/BLT and WL, too so a split stay did the trick for us last August. It is a hard decision. All that room and such convenience at BLT and a wonderful CL and theming at WL - love 'em both:lovestruc

The "quick" way to Epcot from WL is the bus, but we enjoy catching the boat over to CR then taking the monorails. The boat ride to CR is very short, and then we have all of the CR transportation options.

The boat options are the boat loop between WL, CR, and FW and also the direct boat to MK. There is no direct TTC boat without transferring at MK. There are buses to each park including MK, which really don't seem to be that bad.
:thumbsup2

Hello again!!!! I have more Contemporary questions. We have the Hospitality Suite booked and I am wondering if anyone knows the room numbers of the Hospitality Suites? I was told that they are located closest to the tower but I'm not sure if that is accurate. We are excited about having such a large room but now somewhat dreading have to walk to the tower to enjoy the club level. TIA
I don't know the number, but it is right next to the walkway to CR and close to the pool.

Only when you look down.
Spoken like someone who tells people afraid of heights to just not look down:upsidedow

Fantastic! When do you think you might stay at BLT again?

Thanks everyone for your replies! Am thinking of TPV!!

Kook...what is your favourite view?? I noticed you do split stays with the WL and I am considering one with the POLY, is it worth it to do split stay??

So you're not concerned anymore about the balcony? If not, then we always book Tower/BLV. We love looking out at Bay Lake and seeing all the birds on Discovery Island. We prefer (not looking down, dansdad;)) and seeing a parking lot below. BLV offers the illusion that you're more secluded and away from it all.

Splits feel like two (or three) vacations in one. If you're staying long enough then I love the split. I feel like at least 3 days minimum is needed at each resort though. You also have to not mind re-packing. I like moving on laundry day so I don't worry much about how neatly I've packed and then I just do the dirty laundry at the next resort sometime in the afternoon. We always have a car so it's an easy transition. But this next trip we're not doing a split because DD and DH would prefer staying longer (9 nights) at one resort.

I talked it over with my DH and he made a good point and said that we stayed at bonnet creek when our middle DD was 15 months and just over 2 and had a balcony and our youngest will be older when we go so I shouldn't worry about it...he wasn't sold on the garden wing rooms being away from the tower with his parents coming with us, he prefers everything under one roof.

Which is best club level at CR, is it worth it for two young kids? I am thinking it might be good for grandparents.

That's what our CL stays last year and this year were on. We wouldn't do CL without it. Hoping to book CR Atrium CL for next August with 40% off. ::yes:::worship:

I'm back...thinking of a split stay...CBR (pirate room) for 4 nights then CR (possibly CL?) for 3 nights.
