Any brewers on the boards?

Just curious. I would love to see/ hear about what others are brewing.

We live in a place with TONS of fresh fruit in the summer, and still have jars and jars of plum jam left over from last year. So I figured this year when they start falling, I'll start turning them into wine. To warm up while I wait, I've started some strawberry wine, orange wine with what was left on our trees, and some quick hard lemonade- which the neighbors are loving! My kitchen smells yummy!

I've only heard the term "brewing" used to refer to beer making, so that's what I thought you meant when I read your thread title. DH used to brew, but we've never tried wine making, although I'd like to at some point.

I would love to learn beer at some point, but we only have a few weeks before Dh leaves for a 12 month deployment- not enough time to be able brew it and then enjoy it before he leaves.
Hopefully I'll learn while he's gone and he'll come home and be fully stocked.
And you are right...brewing probably isn't the right word.
