***the official may 2013 thread***

We'll be there in May!! I am so excited. This will be the first time for all of us. It's Me (30) DH (34), DS (5), DD (3). The kids have no idea. We aren't telling them anything until we pull up at the airport.

Omg they will be so excited! Have the best time! Pixie dust....

My boyfriend and I have planned out first Disney trip in our adulthood! Neither of us have been since we were very little, but this year we are 23 and 24 year olds with no children and thought Disney World would be a perfect trip for us. I may have pouted a little bit to convince him :) Nonetheless we will be staying at the BC May 18-23 celebrating our two year (dating, not married!) anniversary!I believe we are there on the last day of the flower and garden festival, what should we look for? We couldn't be more excited!!

My wife and I honeymooned @ disney last feb (also young adults, no kids), she had never been and niether had I (once as a kid I can't really remember) ... we both fell in love with disney. Returning in May and already planning a Bounce back.

You should change your BC res to a Moderate and stay for 10 days instead of 5 for the same price !!! :)

I am sure you will have an awesome trip !

Wish we could! Unfortunately we don't have that many vacations days to spend...

Next time! ;-)

What are the benefits of online check in?
The bf and I have one res, and my mom and sis have another, but noth booked at POP. If we do online check in, can we get rooms together?

Last year my family stayed at Coronado Springs with three separate rooms; I did online check in for all three rooms & when we arrived we were assigned three rooms in a row. We booked all three rooms on one package deal with a travel agent so this might have helped. I do believe you can call the reservation centre & have the bookings linked which I believe will increase the chances of obtaining an adjoining room.

The benefits of online check in are supposedly quicker check in but with more people doing online check in now it would seem that queues can be just as long. If you do not get together doing online check in, when you arrive you can request new rooms at check in.

Personally, I stay away from the online check in. The two times we did do it we got awful room locations even after making room requests. I fully realize that Disney cannot guarantee where our rooms are. However, we requested at POFQ to be close to the main building and ended up at the far end of building 7. We were likely closer to the main building at POR than POFQ but still VERY far from both. This was in September and you can't tell me that there wasn't anything closer than that. Since we did online check-in we were told that they weren't able to change our room. This didn't make much sense to me but I just rolled with the punches and didn't want to cause any issues.

Woohoo! Just 39 days to go. Online check in done and ready to go. Only the dessert party left to book.

Can't wait to get away from the snowy British "spring" weather and see some sun!!

I paid the balance the other day - so I'm good to go!

I did the online check-in as well. Being an able bodied person with no kids, I DO NOT request to be close to transportation or on the first floor - I let those who need it more than me get those rooms. Besides, I tend to like the rooms FARTHER away from the pool and main areas... they're much quieter. And being on an upper floor seems to work great for me in terms of outside human traffic and noise.

I'm staying in Pop, and I decided to request the 80's this time. (Stayed in 50's and 70's previously.)

This is another short 3 day solo trip, but I have SO MUCH planned! I'm so excited... again! I was at WDW 4 times in 2012 (I still can't believe I was so fortunate!) but I'm as excited as if I hadn't been there for years.

We're almost there, fellow May travellers!!

Douglas Addams said that '42' is the answer to everything... it's also the number of days until I am at WDW.... coincidence? I don't think so.

:jumping1:

Hello! I just booked my WDW trip for May/June. I found a conference to go to there and am adding on a few park days!

I will be there 5/24-6/3 doing a split split split stay at POP (2nights), POR (3 nights), SWAN (4 nights for convention) and ASSp for the last night for ME.

I will be going solo so if anyone else is or is game for meeting up let me know! I was part of an October group in the fall and met a few people I had been chatting with. As this is far closer in planning (started planning the Oct trip 11 months out) I won't get a chance to know as many people before hand but am interested if anyone else is.

:cool1: 3,411,357 seconds left! :cool1:

I figure we'll get Mickey Mail in a week or so!!

Last of my 50"s Dancing
:woohoo::dance3::dancer::dance3::woohoo:
And this week end I can start my 40's dancing!

Just got my Magical Express package!! It always seems more real that I am actually going back to WDW when I get Mickey Mail :cool1:
