Western. And sitting at the airport to go home.

Great time. Weather wasn't beautiful
Everyday. Didn't get to castaway until 2:30 and had to leave at 5:30.

Any questions?

Do you have any information about the 4 year old boy that almost drown before leaving port? We've been following it all week here, but we haven't heard details about how he got in the pool. Hope you had a great cruise. The Fantasy is amazing.

Was it bad weather and that's why late to Castaway? We're doing same western in sept. how did you like it?

We couldn't dock due to winds. It was also overcast and cold. About 12:30 they told us they would try castaway cay again around 2:00. We got off boat around 2:30. They started blowing the horns and cleaning up the beach at 5:00. Lines were long to get back on ship. Took us about 25 minutes to get from beach to inside the ship.

What kind of room did you have? And was it worth the money? :):)

We had 11b- 7033 inside magical porthole. We arrived early enough and there were a few upgrades left. We could have had a cat 5 for 910.00 more- which was a good deal but we didn't want to spend 1000 without stepping foot on the cruise

We have cruise 2xs before on Disney but only w a balcony. We did miss it a little, but not 1000 worth. :)

Thanks miz diz!

We got off at 2:45 and headed back at 4:45. It was not a picture perfect day, but we appreciate them trying so hard and actually making it.

I have no information except we have been praying for him all week.

We found it odd that we saw police just before the sail away party on deck. Then the sail away was moved inside. I heard a few calls for people to report to deck 1 just before. I knew the dr was there so I just didn't think that was good. I am guessing all of this was related.

I did not learn about the little boy until Tuesday from an email from my mom.

First, I accidentally reported your post. I'm sure they will keep it since there is nothing wrong with it. I am still getting used to disboards on my iPhone.

Love the western. This is our second time doing it. 7 mile beach is wonderful in cayman. I love costa maya. Not very developed yet an just beautiful. Lastly, Cozumel has a ton to do. And a margarittaville.

We are sailing in July on this cruise and will be booking excursions soon. Any recommendations based on what you did and what you heard from others?

Grand cayman- royal palms on our own. Loved the beach and sand. 2.00 to enter, 5.00 per chair, 10.00 for umbrellas and food and drinks $$$$$! I'm not sure in would do this exact same plan again. I would go to 7 mile beach, but maybe the Disney excursion. Sting rays are great if you are not scared like I am. And everyone raved about the turtle farm.

Costa maya- tropicante on our own. Much different. Chairs and umbrellas free and food and drink cheap. Beach was a bit busy with ppl trying to see their goods. Great food. Great beachfront. Very good value.

And now it's time to board.... To be continued.

Thanks for sharing about the ports. Did you have not so great weather for the whole cruise? We are doing the Western in May and were thinking Royal Palms, Tropicante and maybe Paradise at Cozumel on our own. Did you have any trouble getting taxis to and from. Hearing others experiences is so helpful.

I booked an 11B GTY on the Fantasy for this October. I am a little apprehensive going to a bigger ship as our only experience was the Magic which seemed to be the perfect size for our family.

How was the magical porthole? Do you have children? Did they really get into it? What do you see at night through the magic porthole?

If you close the privacy curtain can you swing the TV behind the curtain so you can watch from bed? Our kids will go to be before us (sleeping on sofa and pull down) so I'm hoping to be able to watch tv.

How full was your sailing? Our TA just told me our ship is almost at capacity. :( Did you have a hard time getting seats at the pool? What about the shows at night? I've read here that you need to be there about an hour in advance if you want to sit with your family.

Thank you for your insight. :)

They didn't open the theaters until 30 min before the show. We got there 20-30 minutes before show times.

I was on the Fantasy Western in February. Loved every second of the trip, even though we also had bad weather. We weren't able to go to Grand Cayman at all, even though Captain Marco tried valiantly to get us there; he even sailed to the other side of the island, hoping it would be less windy/choppy. I bet you won't have the same trouble in July, though!

We did the Dolphin swim at Dolphinaris in Cozumel. The facility was gorgeous and we all had a wonderful time (there were 3 kids (7 & 9) and 4 adults in our group. I totally recommend it, but be prepared in advance for expensive pics they sell at the end!

We are on the Fantasy Eastern, sailing June 1st. Our DIS group is looking for a place to have a meet and greet just before the muster drill. Can you recommend a place that we could hang out for about 30 minutes?
Were thinking perhaps D Lounge.... :confused3

If you want to be inside, the Vista Lounge on Deck 4 is a nice place to meet.

Sometimes the D Lounge is not open if an event is not scheduled.

We are heading out in a couple weeks on the Fantasy Western. Do you remember what movies they were showing in the theatre?
