So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Thankfully we've not had flooding in my town, but places close to us are having a hard time. It's a delicate balance up here -- we need moisture for the crops & plants, but we've gotten too much recently. Hopefully we'll have blue skies & nice weather soon!!

I might be able to come for the Opry meet. I'll talk to Katie Schafer, too, maybe she'd be able to come too. I might take 1/2 day off work on the 5th so we'd drive down & then come home Sunday. A quick trip but I think it'd be fun!!

I'm not bored around here. I love reading your reports and looking at your fantastic pictures. I look forward to coming on and seeing your adventures, it takes my mind of all the craziness at work at the moment

We might make it for the Nashville meet in July. We will find out for sure in the next couple of weeks when dh finds out if his vacation was approved.

I am so embarrassed but I can't remember what the exact July plans are :rolleyes1

I know it was discussed but forgot to put details in my calendar. Please share again :)

On my calendar! I found out a week ago my BFF and her family are coming for the 4th, so if you don't mind 3 more Dis kids (it's the family who come to Disney with us every other trip), it will work:cool1::cool1:

I know that I've said this before, but I'm so sad I will miss the July dismeet. We are at wdw until the 5th and need to be home on the 7th :(

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I am still reading along. Just too depressed with no trip planned to actually comment. I will try and be better. I really enjoy your trip reports and they do bring my disney spirits up...so thank you.

KIM

Hi memom. I'm still here, following along with your wonderful report. Just get time to read somedays and not always comment. Planning like crazy for our August return to Pop. Can't wait.:cool1:

Good Tuesday morning! I just love the WL. We have never stayed there, but I love going over to explore the area. I need to stay at VWL now that we have DVC. I hope everyone has a great week. I have work, Little League baseball this week. I am off work Friday for my birthday so I am happy!

Wilderness Lodge is especially pretty at Christmas time. Maybe you can do that someday. :santa:

Good luck in your baseball games this week! And we'll wish you a Happy Birthday here - and then again on FB on Friday. It's nice for you to have a short week! :thumbsup2

We would love to have Katie and Katie! :cool1: :cool1: Hope you can make it happen! :woohoo:

Put July 6th on my calendar! Would be a nice weekend getaway with Hannah.

Yay! :tigger: Stop by the pool and pick up our favorite DIStown swim instructor, too! :goodvibes

The DIS is a great escape. isn't it? ::yes:: I am glad you are not bored. A lot of our friends have become travel agents in the past couple of years, and they are too busy to DIS much any more. Also, some have had little ones that keep them very busy. So, I guess I should just figure that whenever I throw coins in the WL fountain for new babies, we might also be losing readers.

Come on, friend! Do it, do it, do it!

You need to stop right here and bring us all some fresh Disney magic!

Maybe you need to have some Disney days at your house! :dance3: Host a Disney themed party. Or maybe fake some Disney-ness. Is there a Disney Store near you and a Rainforest Cafe? Take a trip to the zoo and pretend it's Animal Kingdom. Or make a trip to Nashville to join a gang of DISers on July 6th. :cheer2:

Yay for August! :goofy: And yay for Pop! :hippie:
I'll be back in school after a whirlwind summer, so maybe you can load us up with pictures to help hold us over until Christmas.

:scared: I never ever ever ever ever want to know how many snakes are down in that wooded creek area!!!! :crazy2: despite that, Wilderness Lodge would be a very fun place to stay!

My guess is a lot of your readers are too busy to Dis because of wishes on that fountain! ;)

Jill messaged that she had gone over to AoA to eat and look around while the girls were resting.

I keep thinking I want one of these, but then again, I am not sure I would use it. I carry water bottles around all day. I have one in every corner of my classroom so that water is always at hand. I am used to drinking it from a bottle, so it would seem odd to have a cup and straw.

Back at the Hippy Dippy pool, the fun is still going on.

I took pictures of food choices. Not sure why, as it does not appear that I got anything.

Time to do some candy trading with Brooklynn.

