ok so I just called to see if I had a pin connected to my name, of course I don't, BUT... the Disney person I spoke to asked me if my dates were flexible, of course this trip absolutely not. he said if I could change my dates he could give me free dining starting august 25th to December with some black out dates!! he said if I could change my dates to call back and say I was previously told about this offer and ask to have it applied.... just passing this on. Ugh.. I wish I could change my dates this year!!!!

A CM told me that as well. We are arriving on Aug 25. When I had my TA call to add FD, they told her no way. I wish these CMs who get our hopes up would get their facts staight. It's very frustrating.

Are you going in three weeks like your ticker says? If so, I pretty much think the discounts that have been offered for those dates are out. I don't think they will be adding more pins for dates that are so close, but I could be wrong.

I just called to make our reservation for November 30-December 6 and I mentioned to the CM that we were hoping for FD. She said they all just got an email that there will be no more free dining offered this year. What do you all think? In that case, I'm considering only booking my hotel ressies through Disney, getting my tickets elsewhere, and paying for food OOP.

Not really sure, but I don't think they would send out a memo that says that. Possibly it is a cm who is tired of having everyone call them continuously for pin codes and more information on a public release? Then again anything is possible. I am still hoping, but not feeling very confident that we are going to get FD for November.

But I hate to dissapoint...if he shares OUR last name, he ain't rich.

Feel free to imagine him any age or description, I guess.

If he does, indeed, get free dining for life, though, I might actually claim him as a family member.

ETA: We, and apparently Ronald, will be there 9/1-9/9 at AsMo.

We will be at AsMo Aug 25-Sept 3.

I cant remember if these were the dates blocked or the available dates, Im at work and I had to grab the other line and didn't write down what they were. I am just merely passing this on.. I hope its true for those waiting and able to use the free dining

I'll be checking out Walmart this weekend for the mickeys since they carry disney paint. If I see any lime green ones ill grab a bunch!

That's the craziest thing I've heard, especially with other CMs telling people that its coming. But ya know what, they're both wrong because they are the last to know anything. We knew about it and called the first morning only to have some say it didn't exist.

Oh, she told me that they're the last to know. She said they never know until they get to work and see the new offer on their screensaver. She said she did know with certainty, though, that there was no more free dining this year....I'm not trying to be a killjoy. I just don't know if we want to pay full price for the dining plan. I guess, technically, I could leave it on there until the date FD is usually released and then take it off before the penalty date if I decide not to get it.

Don't give up! I can tell you my call was escalated to upper management and we did not have a pin...WE DO have FREE DINING for Oct.18-26

Hmmm... I wonder what this August thru December free dining discount is if not a pin?? My dad received a free dining pin at MY email address, so I have been anxiously waiting for one, to no avail! I am going in November and would love to know that free dining will be offered to the general public!
