Okay, I deal with the same weather living on the Gulf Coast of Tx. 2 things are wonderful for humidity/shine.
1. Generic brand milk of magnesia. You laugh but a professional makeup artist taught me this. Take cotton ball and put a light layer of the liquid on your face - if anything turns white you have used too much. Apply your makeup over it once it dries. I do this in the dead of Summer went temps reach up to 110 degrees.
2. Urban decay de-slick. This is a great product, but expensive at $30. This works great year round. You spray the mist over your moisterizer, apply your makeup, the re-apply.
Hi makeup lovers. I haven't come across a similar thread but thought it would be fun/helpful to share products we are planning to bring at Disney.
GIRL. I was literally wondering this same thing yesterday but didn't know how to go about posting
- Moisturizer + Sunscreen: I've been using the Walmart brand of a simple moisturizer for years and it's great! I also have a sunblock and face stick (Banana Boat I think)
- Primer - NARS, the oil free one
- Foundation: Maybelline Dream Fress BB Cream (has SPF 30)
- Highlighter cream: ELF
- Blush: NARS in Sex Appeal
- Mascara: Maybelline Full & Soft waterproof
- Eyeliner: I just use my eyeshadow and a smudge brush to line my lash line
- Eyeshadow primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Naked Basics palette
- Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind
- Lips: Fresh Sugar (a tinted one, it has SPF in it, can't remember how much).
- Oil absorbing sheets
I don't wear a ton of makeup whether I'm at home or on vacation, so my routine stays the same at WDW:
--Aveeno positively ageless moisturizer with SPF (Or sometimes I use CG Smoothers tinted moisturizer or Dr. Jart BB cream. Regardless, it's gotta have sun protection!)
--MAC sheer select pressed powder
--Urban Decay primer potion in Sin (I love a little sparkle.) Sometimes I put eyeshadow on top, sometimes not.
--NYX eyeliner
--Cover Girl lash blast fusion mascara
--Nars Orgasm blush
--Revlon lip butter, smashbox O-gloss, Burt's Bees lip shimmer or good ol' ChapStick (I'm a bit obsessed with lip products; these are just a few of my favorites lately.)
I just recently jumped on the Revlon lip butter train and they are amazing! I am definitely going to try a few out for my May trip.
I love that Fresh Sugar lip balm. I have the birthday gift from last year and I totally want another one though they really are $$$.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a wave/curl spray? I have wavy hair, but as it's gotten longer, it doesn't look as nice when I let it air dry. Looking for a product that's light and in spray form that won't leave my hair crunchy. I just bought Got2B Beach Trippin Salt Infusion Waving Spray today, but I'm not impressed with it so far on dry hair (it says it can be used on dry hair). Going to try it with damp hair later/tomorrow, so if it's not great I'm gonna return it.
I would not leave the house without my makeup. I want to look my best and of course at WDW I want my pictures to look good!
I just pinned the Urban Decay All Night Spray to my Handy for Travel board so I can remember it.
What does everyone use to remove this type of long lasting/waterproof make up at bedtime? Anything special needed?
At Disneyland I use the Aveeno Positively Ageless moisterizer with sunscreen and I never got sunburned, it didn't make me break out, and didn't make me oily. Love that stuff!
My mom and I swear by Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray. It smells awesome (like a pina colada) and doesn't make your hair all crunchy or gross. I have weird combination hair (the back of my hair is wavy and the front is straight, so annoying) so I often sleep in braids to make it all even, and the spray is awesome for keeping it nice all day. My mom on the other hand has the waviest of wavy hair, and she's tried every spray available, and this is the only one she has ever stuck with.
