***Official November 2013***

Well, I ended up booking our plane tickets! Instead of using the airport that is 45 minutes away I booked out of another airport that is an hour and 45 minutes away. Less convenient for sure but the price was much better at the other airport. Anyway, just so glad that is over and done with! Now I have to keep myself from stalking the Jet Blue site to see if the prices have gone down.....especially at the airport close to where we live, lol!........Next up, waiting for the November hours so I can finalize the ADR's! I already have all of the restaurants picked out, just not sure which parks we will be in which days yet.

Speaking of ADR's.....where is everyone planning on eating?? I love to see other peoples plans!

We have 7 dinners and 1 breakfast planned for TS: Coral Reef, San Angel Inn, O'hana, Sanaa, Prime Time, Be our Guest, T-Rex??, and Breakfast b4 the park opens at Crystal Palace.~These are the choices if we go w/the dining plan or get it free.
Only about a month away from ADR's!!!

My Bella is a Golden Retriever basic daily was $43 then I add on night time treat plus extra playtime each day, it adds up fast.

We are doubly lucky (and also not) in that our in-laws live just a few minutes from us, so they watch our two cats too. But in the past, before we moved here, we just hired a pet sitter to come twice a day. For cats, it's usually not very expensive! Like $15/day for two visits, including cleaning the litter box. I was amazed! Try Googling for one in your area, and set up a pre-visit so you can get to know them and make sure you are comfortable with them in your home.

I will do that....thanks!!! Problem is, I live in very rural South Jersey (not a lot around here...think all farmland). But I will definitely check pet sitters out.

Golden retrievers rock!!! Although we rescued our black lab, I raised Goldens my whole childhood and into the first few years of my marriage.

For our ADRs: we're planning on Coral Reef on Friday, Nov 1st; Tusker House for lunch on Monday; and I want to each at O'hanas. We'll probably try and do that one Tuesday night. And then maybe watch the fireworks from the beach. :)

Gotcha on the first post. AKV is another villa I'd like to try one day (I upgraded to OKW for this trip). *sigh*....maybe one day.

You will love it. I usually do Kidani but this time I'm trying Jambo. Want to waitlist for BCV or BWV. I"m waitlisted for BLT

Awesome, I will go check it out today, but I trust josh a little more.

Do you know what the crowds for the week of November 10 thru the 17 are going to be like? I am starting to get nervous that it might be crowded but this is the only week my DH can get off work and us be able to see the Christmas decorations.

Go check easywdw.com and look at the same time last year to get an idea. I will check touring plans and last years easywdw when I get back to my laptop in a few and poat

Looking at both easywdw & touringplans - as long as you do rope drop to hit the headliners, you should be fine.

Also, the numbers don't mean a THING for some headliners - TSM is a good example. It doesn't matter if it is a 1 level day or 10 level day - if you don't at least get a FP before lunch you are not going to ride it without a very long line.

RELAX - your going to Disney

Thank you for the info it really helps. Looks like just our first two days are going to be really crowded. Oh well we will just go with the flow and hope for the best.

I have thought about a pet sitter in the past to come in for our cat but I was too nervous about basically giving a stranger a key to our house. You didn't have any trouble? We really don't have any family close by to pet sit so I'm thinking this might be better than taking her to a kennel, where I know she will be FREAKED OUT

Wow. That bites. We board for approx 10 days+ we take our dog the night before we leave due to us leaving early to drive down then we can't pick her up til Monday after we return. They are only open til noon on Saturday and are closed for pickups on Sunday. It costs us around 180 dollars for a inside area. They walk them and play with them and bathe and groom. Even clip nails for free if stay a wk. plus they offer stay 10 night get one free the next night whenever it is. Now granted we have a chihuahua who's only 6 pounds.

