Which Walt Disney World Park Should You Visit First?

This is a question many first-timers ask.
If you are looking for that classic magical experience you see and hear about, Magic Kingdom is where you should head first. That moment, walking down Main Street towards Cinderella Castle in the distance along with the many classic attractions, restaurants, characters, and sites is truly magical.
Personally, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and then Animal Kingdom sounds like the perfect order, but everyone's interests differ.

Here's the Breakdown.

If you love the classic Disney touch, Magic Kingdom is your first destination.
If you love exploring technology, food, other countries, or all of the above combined, Epcot is for you.
If you love the Disney Major Motion Pictures, making films, exploring Hollywood, Star Wars, or just being a movie fanatic then hop on over to Hollywood's Studios to start your adventure.
And lastly, if you like learning and observing animals and wildlife, go explore Animal Kingdom to start off.

If Magic Kingdom is not your first choice, at least go sometime during your stay. It is the icon and heart of Disney magic.

Magic Kingdom is winning, give Epcot some love!

Magic kingdom, Epcot the same evening, next day, Epcot, Magic kingdom for fireworks. Then probably AK, with Epcot for evening, Then maybe HS for half day, and back to MK and EPCOT.

Thanks-- we always stay either on the monorail loop or at an Epcot resort for the ability to walk to a starting point or walk to the room from a finishing point.

Epcot is my close second.

Depends on what day of the week you arrive in the World, where EMH is, and whether or not you're up for rope drop on day one or not

We have no particular rules on where to go first. We end up at whatever park is most convenient for our schedule.

Finally! I was waiting for the Epcot fans! Epcot is my second because MK is just so classic. I still can't get over WoL being almost completely gone (just about everything left has been taken away). :'( Great choice!

We're starting out this trip with Epcot (as we have done before) but it just doesn't feel like Disney until we have walked down Main Street!

I visit whichever has the lowest crowd level on my first day. Always. No matter which park it is. So I couldn't vote in your poll

I agree with other posts that say it depends -- that said, I voted for HS just because I love riding RnRC at the start of my trip! Also, I'm able to get HS out of the way in the morning and head to a larger park later in the day...

We visited MK first on our first trip and will be on this trip as well. Our favorite park is Epcot, but to us MK is Disney, so it has to be first!! I need to see the castle!

But I should add that we have hoppers and will be visiting Epcot the same day just because we love it.
