Disney gift cards at Target

I am pretty sure it is the phone number on the back of the card. Not sure if the ones you buy at Target are reloadable but the ones you can order from the online store....are.

not only was I able to do it, but the cashier even told me I could before she rang it up. I took one card up to purchase it and told her I wanted to see if the discount would come off...she said...don't worry, it will. I purchased $3100 in GC in my first visit and $1400 in my second visit and saved almost $450 on my trip. Not only is it awesome to have been able to save on the Disney portion, but on my airfare as well was extra cool.

We did this for our last tip and worked just fine. I was wondering if anyone has tried to take the cards to a Disney Store and see if they would put them all one one or two cards to take for room charges instead of taking 50 cards?

I was told last week at a Disney Store that they will not do it. Sounds like the system will not allow it from her explaination.

I didn't see any responses but have any of you stacked the pharmacy reward cards? Now that they have the April special we will probably get 1-2 cards just for April.

My husband works for Target and he said he didn't think you would be able to stack them in the same transaction but all I can say is give it a shot...

Yes, they do stack. I've done this many times. They ring all items, then scan the pharmacy reward paper, then slide your red card. It takes off 5%, then an additional 5%. So, it's not a true 10%, more like 9.5%, but so worth it. I haven't tried to stack more than one pharmacy reward in a transaction because I have used them before the next one arrived! I just got one yesterday, but expect that I'll get at least 2 with the April double rewards. I'll have to ask when I'm there.

I do not think that you can use more than one RX reward card at a time,. If I recall correctly there is wording on the card that says you can only use one discount per transaction with the exception of your red card discount.

That is what I was thinking but was wishing for the other :)

I had to give 18 GC's when I paid for the meal plan the other day. Was hoping I could combine them too to make things easier. But the CM didn't seem to mind.

The cm was very nice about the 60 cards I read to her...especially when I told her how much I was saving on the trip. I tried to have everything ready to expedite as much as possible.

I have stacked them numerous times over the last 3 months. I have bought over $3500 in $50 gift cards at with 5% for pharmacy and 5% for red card (as previous posters have mentioned it is actually just under 10% when stacking) I have bought $500 to $1200 in a single transaction, without problem. Great savings!

One thing I would like to mention, while I have never had any problems paying my resort on the phone, I and others have had no luck buying tickets over the phone. While I have been assured that you can use the gift cards at guest services, I have yet to do that, but plan on trying:)

I bought some gift cards from Sam's club, Now I have to wonder how much they were? i know it was like $48 or something for $50 worth. 5% off of $50 is 2.50? I might have to go to sam's and get some more and then to target and get some too. I have $300 saved up already. edited to add I guess sam's isn't as cheap as 5% off with the $25 at 24.88 and $50 @ 48 and change or something like that. not much of a savings but I guess in the end every little bit adds up.

many of us are using 2 discounts at Target (pharmacy rewards and red card discount). Works out to about 9.75% savings :). Saved me around $485 total on my vacation including airfare, tickets, hotel, food, photo pass and whatever other junk we buy at the parks!

How do you get the pharmacy rewards?

by filling prescriptions at Target. For every 5 prescriptions you fill you get a 1 day 5% off shopping spree coupon. Right now they are doing double rewards so you get 2 credits for every prescription...i think it's for the whole month of April.

I'm feeling kind of sad that I don't have any prescriptions! How long does is take to get the debt card? The cashier tried to get me to open one a few weeks ago but it seemed like too much of a hassle.

It is quick to set up the debit red card but do it asap and use it as much as possible as they will start you with a low spending limit of $300 until your spending habits eventually raise the limit, which they will never disclose to you. If at all possible, get the visa instead, then you'll know your limit for sure.

I had no idea about the 5% savings with my Target red card on the Disney cards. I tried it today and "VOILA"! I don't use Target for my prescriptions but I may have to consider that one. Thanks to all for the tip. You have saved me some money and I appreciate it.
