Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES RESORT Information & Questions

Ok I have another question..What type of soap and shampoo is in the room? On all the pic. that I have found I can only tell they are Mickey Mouse, but I was wondering if anyone knew what brand they were. Thank you!!

H2O Plus makes the soap and hair products for Disney resorts and cruise line.

It's h20 brand. But I will tell you the value shampoo is awful. It's a shampoo/cond. combo and not very nice at all. My husband who will use any kind of shampoo even hates it. We bring our own when we stay at Values.

Agreed - it's dreadful! It left my hair all dry and crispy and I couldn't wait to get home and get some normal shampoo and conditioner in it. I always take my own now.

That's good to know! We usually bring our own when we travel anyway. Thank you guys! I have one last question..Do you know if they sell the pressed penny books in the gift store of the resort?

I was just there, yes they do.

When you do your online check in could you ask for a particular building or just add a note to your reservation ?

i just sent a email to disneyworld to put this request to my reservation and they said that i have to call to modify my reservation, in 2011 they just added my preference after my email so it's weird
or the fax request are still a good way ?

Look back a page in this thread in my post #2375 to see screens from online check-in for All-Star Movies.

During online check-in you can request a section but not specific building numbers. If you want to add a specific building number, you can do so, but you do need to call 407-WDW-MAGIC for that request.

They haven't been able to do it via email for as long as i can remember....so I am guessing never. Who did you email?
You must call it in. Thats the only way and it's not guaranteed either. They assing rooms about 3-4 days before check in, so it's best to have it noted on your reservation. You can ask at check in if it was fullfilled and if not, you can ask them to find something else, which I have done once and they still didn't get me where i wanted to be.
The fax is kind of outdated. It used to be that you could fax about 5 days prior to check in to remind them of your requests, but it seems like now they don't even look at them for the most part from what i hear.

I believe the fridges are now standard. We had one in our room in January and did not have to put in a special request for it! :)

Yay! Glad to hear Values now have fridges. All the more reason to stick with value resorts. We actually talked about upgrading to a moderate during free dining since it was only a different of $100 total, but DD would rather stay at Movies.

What we always liked about the AS resorts is the "in yo face" Disney feel and is one of the reasons we like to stay there.

Someone mentioned that one of the all stars food courts will be going down for rehab this fall. Does anyone know which one?