The PPs cost sounds like what's typical around here, too. Includes doggy daycare so they are playing with other dogs all day instead of cooped up in a crate. Our dogs love it! and come home exhausted. :)

Super excited about our first trip to wdw! My DH, DD6 and I plan to fly out from Seattle on the morning after Thanksgiving and will stay 7 nights at WL, leaving early Friday morning the 6th to drive to Miami for a weekend Bahamas cruise (on NCL - we had a deposit made on our last cruise 3 years ago that we needed to use, but hope to book Disney for next time!). So we'll have 6 solid days in the parks and an evening when we arrive - looking forward to advice from all of you experienced World travelers on how to best use our time!

I perused previous posts and it looks like there's a fb group, but apparently I need to make 10 posts before I can message my information, so I'll ask a few questions to up my post count! ;)

First, haven't booked flight yet (I'm hoping it comes down from $525/person (!), however it is the only direct from our area, so that will be the flight we take), but it supposedly arrives at 5:15pm. If we're taking magical express, what time would we expect to arrive at WL? Anyone have an inkling of how long checkin might take at that time? Trying to figure out what our evening will look like... Hoping we can head to DTD to get autograph book and ears for our 6 year old daughter and find something quick to eat for dinner - don't want to even try to make reservations somewhere in case we're delayed.

My next question is about when schedules come out. We arrive on 11/29 and it looks like the November park schedules should come out in early May, but since our trip spans into December and our 180+10 date is June 2, I'm nervous that the December schedule won't be out yet when I try to make my ADRs! I know I'm over thinking this and my DH doesn't quite understand why I get so wrapped up in planning out details so far in advance, so I hope you all can reassure me or give tips about how to deal with the situation?

Since we'll be solidly on west coast time for the first few days and our daughter is not generally an early riser, I doubt we'll be able to get to parks early the first few days, but we will probably be able to capitalize on staying later than we might normally with a 6yo. Hoping that we can work in some of the shows/fireworks the first few days to make use of the later nights. Any tips on how to make the most of our time when we can't get to the parks early?

Alright, last question before I head to bed - I promise! ;)

We have a couple ADRs that we really want to make happen - CRT plus CM and/or CP. I'm wondering if you think we might have any luck getting some of those the first weekend we're there? I'm thinking since the parks will be more busy, it would be nice to get some of our must do experiences done so we can be more carefree and not tied to specific dining times during the remainder of our time when it won't be as busy. But since it is the end of many guests trips but only the beginning of ours, will we have a hard time getting reservations?

Thanks for your input and reading through my multiple posts!

Just changed my dates again. This time to 11/13 to 11/22. Did it for airfare. Saved over $1500!!! $200 per person round trip. Newark to MCO. Little inconvenient but I'll take it for the savings.

Congrats on the savings and it looks to be one of the lowest weeks for crowds so double bonus!:cheer2:

I'm also a West Coaster, and we did the same dates as you last year, and also have a 6 year old (he'll be 7 for this upcoming trip). The kids had no trouble adjusting to Florida time, were up at the crack of dawn. Adults, a little more but we were super excited and just headed out with our coffee to-go cups from the room. So my best advice would be to pick your parks carefully and have a touring plan of which rides you want to hit first. We walked into Frontierland at 10a one morning in MK when the park opened at 9a, and I have pictures of how empty it was it looked like a ghost town and we walked onto rides until noon, because everybody was in Futureland.
Because we were staying at BLT, we generally were able to do one park in the morning, then took a pool/nap break around 3 or 4 til 6ish or 7, then headed into a different park for the evening (sometimes we ate dinner in the park, sometimes we had pizza in the room to cut costs), often one with EMH. Those naps/pool time helped him last til after the parades (Electrical Light Parade was big for us) and/or fireworks/evening shows. In our party we had a 4, 6, and 7 year old, and we were always carrying the 4 year old home but the 6 and 7 year old only sometimes took naps, always had a bit of pool time, and usually made it til the end of the night no problem to our surprise (we also used strollers in-park in the evenings just so we could move faster, and it cut down on the whining a lot ... too much trouble during the day when it was a little more crowded).
My next question is about when schedules come out. They released the December schedule last year with a little over a week to spare before our 180 day mark ... it was annoying, but it worked.
