November 6, 2013 - Magic from Miami

172 DAYS!!!!!!!! Ok, I know that's a lot, but it's now less than 200!!!! That has to count for something, right????

So how is everyone??? Here in the Midatlantic, Spring has been a bit weird to say the least... One day it's 82, then it's 60 and damp. Since I prefer 85 and sunny, this has been a bit hard on me!!! I would love for Summer to just drive and be done with this!

On Friday, I was accepted to Jacksonville University for their online RN-BSN program., while I am excited to get this done, the thought of going back to school is rather nauseating... So my first class starts on July 6th. I know it will be fine, and I have been thinking about this for the past two years. I'll just feel better when it's done...LOL!!!

On Tuesday, I start my new job as a school nurse in our district. I'm not sure if this is something that I will enjoy, but there's only one way to find out, right??? The position is only per diem, so I will have a chance to get my feet wet, so to speak, without a major commitment. Should be interesting if nothing else!!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I am excited for this trip, but I realize I don't want to wish summer away so it's a hard one lol.

I'm the same way!!! LOL!!!! I LOVE summer more than anything. I really need to move to the South!!!! We are going to wdw and Vero Beach at the end of August, but I'm not sure which I'm more excited about??!!!

I would move to FL tomorrow, but my husband doesn't like the heat. He thinks I am trying to kill him by taking him to WDW in 2 weeks. It's really the only time we could go as Maggie is getting older and I don't want to pull her from school. He is laughing that I seem more excited about the cruise than our trip to the world. I really love cruising so he might be right lol.

I find as I get older that I cannot tolerate the cold anymore. Mind you we had a very mild winter, but I just can't do it!!!!

I just tried to reply, but it didn't work, so lets try again... I love the heat. This was not always the case. I think it's an age thing...LOL!!! The older I get, the more I hate winter. We have been very lucky these past two years with very mild winters. I still hate it!!!!

Omalley,
CONGRATS!!

Don't wish the summer away! Time flies as it is! We will be on our Wonder Alaska cruise the end of August and you have WDW to look forward too!

This is a great cruise for us Jersey people. My kids are just missing a half day school on Wed. We used to cruise that whole week, but my oldest son is now 11, so we don't want to take him out of school too much. We take them out for the Disney Marathon in Jan as it is.... anyway... good luck with the new job and school!

So, I really want to do a 7 night cruise next!! OMG are they expensive!!! With the kids school schedule, there are only a few times during the year that we can go, and I cannot find one that won't give me a heartattack...

I want 7 nights. I don't have to go on the Fantasy. However I do want CC and to not go to Mexico and Jamaica. Am I asking too much??? Probably.

I hear you! My husband goes do you realize we could do Alaska for the cost of our Fantasy cruise next year. If we weren't going with friends, we would seriously reconsider.

Which Fantasy cruise are you doing? I was looking at the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. My other thought is Hawaii!!!!! I have always wanted to go there, and we could stay at Aulani. Of course, it's the airfare that kills... But when you're talking about a Fantasy 7 night sailing, they aren't so different...

We are doing the Eastern July 12, 2014. This one is a family cruise and our daughter who will be 11 (almost 12) will be going as well.

This will be our third Disney cruise; the two prior have both been on the Wonder. I'm kind of hoping it stays quiet. We were on the Wonder in January and it wasn't particularly busy - epic! Our son and his wife are joining us - it is their first cruise! Looking forward to checking out the Magic with all her updates!

Fabulous!!!! I would love for it to be on the quiet side!!! We went on the Wonder in November 2010. It's was our first DCL cruise. I really don't remember it being terribly crowded. We then went on The Dream the next May, and it was very different. Of course, that's a much bigger ship and it was May. Who knows??? As the kids get older, it's harder to find a time to go, as we are more reluctant to take them out of school. November works because we have all break here in NJ.

Well, this will be our 2 cruise. Last one was in 2011 on the Dream. Kids have been dying to go back. We are from NJ (isn't everyone in Florida during this week from NJ). Wife works for a school district while I work for a CPA firm. Boys are 9 and 13. Looking forward to the trip!!

Welcome Dave!!! I'm Kimberley, and this is our third cruise. I am soooo excited about going again. We went in 2010 and 2011, so it's more than time to go back...LOL! We have 2 kids as well; 11yo daughter and 9yo son. They love the cruise and are way excited to be doing it again.

Welcome Aboard!!

Now for something completely different...has anyone been to Disneyland???? I believe we are going to go in August. We have a trip planned to Vero and WDW then, but it looks like I finally convinced DH to try Cal. instead. Anyone??? I was there once in 2001, so obviously it's been awhile... We will be staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel so that we can use our Dvc points.

It's official, off to DLR in August!!! This is a complete departure for us...as we are diehard WDW fans. We will be staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel with Dvc points and buying the 5 day city pass. I'm looking forward to something a bit different, especially for the kids. We have been talking about this for 3years or so. I think that at 9 and 11, this is a great time. DH is worried about the longer plane ride...what can you do??? I won't let that stop us!! Of course those are brave words now...by the time we are over the Midwest, I may want to kill myself!
