We received another update from the French bakery from Goofyluver last night, but first she sent an update from their dinner at Epcot's...
















"It's bright and beautiful in here!"

"We were seated in the sun room. We loved it because it was relatively quiet!"

















"Uncle R and I had Blood Orange Aguas Frescas. Soooo refreshing!"







"We got a large pizza. Half mushroom and half carciofi with the artichokes and truffle oil...best pizza we've ever had! Loved the pizza so much that I of course asked for the recipe. They will email any recipe you want, so ask! As soon as I get the email I'll share."



"We will definitely be returning here. In fact, we're trying to get a lunch ressie for Friday before we fly out!"​

"Today's lunch was a last minute addition! We decided yesterday that we'd be visiting Animal Kingdom so we grabbed a Yak and Yeti ressie!"

"I got the Ahi Tuna appetizer for part of an entree."




"Loved the tuna but hated the slaw."




"Uncle R got the Pot Stickers app for part of her entree."

"We thought these were so so."





"We also split a Dim Sum basket."

"He maybe finished 1/3. It was sooooo much."


"We have a reservation here in November and we're rethinking it. Yak and Yeti has pretty good food, but we're thinking of trying something different."

"Snack attack in Japan! We got strawberry pocky sticks (we've had these), crab crackers (made from actual crabs, the sales girl said they are "crunchy"...hmmmmm), and shrimp chips. Will do a taste review when we're brave enough." ​

"We usually love this, but today it was limpy."




"Our son got the cannelloni."



Cannelloni filled with a mixture of ground beef and sausage, mozzarella, and ricotta served with marinara and Alfredo cream sauce

"He loved this and gobbled most of it down."





"Our brother got shrimp scampi."



Shrimp Scampi - Linguini with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Asparagus tossed in a Garlic sauce

"He ate the shrimp and veggies and left most of the pasta."


"Uncle R got the steak."



New York Strip Steak with a Red Wine Butter, Tony's Potatoes, and Seasonal Vegetables

"She said it was just alright."




"I got dueling salads for my entree...Caprese and Caesar salad."




Caesar Salad - Romaine lettuce tossed in Caesar Dressing topped with Romano Cheese and Crostini





Tomato and Mozzarella Salad - Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella and Red Onions tossed in Roasted Garlic, Shallots, and Balsamic Dressing


"The Caesar was watery so I left most of it. The caprese was yum!"




"We've always loved Tony's before. Today was just alright. We'll give it one more chance 'cause we usually love it!"

Hi pennyplanner!

Check out the first post of the thread to see if that might answer your questions. If you still have any other questions, please feel free to send me a PM and I would be happy to answer them. I do have an iPhone, so if you also have an iPhone or iPad then sending your updates (pictures) by iMessage is quite easy and would have no effect on your phone data plan.

One other factor regarding your trip dates is that I'm leaving on a non-Disney vacation on Aug. 3rd. I will be taking updates (and posting them to the thread) through Aug. 2 and then Rachel (rachel09985) has graciously agreed to take over the live thread while I'm gone. So if you decide to be a live reporter for us (and I hope you do ), you will first report to me and then either switch over to Rachel for the last three days of your trip or conclude your reporting on the 2nd.

Our First (and only so far) Update of the Day was sent to us this morning by Goofyluver.


She and her family had breakfast yesterday at the Polynesian Resort's...













"Uncle R and her brother split a pressed pot and our son and I got lilikoi juice {Orange, passion fruit and guava blend}. I want that juice every day for breakfast!"







"I got the Macadamia Pancakes. Ohmahgaw. In love!"







"The boys split a Tonga Toast."







The Samoan - Poached eggs with Hollandaise served over smoked pulled pork hash

"Uncle R got the Eggs Benedict."






Fruit Plate - Fresh seasonal fruit served in a fresh pineapple with Banana Nut Bread


"We also got a fruit plate to share. Love Disney fruit."







"Uncle R cut into her poached eggs and they were completely cooked through. The waiter happened to come by at that time and offered to get her more eggs."







"These were actually a bit underdone, but way better! She couldn't finish more than half but did enjoy this."






"This is all I could muster of the pancakes."




"We love Kona, despite the small misstep, and we'll definitely return!"
