1 crazy family+2 resorts+5 parks+1 snake+1 surprise=A Mickeystoontown report 4/3x2

I saw on Facebook that you had started a new report, and I am all caught up now. I love your reports. You and your family always seem to be having the BEST time.

I am also a PK, the non-rebellious type. :thumbsup2

Port Orleans is pretty, we stayed at Riverside a long time ago when it was Dixie Landings. We really liked the boat to Downtown Disney. Sorry you had such a bad first Disney meal. I loved Hunter's comment to his Mamaw, it sounds like they needed her help.

Great pictures of the resort. The food court does not sound very appetizing! Just from your observations, I'm thinking we won't try out this resort! Can't wait to hear more!!

Yeah, don't think we'll be heading to FQ anytime soon. The heads in the food court already give me the creeps, but with check-in, the dark colors in the room (nothing against your bedroom :rotfl:), and the crinkly food at the food court, I think you just made the case for me NOT staying there.

Lots of updates that time! I love your hair! Are you growing it out? It seems longer than it has been in the past.

Great update!!! I hate you didn't enjoy the food court.. We actually did. I remember getting a philly cheese steak and fries and it was very good. maybe the kitchen was having an off day. :(

Welcome! I'm glad that you're here!

I loved the fact that we could take the boat to Downtown Disney. Such a relaxing way to get there.

The chefs definitely needed some help from some Louisiana gals.

You know, when we were looking at the pics of the resort, it looked beautiful and someplace that we'd like to try. It was pretty but not our style.

Actually, my bedroom isn't that dark...thank goodnes. Just the furniture is similar.;)

I was expecting the food to be good given that the menus sounded appetizing. However, it definitely wasn't worth the money we paid for it.

Oh gosh! My hair! I had grown it out and was going to get my Summer cut when John suggested that I keep it a little longer than I usually get it cut. I went to the beautician and she made a mess of it! I hated it the entire time we were on vacation. I got frustrated a day or two before we left and cut my bangs and made my own mess. Add the fact that Florida water doesn't ever seem to wash out of my hair. I know! It's water and it does wash out but it has a totally different feel that our water at home. It's thicker feeling. Anyway, I hated it and still do. I'm just waiting until it grows out some more and I'm getting my Summer cut!

We are pretty easy to please when it comes to food, especially John. All you gotta do is put a plate of something in front of him and as long as it fills his stomach, he's fine. So, if he didn't eat or like his food, that's pretty serious.

That's how my DH is too. He could eat bologna sandwiches for 7 straight nights and never complain. LOL

Love all of the pictures of POFQ. It is one of the few I have walked around a bit and it is pretty small. Sorry your dinner was not what it should have been.

Yep, that's John. I can't do that though.

I knew that it was small but I had no idea that we could walk from end to end in such a short time.

The food was really bad.

Well, I think it looks great! I decided right before our cruise in April that I was going to get my hair done and colored. Of course, I decided that I was tired of the lighter color and wanted to go darker. Holy Bajolees! It was so dark and I hated it, but there wasn't anything I could do! We didn't get a nice formal picture or anything because I hated it. I've decided that I just can't pull off dark hair. Oh well.

And I completely understand about the Florida water. My hair never feels "right" when I'm there. I've resorted to bringing my own shampoo and conditioner on every trip just to have some chance of it feeling normal.

I mever really realizes how close POFQ was to DTD. I wouldnt't mind staying there for a while. I just couldn't take all the huge heads and masks. Im not a person to like those types of things. Too much like clowns.

I like how close the resort is to DTD. I like the rooms but. I could t eat in the food court. Decorations look too much like clowns and big clowns are worse.

Wait 'til you see it in some of the pictures. It was going all which-a-way and looked a mess! I've done that same kind of dye job on my hair. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting here with some semi-bright auburn color right on top of my head right now. I think that the medium brown auburn they put on the box was wrong! Thank goodness, it's temporary.

I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner with us but it still feels funky.

Great update. Don't you just love the boat ride to DTD? That was my favorite perk of staying at POR, POFQ, and SSR. Did you walk around POR?

Too bad the food court's food wasn't up to par.

Fun picture of Hunter jamming with the gators. How cool to get a birthday message when you got to your room.

Glad Mama's pot roast was good.

You even got a good night kiss of fireworks on your way back to the resort. Very cool!

I hadn't realized it either. It didn't take long at all to get to DTD. I am glad that we tried FQ but we won't be back. Just out personal preference.

Yeah!! :cool1:Another TR from Mickeystoontown!! :worship: Love reading them but usually they are all done when I stumble upon them so I'm finding myself debating between waiting to read it when you are finished, or checking your thread everyday to see if you've posted something new! I will probably do the latter because a) I'm too excited to sleep/wait to read what you post and b) it will help me get that much closer to our trip in October!

At least with your boss calling you while on vacation, you know your job is secure! I work for a lawyer too and while he is super smart, he can't figure out how to work the copier most of the time. :hyper:

Can't wait to read the rest!!!:3dglasses

I'm with Mama! I don't wanna vacation with SNAKES! Living with 'em is one thing, but I don't wanna vacation with them!!!!

Boo to bad food! I wanna stay at POR one day… I just love the look of the Mansions. Of course, I wanna stay in the Tianna rooms, as well! We'll see how that works out!

Oh Lisa, I have finally had time to stop over & at least start reading your new TR. You just crack me up. LOVE LOVE LOVE the family photo (and the insinuation of normalcy LOL).

Thanks for clarifying the mind boggling room changes with photos - what fun! Will try to catch up more this weekend.

More pics of the room taken with our other camera. You can see the colors better in these pics:

Tired but happy to have finally made it back to Disney:

**Continued in next post

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of you and Hunter!!! You need to have it framed!!! The wallpaper border looks like the one I have in my bedroom and bathroom. OK, pardon the interruption........ back to reading........hehehe.
