Des anyone happen to know the brand and paint color of the BWI lobby? I know it is a seafoam green it I am looking for more exact info. ;)

I suggest you send an e-mail to Disney World using their "contact us" link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/contact/

I have sent in a few off the wall (not literally on the wall, like you) questions to them over the years and when they can answer they do. I asked about the brand and style of mattress at CSR and brand of fertilizer at another of the resorts. They were very helpful. I'm sure that there are plans somewhere with the wall color noted, but it might be proprietary to WDW and they won't give it out. Good luck in your hunt.

Or, they don't want to give out the color because they want us to pay $ to return and experience it there.

Hi all - We're going to be staying at the BWV for the first time over the last week of May, and I have some questions regarding getting to DHS early in the morning. We'd like to get there a bit earlier than rope drop (as most websites including this one suggest doing to get in as much action as possible before the crowds arrive). I see according to certain websites that the boats start running half an hour before the park opens. So here are my questions:

1A) Is the information I've found accurate? Do the boats start running half an hour prior to park opening?
1B) Would those boats get us to the park before rope drop, or would the loading times get us there just after the park opens?
2) Are the first boats in the morning really crowded?
3) Would you suggest just walking instead? Note that we're not opposed to walking, but we do know we'll be doing a lot of walking over the course of the week and might be more inclined to take the boat unless it's going to make a big difference.

Thanks! :wave2:

We were at BWI last month and there was a lift for the BWI quiet pool and the spa at that area. I did not see anyone use them, but i noticed them and they looked to be in great shape. The feature pool was just refurbished -- completed when we were there. It was warm enough to swim only one day for me, so I didn't use the feature pool. I have to believe they've installed a lift for disabled guests if one wasn't there before. I'm going to look for some photos. Also, my daughter and I will be at BWI in August and I will look then if I don't find an answer before. I note that you're interested in BWV, and will check that side.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Thank you! I really appreciate the information.

Best,

Autumn

No apologies on this thread, autumnblue:). Last year at WL, I watched them install a new lift at the main pool. This is only an assumption, but I assumed that the resorts were all making sure they were compliant, but I can't answer your specific question about BWI/BWV, but I would think they, too are now compliant.

ETA: I fixed your ticker for you:

I would call back. It appears you were given bad information.

Boats certainly start running at least 30 minutes prior to park opening, and the early boats to DHS from the BW aren't usually crowded but bear in mind that they go first to the Yacht & Beach Club, then the Swan & Dolphin, and then DHS so it will take a solid 20+ minutes whereas you can walk in 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. We always walk for that reason.

For the return, the boats departing DHS reverse the journey so they stop first at S&D, then Y&B, then the BW, so you can take the boat to S&D and then walk over the bridge to the BW rather than stay on the boat for an extra 10-15 minutes as it travels to Y&B and then back to BW.

Are the jugglers, entertainers, etc. on the Boardwalk there nightly or only there on specific days? I thought it would be a fun way to spend part of the evening but we will only be staying at the Boardwalk from Sunday to Wednesday before switching resorts.

I'm pretty sure they're there every day, with maybe a "weather permitting" clause since they are outdoors. Some of them are so-so, but some of them are REALLY good. Enjoy!

We saw them every night. When the weather was not so good they moved them indoors at the BWI. Some of them were excellent and very enjoyable to watch.

I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you both! :goodvibes

It's EYEtalian! Nice to have you back, but aren't you leaving us again:confused3

Not leaving quite yet, another 11 days til BWV yahoo! I'm so excited to stay here, its been on my Wish List for years. This thread has really helped me plan out my trip! I wish I would have been MIA for WDW, family drama, work & a head injury ruled my weekend - argh! I was so busy I didn't even think of Disney once. Ok maybe once....or twice...:thumbsup2

Oh, no! Are you okay? Family drama is no fun, but neither is a head injury - very serious stuff and I hope life gets back to normal very soon:hug:

UGH! You're 100 posts ahead!

How did I get that far ahead when I wasn't even on for 3 or 4 days?!?!?! I did go run & play a bunch of games to catch up - that must have done it!

I'm fine, it was DS15. He got slammed into the mat during a wrestling match & couldn't remember a thing. He was confused & dizzy & kept repeating himself constantly so they rushed him home from an hour away to the ER. He still can't remember about 90 min from Sunday, scary!

Ahhhh Boardwalk how I dream of thee.....
