I've never received any emails from the IPO giving me any survey, etc.. I did call them at the 180 day point to reserve the Sunrise Safari, did get that, woohoo!

This will be our first CL stay in WDW.

If you didn't reserve directly with Disney, the IPO won't email you. You have to initiate contact by sending them an email.

Hi! Just got a question about how do you plan with IPO when your 180 days is aproaching to do lunch or dinner reservationd, but the park hours are not published yet? Just wondering how do you make plans for reservations with the park that you will visit on any given day? Any suggestions?

I would just send them a email. We are staying CL at the Poly for the first time in September. IPO made all my reservations for us. It was wonderfulpixiedust: We got everything that we wanted and at the time we asked for(except for one, it was 5 mins later) Check easywdw. Josh should have the October hours posted there for you. I used that for ours and it helped out great.

I love to make our ADR, but I will say with all the problems with the new site I did not want to chance it. At 7 a.m. on 180 day I got a email with all of our conf. numbers. Could not be any easier than that.

Contact them so the can send you the sheet you need to fill out ASAP and let them make your ADR, you wont be sorry. :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful trip!

I just glanced at the Swan and Dolphin website today but it mentioned something about a club level. Is that correct? If so - has anyone stayed there?

And even if you do reserve with Disney, you may need to initiate the contact (at least that's been my experience 90% of the time).

Yay for getting the Sunrise Safari! My family has taken that one several times and we get something new out of it each time! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do... AKL CL is really nice -- I love their lounge area. :cloud9:

Swan and Dolphin used to have CL but I think it's no longer available. Someone might correct me if they have recent info.

Has anybody used the IPO to book the Wishes Dessert Party? I'd like to do this on our trip this September, but it looks like they only open it up a few months out. Will the IPO note this, and then book it on the day when it opens?

Yes, I have. They booked it as soon as it was available. It was really nice not to have to worry about the dates. :goodvibes Can't remember which IPO office we used for that one (generally we do split-stays so it gets hard to keep track of things), but they have all been good. Booking special things like the dessert party, safaris, special cruises, and the surfing lessons at TL is something that the IPO is really good at doing (and it makes it so much easier for me).

I did, and to tell you the truth, it was a mess. Overall, we've been very, very pleased with the IPO at AKL, but they kind of messed this up.

I had requested a dessert party for our mid-April trip (next week - yay!) when I filled out the IPO email questionnaire in January or so, and reiterated my request when I spoke to IPO on the phone the next day to give them my credit card number, which they needed for some of the reservations. I gave them one specific date for when we could go. The CM on the phone (Don, who's wonderful) said the IPO checks every morning to see if the dessert party has opened up, and they would take care of it.

Fast forward to March 1, which is when the April dessert parties opened. I only knew they were open because I read it on the Disboards. ;) I didn't see any reservation in my online info and hadn't gotten a new itinerary from IPO with the party listed, so I emailed them mid-afternoon to ask if they had made my reservation. I also checked the date I wanted online, and saw that there were still reservations available that day; I couldn't reserve it myself, though, because the disney website was having issues, and I also didn't want to double-book because I thought IPO was doing it.

Anyway, an hour later I received an email from IPO saying my requested date was sold out so they had reserved a different date for me and charged my credit card. I had never given them an alternate date nor authorization to charge my card for a different date, so I was pretty annoyed, especially because there had been openings when I checked. I checked again, and sure enough, still reservations available for my date.

So, another email to them, saying there's a 9:05 reservation on my requested date, I can't make the reservation myself because the Disney website is messed up, so please make it for me and cancel the other one. Which they then did, and all was right with the world. ;) However, it took me checking the disboards, two emails to IPO, and a credit card charge for a date I didn't authorize, before we got the right reservation.

I understand that if the IPO couldn't get the date I wanted, they were in a no-win situation, as some people would have wanted them to choose a different date and charge it, and some would not have wanted them to proceed. So, I don't necessarily fault them for picking a different date; I just don't like my card being charged for something I didn't want.

In the end, would I use them again to reserve the dessert party? Yes. But, I would make sure to 1) give them alternate dates, or tell them not to choose alternate dates if there's only one day you can make it; and 2) if you have a general idea of when the party will be opening for reservations, like on the first day of the month before, drop them an email the day before to remind them. (So if you want to book a Sept party, it will likely open Aug 1, so email them July 31.)

Sorry about writing a novel. :) I just want to make sure you get the dessert party you want!

IPO made our reservation for our 4/24 reservation! I had no issues. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the experiences! I sent the e-mail this morning and gave the IPO two possibilities and let them know these were the only options. Hopefully we'll be able to get one of the nights. I will just have to trust the IPO, because I know they would probably do a better job than I would. It is so hectic around here during the summer with work, swimming, day camp, etc., that I know I'd miss the boat.

Can't decide if I should do online checkin or not. Staying BC CL in June and I really need a rollaway bed. I'm traveling with my two 15 year old nephews who don't want to share a bed. We're staying in a 1 bedroom suite that has 1 king and 1 daybed. Does anyone know if there is rollaway bed option with the online checkin? I've already requested it with the cm when I made the reservation and I e-mailed the IPO.

I wouldn't do online check-in unless instructed to do so by the IPO (they instructed me to, which I thought was weird). I have not seen a rollaway bed option in online check-in but as long as the IPO has it noted in your reservation, I wouldn't really worry about putting it anywhere else. We requested a full sized crib with the IPO and couldn't put that request in online check-in. Now I just cross my fingers and hope it happens because if not, I have a 22 month old that won't be sleeping during our 5 night stay.

Thanks iheartjuppy and good luck with your full sized crib request. I hope it works out for you.

Hi. Not sure if this has been asked before but how do you prefer to send back the IPO request forms? I was going to fax them back because I had to make a lot more copies of the dining reservation sheet as they didn't have enough copies in there for the amount of reservations I need. Anyway has anyone faxed back the forms and been fine? Thanks!

I fill them out in Word, then e-mail them back.
