Did u bring ur stroller?

I have a britax b ready stroller and its wheels are pretty big and wide. I'm concerned about being able to push it down the hallways of the ship. Are the hallways narrow, where I won't be able to fit my stroller through them?

Strollers are not very convenient on the ships because of small elevators, narrow hallways, and housekeeping carts. You will find many people don't bring them (and the rest of us thank them for that)! The ones that work the best are the the most basic sling types.

If you do bring it please oh please fold it up while you're in the elevators.

I'd say the hallways are just wide enough for two people to pass (as long as they both turn sideways a little). Maybe about 5' wide (no more). If your stroller takes up too much of the hallway, you won't be able to get it past the housekeeping carts that seem to reside in the hallways.

Also, they aren't allowed in the dining rooms, you have to park them outside. There is just not enough room for strollers and people and tables and servers trying to do their jobs.

You might want to consider bringing a nice umbrella style stroller instead. Something like a Macleran or similar.

I'm bringing a smallish one; it's a bit sturdier than an umbrella stroller, but much smaller than a travel-system one. I can't imagine excursions without one.

We have our first cruise in Oct. our daughter will be 12 months and I can't imagine carrying her all over a big ship. We will have to have some kind of stroller.

The doorway in the standard room is 27" wide. If your stroller is narrower than that you'll have no problem getting through.

It doesn't have to be folded up. It's just that the elevators are quite small on cruiseships (think about maybe 6-9 people max). Strollers take up a lot of real estate there.

I might rent one from the ship if we walk around town to shop.I am bringing my Ergo for the little one, but she hasn't been in it in 4-5 months, so I'm not sure how that will go! I don't plan on using the stroller much on the boat, mostly for the airport and in port.

We have the exact same stroller. I wouldn't so much worry about navigating around the ship as I would storing the stroller in the room. We bought the Uppababy G-luxe for the cruise/WDW and loved it. Light enough to collapse and carry up the stairs if the lines for the elevators were crazy long (and they will be around showtimes/dinner), small enough to store in the wardrobe or under the bed, supportive of DDs back (avoid the sling), and reclined for naptime if she fell asleep in the stroller. Great investment as it has turned into our everyday stroller. The b-ready is just cumbersome and big. Also to add my perpective to prior posts. If your LO is asleep you can bring the stroller into the MDR with you. I also don't think it's necessary to collapse in the elevator. What would be the point? Plus you'd have to pull everything out including your LO to do so.

We took our daughter on her 1st cruise at 11 1/2 months old and brought a stroller and never used. It was so much trouble having it around the ship- just not worth it. Yes we had to carry her (not walking yet) but it was so much better that dealing with a stroller in the elevators, lido deck, theater, etc. Stayed under the bed the whole time. Now she will be almost 4 for our cruise in September and are only bringing it for the airport (have a 4 hr wait before we can catch disney transportation) and hoping she will sleep in it. Otherwise we wouldn't be bringing it this time either. I we could leave it at the airport and pick it up on our way home we would.

I plan on bringing a chicco echo stroller an ergo carrier, and a sling. None if those is too space consuming and I will see what I like when we get there.

I had asked a similar question about our special needs stroller, since we will be doing wdw before and after the cruise. so, we will have it with us even if we don't need it too much on the ship. I was worried about storage in the room the most. it was suggested that if it doesn't fit under the bed, a good place is to keep it in the bathtub when not being used.

We have an ergo too that I am wondering whether to bring or not. Our daughter will be 18 months when we cruise. She hasn't been in the ergo a lot but we have recently moved her to the back and she really likes it that way now so that would be a great option. Our 3 yr old would not want to walk around to shop though so I'm thinking about bringing our joovy double stroller for the ports.
