Definitely hope there is a pub crawl this time as last time we missed it as we were all at Champagne girls :)

Hopefully they won't clash this time :)

Lime green ... lovely bright and totally tropical !! With black lettering !!

oooooh I love lime green, count my vote for that one. The DIS lanyards are so much lighter than the DCL ones.

Plus I have also had orange ... from our first "Halloween" cruise :goodvibes

Did you not get them on all your other cruises Mary.

Nope only got those 2 Sarah :), didn't do DIS on our other cruises, just the long ones

you mean the type of wierd obsessive people who havent thrown anything away from any previous cruise, and spend all day on the dis? i have no idea who you mean..... :rolleyes1

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Lime green lanyards sound good to me. Dark purple with white lettering would be pretty cool, too.

And to continue my previous off-topic topic...

We just finished our second night of the "Monologues," and we had near-sellout crowds both nights! Really exciting, as this area tends to be pretty uptight about anything the least bit "edgy."

After my hideous performance in final dress the other night, I'm happy to report that I only missed half of a sentence last night, and was spot-on perfect tonight! :yay: And as my monologue is comedic (mostly) I was really happy when the audience laughed in all the right places, and got quiet in the serious bit. Nothing gives an actor a bigger thrill than an audience who "gets it." :cloud9:

Glad it went well for you Pat, forgot to say break a leg to you the other night :goodvibes

:welcome: Welcome to the party!!! :welcome:

It will be good to see you again!!

Thanks! Your family were the first 2010 WBTAers we met at the airport on the way to Barcelona. I have fond memories of the Champagne Girls in your suite--like a sardine can of fun :goodvibes

Andrea! I'm so pleased you and Greg will be aboard! I was thinking of emailing you yesterday to see if you could make it.....looking forward to sharing a drink or 2 with you again :) x

Mandy, it's a date for drinks in the Promenade Lounge! So looking forward to seeing you and Mark again.

Excellent news .... will be lovely to see you guys again :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks, Sarah!

Welcome aboard, I will add you to the roll call. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Cool, we will be on the WPBC with you too - so there will be someone else we already know when we board for the WBTA!:)

After a month together (WBPC and WBTA), we'll be BFFs! ;)

Not sure I can keep up with pace of this thread for another 17 months!!! Looks like some things are already booked up--can't believe Champagne Girls is already full :sad2: Guess we better figure out what else is happening and jump on it!

Wish we lived locally to you so we could come among and see you perform. Perhaps you could give us a rendition of your monologue on the ship one evening.

Sounds like you were fab Pat. How long is the show on for?

glad the show went well pat, hope the rest of the run goes smoothly too.

Glad it went well for you Pat, forgot to say break a leg to you the other night :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! We're really enjoying this show. We were all saying how we haven't had the chance to do something meaningful on stage in a long time. Unfortunately, we're only doing this for 3 nights, as it's not part of the regular theater season. Too bad, really, as it's far better material than anything else this season.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but all the proceeds go to the V-Day foundation, which works to end violence against women worldwide, and to a local charity that offers counseling for a variety of needs. So not only is it great material, it's for a great cause.

Or at the talent show.

I'm afraid the anatomical references in it would make Mickey's ears fall off.

Yeah guessing that'd be a bit racy for talent night! But it's be interesting to see how far you got before the big hook drags you off stage.... ;)

The 2 hotels that I have organized are full, but I am taking names for a third. I haven't started talking to hotels at this point, so I am open to suggestions. Most hotels give the best rates for a larger group - so I would want 15 - 20 rooms for Friday night at a minimum. I can also arrange a bus to the port if there is interest.

We are a group of 13, so we'd need several rooms, but just for Friday night. We just booked our accommodations in Florence, and are planning to fly from Florence to Barcelona on Friday. The group which isn't coming to Italy will be flying from NY to Barcelona also on Friday.

I think we too will wander in and out of this thread between now and the cruise Andrea! ;) so glad you'll be aboard :)
Looking forward to catching up.

I'm sure we can arrange an ad hoc Champagne Girls meet up for those that that want to, and enjoy more bubbly together with old and new friends :)

We stayed at the Avendia Palace for 2 nights before the WBTA. It was less than a five minute walk to the Pratik where we met the bus for the port. If I remember correctly, one block down and one block over from the Pratik. It is a very pretty hotel and the service was great. Just a thought....

:wave2:
Larry 46, DW Deb 37, DD Jen 22 DD Jess 19. We live in Green Bay about six blocks from Lambeau Field. We have been on three cruises in our lives all three Eastern 7 days on the Magic. My wife is awesome and we are looking forward to this so so much....We currently have a 9C booked and will be moving another dummy res so we will end up with 2 cabins.

I would love a bit of feedback on our budget:
Cruise $3100 (balance)
Airfare Green Bay to Barca and San Juan to Green ay $3000 (four people)
Barcelona hotel $200
San Juan hotel $100
Transfers/Cabs $100
Tips $600
Daughters passport $110 (ours will still be valid)
onboard spending $500

Spa....$200
Shopping $500
I just get the feeling that im missing some stuff....

HI :wave2: we are from chi near O'Hare...actually thinking Milwaukee maybe cheaper..not sure what we are doing as I am hoping to use free miles..if DH goes to India and Russia next year:thumbsup2

Since we had such a good time on the 2010 WBTA, we decided to do it again and excited about a new itinerary!

Please add us to the roll call. We're Andrea & Greg from Northern Virginia. Empty nesters; DVC since 1995; this will be our 9th DCL cruise (after we complete the WBPC in May) including all four ships.

:grouphug: to all from the 2010 WBTA folks! Looking forward to sailing with everyone again.

Welcome..nice to see other DVC owners too..We are OKW owners..yep original owners and empty nesters too..

you mean the type of wierd obsessive people who havent thrown anything away from any previous cruise, and spend all day on the dis? i have no idea who you mean..... :rolleyes1

I resemble that remark! ::yes::

Does anyone have any objection to me organsing the Chocolate tasting?? It looks like lots of people want to do it so I am happy to head it up. I figure once we get to the second DIS thread I won't have much to do as all the organisers will have their own posts on the first page and can update it themselves.

No objections..Chocolate is my weakness..can give up lots of other things but chocolate..never.
Thanks for all your hard work Claire..

We're starting a sign-up for the mixology tasting for anyone interested. On the WBTA 2011, a castmember demonstrated how to make 5 different cocktail....a mojito, a margarita, a sunken treasure (which seems to be a favorite on this boards! lol), a b52, and a cosmopolitan. Not sure if they will make the same drinks but you get a general idea of what the tasting entails. The cost should be about the same as the other tastings ($20 or $25/pp). If you are interested, please pm me with your full name (and the full names of those signing up with you), your cabin number, and your disboard name if you have one. Thanks!!!! :thumbsup2

P.S. I'm also organizing the rum cocktail tasting, so if you would specify which event you would like to sign up for.....I would appreciate it. I don't want to put anyone in the wrong event, so this will help me out a lot. Thanks again!

Mixology is my favorite! Love it! :drinking1 I have done this twice and well worth it..

Lanyards - any color is fine with me..It am OK!:thumbsup2

As far as hotels in Barcelona, I am in a quandry.:confused3.I want to be near my nephew and spouse where ever they are and if they can get to time off work then we can either see more of spain, or France or Italy..iif it is just me then I want to do Disneyland Paris and then spend a few days in Spain as DH wont fly in until the night before the cruise..:confused3
But if you do a San Juan hotel and bus , count us in..we are planning on staying 1 night to see some of san Juan..

I'm happy to lend a hand it you want. Just let me know! With 13 people you would be 7 of the 15-20... :)

Definitely keep us on the list. My other alternative is to book with DCL hotel/transfers, but that is going to run us quite a bit. I priced it out with them about a week ago.

I'm going to be takin suggestions for lanyard colors until Sat. March 16. At that point I will take all suggestions and we will have another poll like we did with the Cruise Name! So keep your suggestions coming if you have any!

Welcome to all the new cruisers :cool1:

Pat I take it it's the V monologues you are doing? Good on you. I was surprised when I saw it at just how many serious messages were in there. Very thought provoking in parts, and a lot of laughter and fun in others :)

My friend Kathy will be joining LovingtheMouse as her cabin mate! She'll be joining in on the fun here soon.

can't believe Champagne Girls is already full :sad2: Guess we better figure out what else is happening and jump on it!

Andrea ... send Mary a PM and get on the waitlist for Champagne Girls ... there are bound to be lots of changes before we finally get to this cruise and if there is enough interest they may be able to do a second date.

Yeah guessing that'd be a bit racy for talent night! But it's be interesting to see how far you got before the big hook drags you off stage.... ;)

Well, the first two words of my monologue are, "My vag*na...," so I think it would be pretty quick! :rotfl:

That's the one! We're having a blast performing it and we're overwhelmed by the response. We're especially gratified by the responses of the men who have attended. Most were pretty skeptical in the run-up to the show, but they have been very supportive. One in particular, who prides himself on being a real "tough guy," was moved to tears by one monologue, and was very generous in his praise for us. I just wish we had the option to hold it over for another week.

Hi Everyone! My name is Kathy and I'm going to be cruising with you all. My cabin mate is LovingtheMouse. I am also friends with Lisa and her mother Eileen. Looking forward to reading all about the cruise. Kathy

Hi Kathy - so glad you have joined us. Truly a nice group of Disney lovers and cruisers here. The next 18 months will be wonderful to share with everyone.
