Stop hogging all the H2O!!!

Yeah, CBP's agriculture specialists and dogs will definitely sniff out the lamb chops and steak in your carry bags, but I've never heard of anyone smuggling toiletries...for those of you who like the toiletries, enjoy them. Moderation in all things, right? ;)

Yah you can take the shampoo but where's your self respect? They sell the shampoo at the store. Justify your actions however you like. There's free food at the buffet you could take some of that stuff home to.

So, you started a new account for that? Lol!

Don't know if you're implying that was me, but it was not. I realize that this is a difference of opinion and most don't see it as an issue. I simply noticed recently that there are a lot of posts (a lot of them in the DCL confessions thread) of people purposely draining the stocks of their room to get free replacements, to deplete to get more, ad nauseum.

Like it or not, this will affect the cost of cruising in the long run. But, as my last post stated, I will just have to agree to disagree with most on this point.

No, it won't affect the price of cruising at all. They have already factored in how many little bottles people take with them and how many are used each cruise. Disney GIVES these to us, knowing full well people use them AND take some home.

Your opinion about the morality issue is just your opinion, and I respect you for having it. Your statement about it increasing the price of cruising is 100% incorrect.

I quoted who I was talking to.

i don't think epcotatnight was implying it was anyone in particular. i think he just thought what i thought when i saw it. it was a first post from someone with the tag 'railagainst'. if i was to feel the need to actually open an account it would not be so i could make fun of someone. it would be to ask a question, agree with pp's, something other than a pointless, no answer thread such as if its okay or not okay to take shampoo. i found that post amusing to.
don't take offence, i think that there will never be 'one' answer to this. your right, we will just have to agree to disagree.

Ah, cool beans. Hugs all around! :)

Also, you don't have to order from the H20 website if you have an Ultra store nearby. They carry the H20 line.

While my store does carry the H2O line, it does to have the same products as DCL uses. I was just in there last week looking for it. I order from the website (and ask for extras from the ship too).

Shall I reiterate?

Love my H2O

They will give me as much as they want me to have, I don't ask them for extra, I take what they leave and they replace it.

Thanks Disney :rolleyes1

Cruise director makes it clear "Don't take the red pillows, you'll be charged at the end of the cruise"
Ok, not taking the red pillows, I will however take the H2O that you so generously left in my room for me to use AT MY LEISURE, whether that be on the cruise, at my next hotel, or at home.

I must be the only person who never gets a stateroom hosts that leaves me extras. Ever. I've gotten to the point (twice now) where I needed to call down to housekeeping for extras as I'm stepping into the shower bc I didn't notice that I've already run out. :confused3

It was so bad that I literally had no bar soap to use, and DH had to prop the door open and ask our host guy for some straight from his cart.

Bug, I completely agree with you. People who hoard or feel they are entitled to something just because it is put in their room as a nicety simply have a different mentality than others including myself. I like the products but typically use my own from home. By no means have I ever thought of stashing the products so that they could be replaced for me to continue stashing and finally bring home a bag full of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It seems that those that feel the need to load up on toiletries to bring home because they are "included" in the price of the cruise are the of the same mind set of those that do extreme couponing. If I collect lots of coupons and can get something cheap or gasp, free, you should take it. Our society needs to understand that there is much waste that happens and costs get driven up when everyone takes things they consider free or complimentary....free maps, free toiletries, free sugar packets at the restaurant etc. please enjoy and use while on board, but please don't load up a bag of toiletries. It just isn't mature or classy.

please let me clarify that i DON'T take things just because they are free. if i can't use it i don't take it. if i can use it and its free or complimentary i do and will. there is no waste to what i do and i doubt there is waste to anyone else who does this.
your welcome to your opinion but please do not judge me. if you don't want to take then don't and i promise you i will not waste a thing. you can keep thinking i'm not mature or classy, i'll keep using the 'free' shampoo. :cutie:

If they didn't want me to have them they wouldn't keep leaving them, would they?

It's a little nicety after i've paid upwards of $3k to be on the ship for 7 nights, so yeah, the small shampoo, conditioner etc that gets left in my room (probably totalling retail $35USD) gets to come home with me. And I would buy H2O except that the cost to have this stuff posted to Australia is ridiculous.
It doesn't get wasted when I get home, it gets used, and as long as they keep leaving them i'll keep taking them.
It isn't mature or classy? meh Do you run a charm school?
Get a grip people.

(I also take the headphone's on flights if they're free, I take the pretzels, 5 packets they gave my son last time, I take the complimentary toothpaste and toothbrush)

GASP, i'm really, really lacking in maturity and class

popcorn::

You know what is mature and classy though? Making broad, sweeping judgments about people based on how many bottles of shampoo they take.

Not to mention DCL gets this stuff for basically free. It is H2O that has an increased cost. Disney is not buying it because they love us. H2O is placing it to get you hooked

Exactly! Classy people don't resort to name calling.

I'm pretty sure Disney makes up what it loses on sample sizes with what they charge for full-size bottles! Really, shampoo probably costs pennies to manufacture!!! :stir:
