WDWKOOK can I ask you another question about the valet parking if you don't mind? Do they charge you a daily rate if you don't take your car again for a few days, say I left the car with them on a Monday and did HS on a Tuesday and Epcot on a Wednesday and then used the car again on a Thursday would we be paying for just the Monday or the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday?

You're welcome:)

My limited understanding is that the $15 is a daily charge whether you drive the vehicle or not because, presumably, your car will be occupying precious valet parking lot space, hence the daily charge. What you won't incur is any daily tipping since you'd just be 'storing' your car. Also, you only pay the daily fee once, so if you do decide to take your vehicle out multiple times or to a different resort, you will only be charged the fee once per day.

Valet Parking is offered at all of the Disney Deluxe Resorts. There is a $15.00 daily fee ($16.88 with tax) for using this service. Valet parking is not free for DVC members.

It used to be. Sadly, that is one privilege we lost.

I apologize is this has been covered already...Do any of the pools at the resort have lifts for people with disabilities?

I usually stay at the Dolphin but I have always wanted to stay in Boardwalk Villas. Thinking about treating myself for my 40th birthday in 2014.

Best,

Autumn

I don't believe I have ever seen a pool lift. AKV has zero entry. I also believe the GF has zero entry. Maybe SSR and BCV. I do believe I may have seen a lift at one of the DVC for the out door hot tub.

I would think it would be required under the ADA unless the pool is zero entry, but I really do not know..

ask over on the Disabilities board. they are really nice over there (esp. the moderator, Sue M., oh, and K peveler)

Best,

Autumn

We were at BWI last month and there was a lift for the BWI quiet pool and the spa at that area. I did not see anyone use them, but i noticed them and they looked to be in great shape. The feature pool was just refurbished -- completed when we were there. It was warm enough to swim only one day for me, so I didn't use the feature pool. I have to believe they've installed a lift for disabled guests if one wasn't there before. I'm going to look for some photos. Also, my daughter and I will be at BWI in August and I will look then if I don't find an answer before. I note that you're interested in BWV, and will check that side.

No apologies on this thread, autumnblue:). Last year at WL, I watched them install a new lift at the main pool. This is only an assumption, but I assumed that the resorts were all making sure they were compliant, but I can't answer your specific question about BWI/BWV, but I would think they, too are now compliant.

ETA: I fixed your ticker for you:

Here is your ticker address:

Just copy and paste this into the yellow postcard icon in your tool bar above (after you hit 'reply') or just add

That's very helpful of you, Sandi:goodvibes

I know I read this somewhere on this thread a month or so ago, but now I can't find it. Sorry about that.

For a standard room, where do we want to request the room to be for best view and quickest access out?

I'm thinking it was facing EPCOT, high up, but I'd like verification or correction on that. Thanks!

We arrive 2 weeks from today!:cool1:

If our room is not ready, will they CL staff hold our carry-on in the lounge for us?

thanks!

Bell services will store your carry on or luggage. The club level really doesn't have the room to store anything :) Have a great stay !

Des anyone happen to know the brand and paint color of the BWI lobby? I know it is a seafoam green it I am looking for more exact info. ;)

One of many, and many perks, too are gone - like unlimited use of non-motorized recreational equipment when staying onsite - those were the good ol' days.

Thanks for the reply :thumbsup2
You're welcome.

We were just there last week and both the quiet pool and main pool have lifts.
Thank you for confirming this for the OP, Pete.

"Best" is relative, but for a STD room, I would request an Epcot/Garden View on a high floor, preferably 5th so there wouldn't be anyone above.

If you hadn't moved us up on the WL thread from page two, I might be giving you one of these :sad2::rotfl:. I will be so impressed if someone can answer this::yes:: - maybe a CM:scratchin

I don't know what it is, but Walmart is now selling Disney paint. Could be they have one that is the same? :confused3
