Any brewers on the boards?

Just curious. :) I would love to see/ hear about what others are brewing.

We live in a place with TONS of fresh fruit in the summer, and still have jars and jars of plum jam left over from last year. So I figured this year when they start falling, I'll start turning them into wine. To warm up while I wait, I've started some strawberry wine, orange wine with what was left on our trees, and some quick hard lemonade- which the neighbors are loving! My kitchen smells yummy!

I've only heard the term "brewing" used to refer to beer making, so that's what I thought you meant when I read your thread title. DH used to brew, but we've never tried wine making, although I'd like to at some point.

I would love to learn beer at some point, but we only have a few weeks before Dh leaves for a 12 month deployment- not enough time to be able brew it and then enjoy it before he leaves. :)
Hopefully I'll learn while he's gone and he'll come home and be fully stocked.
And you are right...brewing probably isn't the right word. :rotfl:
