June 17 Wonder to Alaska

Hello there....I know, I have been going crazy with the digital page....so many cute things, I want them all. Cannot believe that the group of designers do all of that for free.....Getting sooo excited, I can't stand it. :yay:

I know Jayne is doing an awesome job organizing the MUFE and RM. Kudos to her.

Ok I am being nosy, what's the digital page? :)

Ok I am being nosy, what's the digital page? :)

Its a group page on Facebook called Graphics for All Lovers of Disney - you have to ask to join the group and there are people on there that design all kinds of graphics, all you have to do is ask with a please and thank you! The MUFE Member graphic was created by one of the awesome designers.

You and my husband both! :rotfl2:
My dad insists the prices will drop a little bit more so we're holding out. I pretty much know WHEN we're planning on departing and returning, just haven't actually made the commitment yet. 1-2 more weeks and I'll have to do it just for my own sanity!

The curtains block so much sun that occasionally Lionel and I wake up with no idea of what time it is! If you a clothespin or two you can keep any of the light from peeking through where the curtains come together :thumbsup2

I got a great travel mug onboard for our last Alaska sailing - I love it and still use it. Hoping they have them again this year.

LOL - ok, keep us posted on the airfare! I'll feel much better once you've booked it! LOL :rotfl: I'm just hoping now these new budget cuts that just kicked in don't impact us. Thanks for the tip on the clothes pin for the curtains - great idea! :goodvibes

I make digital scrapbooks for myself so I have some really cute items saved and we'll be making our magnets soon for Alaska!

WOOHOO :cheer2:

Welcome!
Are you on the June 17th sailing?
Hello Linda67!
Yes! We are on the June 17 sailing! I have two boys, ages 5 (soon) and 8. The Fish Extender activity sounds like it might be fun for them but I'm a little concerned about packing space and also need ideas about what would be appropriate. Do you give just one gift for the entire party in the stateroom or separate gifts for individuals in the same stateroom (hope that makes sense!)? And how do we know when to deliver our items?

Thank you for all of the great info!
Happy Hom

Hi there! Our FE group is still building. Its a small group so far. Deadline to sign up is May 10th. I am organizing the group - I am 808MauiMama. I mentioned doing one family (stateroom) gift that represents where you're from and one individual gifts. Additional gifts are optional. We'll see how many people we have at the deadline to decide. I also want to say, that this is "recommended" and not mandatory as I previously stated. I don't think "mandatory" was a good word to use. I want everyone to feel comfortable and not stressed over this. Hope you will join us!!

Official Membership cards will be available for $1 ea - comes with a official MU Student (or Faculty) ID and this MUFE Member ID in a id pouch on a lanyard. The two id cards will be laminated together and can be removed from the ID pouch and kept as a souvenir!

Sign up now!!

Working on the lanyard design!

Special Occasion celebrating

I'm wondering if you all would like to share more information such as

Please Private Message me these details if you want and I will add it to my spreadsheet. Everyone signed up by May 10th will receive this list by private message(I think, if I can figure it out).

I'm busy working on my projects, are you!!

We had a very similar Amazon order! In addition to the Bug Repellant Wipes I did sunscreen wipes and all in One laundry sheets.

I am so super excited about this cruise!! pixiedust: On the one hand I want it to be here already and on the other there is so much to do beforehand that I feel like I am running out of time.

Anyone familiar with Mendehall Glacier trails from the visitor center? I want to hike one while we are there but want to pick one that the kids can do.

Are the bug repellent wipes any good?
Seems they would be nice and easy to pack and I hate the usual sprays
Hope you don't have to use the motion sickness pills!

I have never used these wipes, so we will see - Trader Ben, I think. They are 30% DEET. I figured it would be less hassle than packing a 3 Oz. Bottle.

I tend toward mild motion sickness. I take a pill a day when we cruise or fly, and that seems to do the trick. I don't get horribly sick, just enough to annoy me and ruin an afternoon, so I medicate prophlactically. My DD can get a little queasy at times if she reads in the car, so I want to be prepared. I don't want her to have a bad trip, so I will wrap a pill in a slice of cheese at breakfast. LOL

Thanks for the reminder on the Deet wipes! I think I ordered the exact same ones from Drugstore since they were just a tad cheaper (shocking!) and I had to order a few other items from there.

Like you, I also take a Bonine every day as a "just in case". My DS and DH do just fine and I travel with stuff for them too, but I'd rather not be any kind of sick on my stomach and the Bonine works perfectly. After getting off the Fantasy this past December, the airport was moving quite a bit (lol :rotfl2:) and I had swaying feelings for at least 3 days. Several on our cruise thread had the same symptoms (the last night was a little rocky) so I learned from reading the thread to keep taking the Bonine after getting home to help with that. I wasn't sick or anything - just felt off for a few days.

Pretty soon we'll be able to say, "we're going in a month and a half!" :cheer2:

Thanks for the info. I am going to try and find some of these wipes in the UK
When I was out in the US for business a couple of weeks ago I picked up some Dramamine (stuff like this is so expensive in England!)
I read somewhere that you should start taking it a couple of days before you board so I will probably do that, and then just take one per day, probably before bed
I just don't want to be drowsy durning the day - too much to do!!
The motion doesn't seem to bother DH at all

In only a couple of days we will be able to say "we are cruising next month" :)

Eeeeee....I got my Pixar shirts back from vistaprint and they look awesome!! It was so awesome seeing you ladies on FB! That website is amazing! There are such talented people on there that are so generous!
Working on my FE gifts today. ;)
I had a question for anyone that's a little more used to taking taxis or other public transportation, (here in So. Cal everyone drives everywhere!)
I will be traveling with my 2 year old and he still needs to be in a car seat. Do taxis usually have car seats with them? Or is Vancouver easily traveled with the bus / train system? I'm wanting to avoid renting a car if I can...:scared1:

Any insight would be appreciated!!

Blessings!

Okay..I'm officially gonna need another door to decorate. Those designers are just driving me nuts with all the cool designs. I'm wanting it ALL....am I the only one going crazy? Now that my guests are gone, I have to get going on crafting like a mad woman....lol.
