NOTE: The buffets are reasonably priced for a Disney park eatery.
Although the selection could be more varied, there are menu items
for most tastes. Although highly Americanized, the dishes do have
an African flair. Breakfast is usually very crowded (up to 1100 people
served), and ADR's are highly recommended. There are four-to-five
really good vegetarian options on the buffet. Character interaction is
probably the best of any character meal, as they spend an awful lot
of time with the guests. Lunch has tastes for both the pickiest and
adventurous eaters. Safari Donald is available for pictures (but, he
signs no autographs) before you enter; plus, this is the only place in
AK you can see Daisy. Be prepared for a loud environment,
PS - At breakfast, make sure you drink The Jungle Juice !
NOTE2: They no longer offer Nemo reserved seating if you eat there
for lunch. With the lunch characters, they are so crowded that they
do not need the Nemo inducement.
NOTE3: shhhhh. Top Secret. OK, maybe not so much. If you have an ADR
for up to 9:20am, you can get admitted through the Main Gate as early as
7:45am, and be seated at Tusker quickly. If you are Japanese, you can have
an ADR as late as 10:00am and get in as early as 7:45am.
