Dee - just wanted to tell you that I bought the windbreaker style BC last year and loved it! With all the rain we had this spring it was perfect for ds's baseball games. I also got the BC frig magnet so I can think about BC every single day!

When you have a counter service meal at one of the participating locations, you will receive a coupon for 20% off shopping, again at specific locations, if used from park opening until 1 pm. Not sure if that is same day, but the thread I read indicated it was valid the next morning.

I'm SO glad Bob is doing well! Please keep us informed of how things are progressing.

I sadly will not be staying at Beach Club in January. We are finally DVC members with the new Villas at the Grand Floridian as our home resort. Although we couldn't get a marathon weekend reservation there, we will be staying at BLT on points.

Congrats, Amanda!!! I am so happy to hear you found a contract that works for your family!

We arrived home late last night due to a significant flight delay and all I heard in the airport was, "Why couldn't we be waiting at the BC instead of the airport cause then I could still be swimming in SAB."

We had a wonderful time and loved, loved the location of the BC. Both our rooms were on the 2nd floor and near each other. One was an extra large corner room with 3 windows but no balcony of any kind. It had two queens and a day bed and was about a third again bigger than a standard room. The other room had 2 queens, no day bed and a full balcony. That room had the "florida" accessible bathroom but the tub bars were correctly placed for it to work for me.

On Sunday I got the opportunity to meet Teena. She was charming and gracious in person and it was a thrill to actually get to meet her.

Finally! After months of planning our first ever WDW trip I am sitting at SAB watching my daughter in the pool! We just checked in around 2:00 and our room wasn't ready so we came to the pool to recharge after a morning spent at MK.

Online check-in was great and our packet was waiting for us. I just received the text that our room was ready so it only took about 40 minutes.

We had an early morning ADR at Crystal Palace. DD6 and I ate really fast (not huge eaters) and ended up being first at the internal rope! We also ended up first at Enchanted Tales with Belle!! Everything I learned on the DIS was totally true as we got done, ETWB, Ariel's Grotto, Little mermaid ride, dumbo, barnstormer (twice), philharmonic (sp?), space mountain and we stopped at the character spot in the circus area and got pics with Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy! Last but not least we had lunch at BOG and then did people mover and headed out of the park around 1:00.

Headed to room now, please let me know if you have any questions. I've learned SO much from these boards and would love to return the favor.

A little guilty, though! I haven't even started thinking about Flat Dee yet!

Hi everyone, we will be checking in at the Yacht Club on August 8th, yipee!!!

There are a lot of us going!!!, 12 in total, 8 adults and 4 kids 5 and under. We booked water view and would like to be close to the lobby and SAB. Would this make it convenient for:
a) pool
b) buses
c)walkway to Epcot?

Should we just request close to the pool? or close to lobby?

Its our first time at this resort, and half our party are Disney First timers!

I agree that a request of "Close to lobby, please" will put you in a great location for everything.

Are you concerned with having rooms close to each other or is that not important? If you do want to try to have rooms together, you should add that, too. "Traveling with X and Y families, rooms close together if possible"

After having a short change to the Grand Floridian I couldn't get club level worked out (dates and price), so we are back to Beach Club! Checking in this Friday, still booked standard view club level. I will try posting updates while I'm there.

Last day (half-day) for Ben today. Nate finished his finals yesterday.

Have a great last day with the students and I know it is still a few days away, but have a blast at the GKTW meet this weekend!

Lily Goes Live: A Princess' First Visit to her Kingdom

Jeanne said Lily FINALLY likes princess stuff. She was not into the princesses at all but Jeanne got so tired of her watching the parades (a friend taped them onto a DVD for her), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake the Pirate, that she started putting Disney movies in the DVD player. She started with Cars and Nemo and after being sick of them being played over and over again, Jeanne put in Beauty and the Beast. OMG ... she loved it after the first hour of crying for Nemo. And when Belle dances around, Lily dances around.

I had purchased a bunch of princess dresses (of course) and one of them (the green one) is there in Vegas and the rest are here since I figured Jeanne would want her to wear them when we visit WDW. She has shown it to Jeanne but Jeanne had no interest in frilly things .... UNTIL NOW. Apparently she pointed to it after the second time of "dancing" to Beauty and the Beast and screamed "mama, mama, put on". So on it went and she danced and danced and danced. So we now have an official Disney Princess!!!!!

Just came home to get a few things done. Bob is sleeping in his room and his color looks great.

Thank you everybody for all the prayers and good wishes. You guys are all like family and you have no idea how much you are caring really means to us.

And Dee, thanks for the updates and super thanks to you for posting Lily's princess dancing debut on the thread. I hope everybody gets a good laugh out of it. I watched it numerous times today ... any time I was getting nuts waiting, I watched her video on my phone and I just thought of her and the dancing she is going to do at the beach in two weeks ... with her PopPop holding her hand!!

High chairs are available by request. We had one when our grandsons stayed in the villa with us. You can also request bed rails and step stools for the sink. The pack and play was already in the room when we were there several years ago.

Just heard from Teena- Bob is good to go!!! He will be released today. He has some restrictions for lifting and he can't drive, but they are still on for their trip to Newport Beach in a couple of weeks.

Awesome news! So happy for the two of them!
