Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls tonigth .......

Can someone tell me per adult what it would cost to upgrade? And if I put this on my Disney Visa does this qualify me for the 6 months no interest?

Disney math! Ugh!

It's just the difference between the 2 plans. About $18 per night, per adult and about $3 per child, per night.

And yes you would qualify for the 6 months no interest.

It happened because I booked it for my nephews... at least once, maybe twice, but really, that's neither here nor there as it has not been included in a long.long.time.
I remember the campsites being included in free dining one year. I don't remember when it was, but it was a long time ago. People were booking campsites to get the free dining and then staying elsewhere.

Late October isn't blacked out. MID October is blacked out. Many schools have Fall breaks in mid-October, and it is usually dates in the first and second (and sometimes into the third) full weeks that have been blacked out. This year's room discount bounceback picked back up on Sunday October 20, and historically the GP FD offer picks back up the Friday before the bounceback date, so Friday October 18. Hoping it follows the same pattern it has the last few years. :goodvibes

Well I hope for you it does. Never New of a fall break. New England kids don't get this.

Thanks! :goodvibes Many schools have Fall Breaks, especially those that go year round. We don't go year round, but our schools start in mid August and go through the first week of June. We get a week off in October, 3 days for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Christmas, a four day weekend (Fri/Mon) for Presidents' Day, and a week in March/April for Spring Break. :goodvibes

Zip a dee do dah! Zip a dee aey...my oh my what a WONDERFUL day!!! :goodvibes::rolleyes1:yay: I have been doing this every since I first heard this great news!!! I had just crunched the numbers last night...as a family of 5 where 2 of our 3 kids are now adults, I wasn't sure how everything would shake out...I calculated out how much we would pay out of pocket for our meals if we did not purchase the plan (as we don't typically eat as much as the plan includes, and our 11 and 12 year old certainly would not order an adult meal all of the time . . . ) and while the estimated cost for us is signifcantly less than the actual cost of the plan....including tips....I wasn't sure how it would work out. But, when I "guestimated" a 20% discount at POR as that tends to be what they offer, the "Free Dining" at a total discount of -$1676.76 for our family is definately the better deal.

The stars have all aligned for us this year...we scored $576 round trip airfare....for ALL FIVE of us from the Philadelphia area!!!! Hope the weather cooperates too.

Yahooo!!!! Wishing all of you equally bountiful savings!!!

OMG, I better not let my son see this or he'll want to move to Ohio(lol) In New England,They get the major holidays off.2days for thanksgiving.1 week for Christmas.1 week in February and 1 week in April. They usually start the Wednesday before labor day and get out the begining of the second week of June as long as we don't have to makeup snow easy

So we already have flights to arrive on 8/31. We leave 9/8. We are a family of 5 and planning to stay at POR. What is my best option to take advantage of free dining? Book two nights room only then start a package on 9/2? We have plans to go to a park on 9/1. Will it still be possible to get tickets early once they roll out all the magic band stuff? I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. :flower3:

I'm so disappointed with that offer. We go the same time every year we go and this year was going to be 8/27-9/3. If there isn't anything offered at all I might just have to skip and look at the Outer Banks.

Yes, that's probably your best bet. We haven't heard anything to the contrary, so you should still be able to pick up your package tickets up to 3 days early at Downtown Disney or any park guest relations desk.

:( is there anyway you could go earlier in August the room discount is a pretty nice discount for summer and still avaliable for booking- maybe skip the dining plan and stock up on gift cards for meals??

Oh I hope hope hope that our dates aren't blacked out when/if free dining is released into October. Our dates are 10/3-10/10....hoping for pixie dust!!!

I live in Ohio and we don't have those days off either. Nor do any schools in the area. We start early though, mid august, which totally sucks, but normally out by the last week of May.
I always wished we had a fall break when I was in school. :rotfl:

Wow, super bummed, since we already bought our plane tickets arriving 8/29.
Oh well - guess free dining isnt in the cards for us this year. I think the plan is now to rent a car and do more off-site dining:confused3. We still will be at Disney.

Same here. But I haven't been in school ,well let's just say I'll be celebrating my 25th class reunion this year. But I wont be going to it if it falls during my disney vacation because disney comes first!!!

I don't know who could answer this for me but I noticed that fd falls on the holiday. I'm going the day before veteran's day. If fd happens, how would you take advantage of this. If I do a room only on the Sunday then start my pkg on the Monday I know you can pick up your passes early but can you actually start to use them.
