Hi all,

Can someone please help?

Are you able to use DDP the day you check in? We fly into MCO on the 23rd July and are staying SSR and want to be able to go out for a meal that night as we are not going to need DDP the next day as we are going to Discovery Cove and will eat there!

Thanks

Yes you can, as soon as you check in and receive your key to the world card (or new wrist band), you're good to go to the parks and start using the dining plan :)

Yes, we always go grab some food on the night of arrival just to keep us awake a while long and hold off the jet lag! :rotfl:

Once you've checked in, you will have access to your dining plan credits on your KTTW card (or wristband depending on when you go!). You might find that you are too tired to go for a table service meal, but we tend to grab a quick service meal at the food court the night we get in.

The day we checked in, we caught the boat to dtd and went to Wolfgang Puck's - fantastic quick service meal highly recommended on the Dis and close to SSR.:confused3

We usually go out for a meal on the first night.
However weve finally realised its too much for us, so going to try counter service at our hotel next time :rotfl:

once you check in you get all your dining credits, snacks & refillable mug added to your room key.
you can use them when you want-well up until midnight on the day you check out. :thumbsup2

Lucky you, not long to go. :cool1:

We normally are too bushed for a sit down meal on the first night. It's become a bit of a tradition that we go to DTD (we stay at SSR too!) and have an Earl of Sandwich. It really hits the spot before we fall into bed exhausted!

I would agree with the PPs about a full sit down meal. How about you use the credits from that day towards a signature or character meal which need two TS credits.
