Disney Food Pictures...Part IV!

We've ordered numerous "outside Disney walls" food deliveries to various Disney resorts throughout the years. Never experienced a single problem. Deliveries to deluxe resorts differ in that the transport person calls your room upon arrival as they are not allowed to deliver to your door -- only public lobby areas. So of course, you have to travel from your room to procure your goods. We've routinely ordered from Giordano's, Flippers, and No Blood No Bones [DH is vegetarian] and have had only positive experiences. Wait times are usually upward of an hour+ however, so, best take that into consideration when ordering. Giordano's deep dish pie is terrific! About $20 on average for a single pizza including tax and nominal delivery charge.

A few more food pictures from our trip.

Be Our Guest dinner, New York Strip with Garlic-Herb Butter, Seasonal Vegetables, and Pommes Frites

That ny strip is amazing,I loved it!!

Hoosier37, your pics are beautiful. Are you using a DSLR? (I am actually hoping you aren't. We have decided not to bring our DSLR and I am on the hunt for a compact camera that take nice indoor pics)

Thank you!

The AoA food pics were from a Sony point and shoot, other than the Mickey fruit tart which was taken with my DSLR, and most of the others were with an iPhone 4s. I do have a DSLR, but didn't lug it too often with me in the restaurants.

Ha, I have a 4s and my pics are terrible. User error, certainly. ;). I am strongly considering a couple Sony models so glad to hear the AOA pics were taken with one. My last few P&Ss have been Panasonic Lumixes but they have durability problem so I need a new brand. Thanks for answering!

Me and the DH are doing DW in Nov. on the fence about doing disney dining. We've never chose to do it as we are season passholders for DLR and always get big discount for that on dining, but for our trip in November to WDW we won't have that luxury of the discount as we are just doing park hoppers. Please advise if you've used dining plan and if its a good or bad option.... Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

We do the Dining Plan every time we go. If you're smart about it you can really make it worth your while; plus it is very nice to not have to worry about paying for the meal while actually on vacation. Depending on when your trip is they may even have free dining going on which makes it an even better deal!

All in all, as long as your aren't spending it on the cheapest thing possible you end up saving a ton of money and can really enjoy the Disney food experience.

Completely agree!! We have more TS planned than credits so we will choose the lowest price ones to pay OOP..

Actually, I quit using the Sony after the first day because it malfunctioned, quit reading memory cards, and got in some weird loop that it kept asking for a memory card and then couldn't read it. The cards were fine, I tried changing batteries etc and nothing worked. I put it away and a week after we got home, it worked fine. I wonder if the humidity affected it. :confused3 It is a Sony Cybershot DSC-WX50, and I've had it for a year and never had a problem with it before that day.

As far as the iPhone, it is definitely a learned skill to take a nonblurry picture with it. I've been working on it for quite some time but I still end up with 2 blurry pics for every decent one.

Wow, I guess it is FL that does a number on the cameras. We had something similar happen to a Lumix I mentioned! Just stopped working at WDW and, before that, all the pics had a foggy appearance, like there was condensation on the lens. Thanks for the heads up on that model be ause it was one I was looking at.

(I am a native Hoosier from the northeast central boonies, BTW. :) )

We lived in Fort Wayne for several years, so we probably drove through your boonies going to visit family in our boonies before we finally gave up and just moved back here. :rotfl:

Like I said, that camera has been fine the entire time I've had it, takes great low-light pictures and has a special food setting and other scene settings, and it is working fine now. It just got really weird that one day, and I do think it might have been the humidity.

Giordano's ? For some reason I didn't think outside of Disney restaurants delivered "on Disney property". I thought Disney had a tight corporate seal on that I always wanted to order and have delivery, (I get sick of the same food on property) but never did it. How was the pizza? Are prices good?

It's a left at Crossroads plaza intersection (535/Vineland), about a 1/2 mile down, on your right!

It once had fantastic pizza but in the last 2 years the quality has fallen victim to the economy and suffered greatly. Our pizza last year took an hour, we ate in, and it still came to the table raw! And for those who don't like the deep dish, the thin is awful! I've had frozen pizza that was better!

We had it delivered in and ate there so many times in the last 10 years, it was a staple that we really looked forward to, since we have nothing like it here at home, now we skip it and just remember it fondly!

Definitely saw a papa johns delivery person waiting in the lobby of CSR last night, so they must deliver.

Hope this works it's a pic of Akershus Breakfast of the buffet part

These aren't the greatest quality they were taking with an iPhone 3 back in 2009.
