Amy and I are so humbled by the kindness you have shown us regarding to FE exchange. Like LoveMM, Amy has planned little things for the boys, don't feel obligated to do an FE as it was us who missed the well announced deadline and honestly had to educate ourselves on what a FE, DS, DD, and DH (me at times) As this is our first with DCL. We will be ready next round. Has any looked into doing an OBB for their next cruise? I'm noticing that our options out of Galveston for 2014 are limited to January. We were hoping to take advantage of the discount and OBC, but not sure we can cruise again before January....and with school stuff January is hard for our kiddos. Anyone else looking at this?

DCL is offering the military rate again this week, so it's possible that there will be more people booking and more interested FE participants over the next week or so. If so, you all could start your own FE group. I participated in a group in March that had 10 cabins and it was really fun and had a low stress factor.

I've put a bit more planning into this FE and am creating personalized gifts, so a cutoff date was needed in order to get the gifts completed in time. But, I'll be happy to help you create the spreadsheet for the new group if more people express interest.

Like disjest8 said it will be fewer cabins and low stress. In the past FE exchanges I've done, you just let the other cruisers know how many in each cabin and the ages of the kids. Sometimes they do gifts for the kids only, adults too, or a gift for the entire stateroom. Pretty much anything goes! If there are allergies, then note it. Just hang your pockets and wait for them to fill up! Lots of sites have FE pockets already made and all they do is add personalization. Be aware of their time frames because they get busy! I like Gradysmommy on Etsy. I've ordered several things from her from pockets to pillowcases. Let us know if you have more questions...

Hi Jenna welcome aboard! So excited for you and your son for your first Disney cruise! I think there will be another FE list started so you're in luck. Some cruisers made personalized gifts hence the deadline for the original FE (April 1?). There are lots of FE gift ideas on this site and how to make an FE pocket or you can just order one to make it easy. There are so many things to do to prepare for a Disney cruise but you can do as much or little as you want. The Disboards is a wealth of information and can be quite overwhelming at times. If I can help, this will be our 4th Disney cruise, please let me know. Just off the top of my head I would suggest doing these things:

magnets to decorate door (fun and easy to find your room)
autograph book (character meet/greet and this cruise has a character breakfast so no waiting in lines)
pillowcases, frames, etc to leave at guest services (character autographs)
snacks for movies or shows
FOR THE ADULTS: Disney lets you bring wine or alcohol in your carry on.

Like I said before, there is so much information but try not to stress and overall have fun!

Working on my FE gifts today between meetings & not making very much progress! It has been a busy day at work ...30 days! I can't believe we are there...this is the point I booked our first cruise and I had no time to do any research.

Can't wait to pick up DD and do our x more days song we have made up together!

We split an FE into 2 groups that was about 22 cabins for each group. I'm pretty sure there is not another FE list started. I know another family joined and some of us offered to include them in our FE exchange.