Oct2012Middle761.jpg

Little did she know, she could have had it all. I brought back a little for my class, but I am not a big candy person. I do like Butterfinger, Almond Joy, Reese's Cups, and some kinds of M&M's.

After trades had been made, we went down to meet Brandy, Sloan, and the boys at where Mowgli and Baloo hang out.

Oct2012Middle762.jpg

Our girls never think about walking on this flowerbed wall, but see what happens when they get around those heathen boys?!?!? ;)

July 6th at Opry Mills. Anita and Marc will be in town, and Dawn is pretty sure she is coming. Hopefully Erica will come, too, even though she doesn't DIS any more. Jackie and Heather are 'maybes', and some others from the area are, as well. We have even had a few from further away that said they might make a mini-trip of Nashville that weekend. :thumbsup2 The time part is completely negotiable. It can be pretty much any time for us, so we'll go with what is best for the majority.

Yay! :tigger: Stop by the pool and pick up our favorite DIStown swim instructor, too! :goodvibes

I need to double check the weekend rotation but right now I don't think I am working since it is 4th of July weekend and I would remember a holiday weekend. I know I have one at the end of the month near my birthday.

Oh heck let me go out to the car ....

Working June 21-23 and July 26-28 so I am GOOD to go. :cool1:

Now to work out a few other logistics.....

How nice to see sun and flowers instead of snow. We just made a new record with 51 inches this month. They are saying 60's later this week and we may hit 70 on Sunday. I can't believe the girls don't walk on walls. My grandkids have done that forever. Of course the oldest is a boy so I guess he taught the girls. ;)

It sounds like July 6th is going to be a quite the DISmeet! We probably need to say something about it on FB. There might be some friends around that haven't been keeping up on the trip report that we could get to come and visit with all of us for a bit....:goodvibes

Heathen boys :) yep that's what they do.

Your July 6th meet is sounding like a lot of fun!!!

If everybody moves south, I don't think it will make the planet tilt, so come on down where it is warm! :cool1:
:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Tonga Toast really is best when eaten at the beautiful Polynesian Resort. :thumbsup2
Well it seems that I may actually get to enjoy Tonga Toast at the Poly soon because we're headed back to Florida!!! :cool1::cool1: The discussion has been there for awhile but it gets put off. We (DBF, his parents and I) decided to just pick up and head back down there. I put my two week notice in on Monday and then called my dad immediately. He's excited to have me back in the state. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. I wish I had more time to adjust to the decision but hey, I'll be in Florida! :yay::yay:

Great pictures of WL!

Good to know that AoA has sushi available. Although I prefer the cooked kind.

I am so glad that some that have never met face-to-face are finally going to meet!

Several of our DIS friends were having cold temps and even snow yesterday.

Well, the girls do like to try to walk on exciting things sometimes, but more on curbsides than walls. The wall that people sit on outside The Land in Epcot is the one they tend to want to try, but they don't normally think about walking on that particular Pop Century flowerbed wall. They were more than happy to join those crazy boys up there, though. ;) Luckily, no one was hurt in the fun. :)

Yep, that is a good idea. I will throw it out on FB this week, and everyone who is coming can, as well. It might be the biggest meet we have been to yet!

Heathen boys :) yep that's what they do.

Your July 6th meet is sounding like a lot of fun!!!

I know, because I raised boys. They did everything Jill never thought about doing - and they did it at a 120% full speed ahead. They have many battle scars that tell the stories.

We are looking forward to the fun in July! :dance3:

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I have been wanting this to happen for you for a long time. It is too :cold: up there where you are! It is normal to be nervous with any move, of course. Will you try to go back to work for WDW?

Those menu boards were from Pop, but I can't wait for you to check out Art of Animation. I am just excited for you to be back on your old stomping grounds and be able to walk across the bridge to something very cool where there used to be abandoned buildings. :)

*****************************************

Good morning, DIStown!

We are so excited about our growing July DIS meet! :cheer2: We love meeting new friends and seeing others meet new friends.

