January 4, 2014 Fantasy, Trust, and Pixie Dust!

Just got an email from JetBlue that they are extending their schedule tomorrow up util January 6, 2014... Looks like I'll be up early to check out the fare on my trip there.

We got 10% off the price and 200 USD stateroom credit (we booked a balcony stateroom)

So what is the deal on re-booking while on the cruise?

You also only have to put 10% down instead of the usual 20% if booking elsewhere - and even if you don't know when you are cruising again, book a "dummy date" (has to be 7 nights or longer to get the OBC) and you can always change it up later. Your discounts follow you as it's based on the reservation number assigned at the time of booking!

The $200 OBC is for 7 nights or longer, I believe it might be $100 for the shorter cruises

When we did a rebook last month it was $200 or nothing, so I think they keep changing it up..... :)

I checked on-line after this post, and looked in the onboard booking offer we got on the ship for 2013-14 Itineraries. It states $100 for cruises less than 7 nights. There are times when no OBC will be given. For instance we did the Galveston cruise this Jan, and because of the special offer for children, no other discounts or credits would apply. If none of these specials were true for you and you booked one of these, I would call Disney Cruise Line to ask for the OBC.

Thanks - it wasn't an issue for us as we booked a 7 nighter - anything else is TOO short! :)

Hey everyone, just checking in! Realized I havent been on here in a while. How is the planning going? Besides the fact that I have a lot of the planning already done, I have been quite busy lately to be planning for this trip. Still waiting to book flights, once those are in place all of my various scenarios will fall in place :-).

Its lovely spring weather out here and we have been enjoying it. Went up to Lake tahoe last weekend and had a relaxing time. I am trying to get myself to Disneyland here soon! just have to figure out who's coming with me lol. Hope all is well with everyone.

Hi everyone! Well I am STILL waiting on Virgin America to release their dates for January 2014. I called and they said they don't release dates until 6 months before like Southwest. Oh well. I downgraded from my upgrade, lol. I was originally in a cat 11c, then went up to a cat 7a, then up to a cat V, and now because I've decided that I want to do the WBPC leaving May 2, 2014, I have again downgraded back down to a cat 7a. So, no cabana for me probably. Oh well. I'd rather have 3 weeks of cruising than 7 + a cabana. Hope everyone is doing well! My friend just sent me a few pictures from her Dream cruise. Oh my gosh the ship is beautiful! Can't wait for our cruise! :dance3:

:cool1:Glad to see you are still with us luv2!! Someday you will get your concierge trip (fingers crossed for port upgrade)- but this way you get to cruise twice!!! I am still worried that my two cruises in 2014 are too much - but going forward with the concept of doing both! Trying to figure out how to squeeze a quick trip on the refurbed Magic in Nov - anyone want to join me? This gets addicting, doesn't it? Wish Bob liked them more!

Heading to WDW this weekend. YAY!!!:yay::yay:

We are going to experiment the "2 cruises a year scheme" after our Fantasy cruise this January with a cruise on the Magic this August on the Med ... The very last one before it gets transformed !!!
We're already looking at options for Summer 2014 in the Med to see how the Magic looks after the refurb. And of course, we're back to the Fantasy next January with you all ! Excitiiiiiiiiing !!!

Wish I knew where my life will take me that far out in advance, I'd love to book another cruise, I am truly addicted to cruising. But for now this January date is as far out as I can go :-)

Hope everyone is doing well, we are getting CLOSER and CLOSER!!!

I'm going to Disneyland in a couple weeks, it's been way too long, I am deprived and going through DL withdrawals.

WooHoo....just booked my air down January 3rd. Southwest doesn't have schedules out beyond that...but who cares about coming back.. :rotfl2:

haha i saw it was out for the trip down, but not for the way back so i was holding off...

on another note, anyone have an idea on the fish extender group? trying to get an idea of how many people i will have and all that jazz

Room is booked at WDW! I waited until today (should have gotten up at 5 am on June 1st but I completely forgot) and got 3 nights at the Saratoga Springs Resort. I decided to go from Jan 1st to the 4th and stay 3 nights. Can't wait to see the Osbourne Family Lights! Waiting on flights now. Virgin's schedule should open up July 1st for that date.

That is so exciting!!!! Can you tell me what the Benoit of waking up at 5am on June 1st would have been??? I am going to be needing post cruise WDW rooms, haven't even really decided how many nights but probably 3. I also am not sure how I want to book them, separate or in a package...also not sure if I should upgrade my ap to a premier!!!! So many decisions so little time, any advice anyone?

It was to get a 7 month DVC room booking. I used DVC points. I am buying a regular ticket. Too many cruises to go to DL this year. A premier pass makes sense though. I wish they'd put it on the payment plan.

Oh I see the dvc booking makes sense... I guess I really need to start finalizing the plan for his trip and figure out wdw.. My pass expires I August and I will decide based on cost which will save me more money the premier or just buying a ticket (and keeping my premium pass of course). I think I will look into packages through Costco. I've booked with them for Disneyland a few times and the added perks have been really nice!!! Other than that once flights come out we can book those and then this trip will essentially be all set!!! Time is really flying!! It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we booked it.

To Anyone waiting to join the Facebook group, I promise I will get to it as soon as I can!

Hello All!

I am BonnieJG's son, Adam Green. I have been reading the DisBoards for about 6 months, and finally got around to registering. I sent a request to the FB group, as myself, DW and DD (6) are very much interested in the FE.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you while we continue to countdown the 7 months until our cruise!
