8 Regular Park Tickets

So, without food, total cost is ~$1908

We are sharing our trip with my DSinL, but I will share my (myself, DD15, DD17) part of the trip.

$600 Flight
$1100 first 2 night @ POR and 7 day tix
$1200 5 nights at WL
$2900 total

Have $1200 in Disney cards that I have gotten from surveys and gifts that I plan to use for food and a couple of souvenirs. Also bought MVMCP tix with gift cards so, I am excited that I actually got off cheap this year. We eat in the room for breakfast and only eat out once a day.

5 nights 6 days passes in POFQ September 14-18 with 3 Disney adults one child, free dining = $2,300.
Gas for driving = $265 round trip
Kennel for dog = $210
BBB crown package = $60
Photopass = $120
Trip money for kids = $50

Total = $3005

But then I subtract what we would spend on food at home $100 to give us a little more spending money for extra snacks or whatever to keep me at the $3005 mark. Creative accounting I know but I promised spouse to come in right at $3000. :rolleyes1

It's so much fun reading about everyone's trip plans! Here's ours:

Package - 4 nights at CR - Garden Wing; 5 day base tickets; counter service plan $3408
Dog sitting $150
Two nights en route $250
Gas $300
balloon delivery to room $65
Liberty Tree meal & souvenir money $300

Total: $4473

We usually spend around $3000 for our six night trips, but it will be our daughters 16th birthday and it has always been her dream to stay at the Contemporary, so we have been saving up for a special trip! We are so excited! My daughter thinks we are staying at the Residence Inn again...she's in for the surprise of her life! Yay!

We are planning to make up for the extra cost by having a $200 Christmas this year - I normally spend about $1500 on Christmas, so that helps make up the cost. I still have butterflies in my stomach for spending so much, though. We certainly aren't wealthy - I'm a lowly adjunct college instructor and hubby is a state employee. But we have no debt, have a decent amount of savings, and we've decided to splurge for our baby's 16th! She's a good kid and I'm so happy that we are going to be able to make her dream come true. :cutie:

Changed resorts 3 times and this is our final.

2 adults and 2 kids Aug 17-25 8 nights at ASMU standard w/
7 day park passes with WP option $2150
Flights from Boston $900

Total $3050

OOP estimates food costs is $1200

Total $4,250

Not including spending money...maybe an additional $500

Our family of 7 went from 6/2-6/10, with another family. We bought park tickets for the 2 children of the other family, and paid for some of their gas and food. We used a $250 sky auction certificate to stay at Legacy Vacation Club in a 2 bedroom (it was great!), and then just the 7 of us stayed at AKV Kidani in a 2 bedroom for 1 night.

Basic cost breakdowns:
Lodging $250 + $75 for for extra points + 30 dvc points
park tickets $2600 (includes 2 4 day child tickets, 1 5 day child ticket, 2 4 day adult tickets, 1 5 day adult ticket, 2 7 day adult tickets and 1 premium DVC AP)
8 day minivan rental 268 + 180 gas
dog sitter 250
airfare for 7 RT from Indianapolis $1000 + 28K southwest points ( additional 300 paid with for flight credits from a previously canceled flight)
food, souv and everything else 3000 (plus each of our 5 kids had $100 each for spending $ from my parents)

if we include flight credit and money from my parents, $8500 total spent

IF we end up with Free Dining (our dates are within the current pin FD range, so looks like we could luck out), then I may add the Marceline Tour & MNSSHP which would be an extra $200 total. If not, that $ will go towards QS meals.

Well, in April, my family (2A, 2C) had a 10night/11day stay at YC CL, which came in with a grand total of just under $7200. Worth every penny!!! :goodvibes

My DH surprised me with a girls trip with my best friend for September, so we can do Food & Wine!!! :dance3:

I like this trips numbers a lot better!!!

For my half of the trip
9/27/13-10/2/13 (5 nights/6 days)
POP Century - $293.65 (currently booked with AAA, but will switch to military discount if that is extended)
$66.03 - MNSSHP ticket
$222.50 - RT airfare from Manchester, NH
$325.95 for 5 day Park Hopper, which I will update to an AP while I am there

Total: $908.13 + food/souvenier expenses (thinking about $400-$500)

Hopefully, the military discount will reduce the resort cost a little more...trying to do this one as cheaply as possible!!!

Thanks so much! My dd's birthday is in November too and we are going to WDW the week of T-Day, just a couple days after her birthday. Hope you all have a happy and fun sweet 16 too! :yay:

@dizcrazee I love that you are doing this trip for your daughter's 16th. Such a great way to spend a little money. You won't regret the $200 Christmas at all. See if your library has the Little House Christmas book for ideas on making memories with little to no money. :goodvibes

2 adults, 2 WDW adults and 1 child
7 nights BC SV CL
7 day base tix
$3365.00
$2000 food/souvenir budget
$2000 airfare
Total: $7365
I've been buying GCs at a discount so I'll save roughly $300 off my package price, and another $150 off my food/souvie budget. Since we are staying CL, I don't have to pay for breakfast OOP, and we can go back to the resort for snacks and drinks during the day, and cocktails at night ;). We are also only eating 2 TS meals the whole week so I think my food costs will be much lower than what I have planned for.

Its definitely our most expensive vacation, but we haven't been in 5 years so its totally worth it!

Yup! I also pay it off right away so there's no interest to worry about. The only downfall is that the largest denomination is $50. Oh well!
