Anyone figure out how to make that time machine yet? We're set to get another 10 cm of snow over the next few days, and I'm dreaming of Florida!

On a happy note, DH is changing positions at work and has a bunch of offers from other companies on the table right now, and any of them should mean a very substantial raise, so that means more Disney trips in the future! :lmao:

How about a question of the day...........

For those that have been before, what is your hands-down favorite restaurant or favorite dish? For those that haven't, what ADR are you looking forward to the most?

Mine is a tie between Ohana and the filet with mushroom risotto at Le Cellier!

Ok, that's a tough one! I have a few:

Tonga Toast at Kona

Cheddar Cheese soup at Le Cellier

a hot dog from Caseys (mind you it's probably the only time I ever eat hot dogs!)

Not sure what else...my favorite restaurants are:

Brown Derby
Flying Fish
California Grill

And can you believe we aren't eating at any of them?? We just want to try a few other places. I wish I could eat at Disney every night :lmao:

Oh, and congrats on the job promotion!!

I agree the California Grill is special. The waiter was exceptional and introduced me to my now favorite wine (Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc)
I just wish it was going to be open for this trip!

That's so funny - maybe we had the same waiter! He talked to us a bit and found out what we were ordering, then picked wines for both of us. We loved them, got the names and have bought them here at home - great way to remember our evening!

LOOOVE the cheddar cheese soup! Haven't tried Cali Grill, I was hoping we could on this trip since it's an adults-only trip but it'll have to wait for the next one! We do get to try Flying Fish though!

And thank you!

Only remember eating at Pecos Bills in '84, can't remember food from previous trips.

Looking forward to BOG for lunch and dinner. Everyone who's been reading this thread is familiar with my woeful story of how much I was looking forward to eating at Brown Derby. ( where 's the emoticon for Pity Party?)

Breakfast at 'Ohana :thumbsup2 .

The characters, the atmosphere, the food.......its a family favourite. We were just there on December 28th on our Christmas trip, and we're going again in August :cool1: .

My family really likes Cape May Cafe as there is something for everyone. I am most looking forward to trying Boma and Sanaa this trip.

My all-time favorite restaurant is California Grill! This August trip may be our first trip without a meal there! :scared: My favorite is the filet there. And the four cheese flatbread pizza! And the wine there is great too!

I'm really excited for all of our ADRs this trip because we are trying so many new places. Well, so long as we keep our Deluxe Dining Plan. But I honestly might be most excited for Cinderellla's Royal Table! It's not often I get princess meals with a house full of boys! :woohoo:

Sanaa is one of my favorites. A real hidden gem. Ask for a table by a window. The naan bread service is terrific! I always recommend this restaurant to people.

Thanks for the tips. I definitely want to try the bread service. It looks delicious!

Last year we went to the Biergarten for the first time and fell in love! We ended up going twice last trip!

Well, we're suckers for 50's Prime Time and The Rose and Crown...but only have R&C on our trip this time.

We're trying Biergarten and Saana (will ask for a window...the kids will LOVE it) this time, and will have breakfast at O'hana's as well!

I'm excited for all three!

My favorite restaurant? That's a tough one. I think that the decor, food and the way they deliver the food to you at BOG would rank at the top.

Eating in the Castle is very special as well. We did CRT for Thanksgiving last year and it was awesome. We also had done it for DD1's birthday on a previous trip.

Play and Dine is great for the kids at HS.

Can't really go wrong with Chef Mickey's with the kids too.

Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace all have good memories for us too.

I guess any character meal for me. :)

I have a question for my fellow August travelers. What shoes are you planning on wearing/bringing? Normally I have a pair of comfortable sneakers for the mass amounts of walking we do, but with it being so hot this time I figure we'll hit water parks and water rides so I'm not certain what to wear/bring. We're also flying so I don't want to pack 18 pairs of shoes per person.

I was thinking about sandals or perhaps some of the finger shoes, but I'm concerned about blisters with those. I may just have to try some over the summer and see what works.

I am a flip flops girl and have comfortably worn them during our past visits. However, I'm contemplating a pair of the Skechers GoWalk shoes. I might get a pair, try them out at home and then pack those and flip flops for the trip. The Skechers GoWalk shoes have great reviews and some even mention wearing them in the World! I figure it's worth a try!

Last year I went with my 3 favorite... montrail molokini recovery flips, vibram 5 fingers, and sketchers go walk. Highly recommend them all.:thumbsup2

I just wear my big old comfy running shoes (I think they are Adidas or New Balance). They are highly unstylish, but very functional. I always pack an extra pair of socks, in case of torrential downpours and I always bring a pair of cheap flip flops and I change into them for water rides.

I will wear my regular sneakers. I just bought a new pair of Merrill shoes. I'll probably buy a newer pair as the date gets closer though...maybe a month out.

Awesome! What style of the Skechers go walks do you have? I love getting others opinions!