This morning, our second-grade team is providing snacks for the 3rd and 4th grade teachers who are doing TCAP testing this week, so I have to get on and get all of that together. Next week, K-1-2 will do SAT 10 testing. After testing, everyone can breathe easy and have some fun to close out the year. It has been a good year for me, as I have had a good class. I have a couple of little 'stinkers', but nothing they have done this year has been anything near some of the issues I have had from some past classes, so I cannot complain one bit. I will miss this group, and if I ever had to loop up with a group, this would be it, but I don't dare say that out loud, because I don't want to loop at all; I just want to stay put in second. Of course, if I have a wild group next year, I may be eating those words about September, right? ;)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, friends, or Wacky Wednesday, if you choose. You could always dress like Bella did yesterday for her Wacky Tacky Day and see how things go for you. :thumbsup2

Back at you, hope it's a wonderful day for you as well. CT's testing is in March, so we have been done for a bit and now that we are back from spring break- which was last week- time will fly and before we know it June 21- the last day- will be here :)
Big tennis match for the boys today, I actually think it is supposed to be nice here the rest of the week !

We may get over to check out AoA while we are there. Not sure with only being there 4 nights but we shall see.

Love seeing all the dining choices they have. Quite a bit to choose from.:thumbsup2

Wish I lived closer so I could join the Dismeet. Sounds like you will have a good crowd!!

Sheesh, it seems like I'm in perpetual catch-up mode around here lately. :faint: I definitely need to find more time to hang out in DIStown!!!

Let us know when one of your trips overlaps with one of ours. We have a decent-sized group going during Christmas to New Year, so there will be food and fun.
Hmmm, I was actually thinking about a potential trip over the Christmas/New Year's timeframe. Maybe I need to look into some plans for doing just that......................... ::yes::

When the Mountain riders returned, we got on the train.
Riding the train, then a boat to Wilderness Lodge is a great way to end a trip to the MK! Some great shots along the way!!! :thumbsup2

This is what I really came for.

Oct2012Middle689.jpg
This is the baby/children wish fountain, correct? Guess there hasn't been any progress on that "relationship" fountain designation yet............ :rolleyes1

Back over toward Whsipering Canyon to borrow the facilities before I headed out.

Oct2012Middle711.jpg
You ladies and your bathroom pics............. :sad2: Is that a MeMom sighting I see in the mirror peeking around the corner???

How many snakes are down there?

Oct2012Middle714.jpg
I see six, but I might have missed a couple........... :rotfl:

Oh wait, that was probably rhetorical................

I love walking through Wilderness Lodge and seeing everything. It is one of my favorites with the design. Strangely I haven't ever gone over and toured the WL Villas! It looks really great too. I guess I need to make a point to do that next time I head that way.

There is much to do here, if you need some time out of the crowds.

Oct2012Middle741.jpg

Oct2012Middle742.jpg
Pop looks like a really great place to explore and enjoy everything! Maybe a stay here sometime would be really fun, but it looks like you need lots of time to take it all in................ :)

July 6th at Opry Mills. Anita and Marc will be in town, and Dawn is pretty sure she is coming. Hopefully Erica will come, too, even though she doesn't DIS any more. And now a July 4th DIStown meet also??? You know, I may have to try and make that one since I think I will have some time off over that weekend. Hmmmm, looks like something else to start planning..........??? :hyper: :surfweb: :woohoo:

Jill messaged that she had gone over to AoA to eat and look around while the girls were resting.

Oct2012Middle743.jpg
I love this shot over the lake!

Time to do some candy trading with Brooklynn.

Oct2012Middle761.jpg

What a sneak you are. Sounds like a great way to keep the kids from overdoing it on the sweets! :rotfl2: And how could you possibly go wrong with Butterfingers, Almond Joys, Reese's, M&M's......................... :yay:

Our girls never think about walking on this flowerbed wall, but see what happens when they get around those heathen boys?!?!?

Oct2012Middle763.jpg
I cannot believe those sweet girls could be such a bad influence on the boys, making them play follow the leader like that. If you aren't careful, those women will lead you astray every time...................... ;)

Good luck with all the end of year testing! Glad you had such a good class this year!!! :goodvibes
