you mean the type of wierd obsessive people who havent thrown anything away from any previous cruise, and spend all day on the dis? i have no idea who you mean..... :rolleyes1

You mean there are people that like around here????? ;)

yeah i like the skinny ones we had in 2011 too, not too heavy to carry round all day. and i kinda side with richard too, i like purple.

oh and for all the 2011 people, the legend of kirby lives on, i was telling people at work about it tonight and they didnt believe me, so off to do a thread search for the photos people posted a while back so i can show them :lmao:

Does he still have his facebook page Karen? That had lots of photos on it

Lime green or lavendar purple with black Disney lettering

(figuring the DIsney lettering is understood, but since this is our first cruise lanyard- I have no clue)

Thanks for taking this on, a nice soft lanyard that is also very fashionabe sounds great to wear for two weeks.

I prefer the lime green as it would really stand out in helping to find our group easily.
Skye

Look for the recap Sunday morning.

I figured out yesterday that if I lose 1 lb a week til the cruise, I will be at my perfect (like, when I was in college 100 years ago) weight! :teeth: I can do 1 lb a week. ::yes:: Or close to that. After Girl Scout cookie season is over, anyway. ;)

I've been thinking the same thing

Said the woman who just ate bacon-cheese grits and m&ms for breakfast. :sad2:

In other news...

I just changed to #7114, so we'll be joining the Deck 7 party!:banana::banana: Much as I loved our previous location (read: easy to find when drunk), which we've had on all 3 cruises now, the siren call of the secret deck was irresistible. It's actually $140 more than our previous stateroom, but as Dennis hasn't even agreed to that yet, I figure, "in for a penny, in for a pound," right? What he doesn't know works to my benefit. I think I'm on my 5th four-day hold on our ressie. I'm going to have to find a way to slip that deposit past him, soon.

Anyway, looking forward to the new stateroom experience!
Hooray ... we're practically neighbors :dance3:

honey i'm home!!!!

got back from work and found out that gary booked this for us! so i'll be joining the ragtag band of repeat cruisers from the last WBTA!! will take time to check back through all the pages over the next few days but wanted to come say hi!
So glad to have you join us ... wasn't sure if the Magic could make the trip with only one Karen aboard ;)

Lime green ... lovely bright and totally tropical !! With black lettering !!
I'm with Sarah - lime green would be lovely ::yes::

Lime green lanyards sound good to me. Dark purple with white lettering would be pretty cool, too.

And to continue my previous off-topic topic...

We just finished our second night of the "Monologues," and we had near-sellout crowds both nights! Really exciting, as this area tends to be pretty uptight about anything the least bit "edgy."

After my hideous performance in final dress the other night, I'm happy to report that I only missed half of a sentence last night, and was spot-on perfect tonight! :yay: And as my monologue is comedic (mostly) I was really happy when the audience laughed in all the right places, and got quiet in the serious bit. Nothing gives an actor a bigger thrill than an audience who "gets it." :cloud9:

Since we had such a good time on the 2010 WBTA, we decided to do it again and excited about a new itinerary!

Please add us to the roll call. We're Andrea & Greg from Northern Virginia. Empty nesters; DVC since 1995; this will be our 9th DCL cruise (after we complete the WBPC in May) including all four ships.

:grouphug: to all from the 2010 WBTA folks! Looking forward to sailing with everyone again.

Andrea! I'm so pleased you and Greg will be aboard! I was thinking of emailing you yesterday to see if you could make it.....looking forward to sharing a drink or 2 with you again :) x

Wish we lived locally to you so we could come among and see you perform. Perhaps you could give us a rendition of your monologue on the ship one evening.

Alright Peeps... now that we have decided on our Cruise Name it is time for me to start working on the lanyards! I'm looking for suggestions of colors to start. I need ideas for the actual lanyard and then the lettering!

Great job Kimmy. :)

Lanyard colour - either Pink, Purple or Lime Green. :goodvibes

Sounds like you were fab Pat. How long is the show on for?

Does anyone have any objection to me organsing the Chocolate tasting?? It looks like lots of people want to do it so I am happy to head it up. I figure once we get to the second DIS thread I won't have much to do as all the organisers will have their own posts on the first page and can update it themselves.

I'm not taking sign ups yet, just asking if anyone objects?

Also still looking for volunteers, even those already doing something, do you want to organise a second event? We have had interest in Mixology tasting, Wine tasting, pub Crawl...i'm sure i'm missing some too?

Cool, we will be on the WPBC with you too - so there will be someone else we already know when we board for the WBTA!:)

I would love either lime green with black lettering, or dark purple with white.

:welcome: to all the new bookers :)

Love the Green suggestion for the lanyards.

Calling all Chocoholics!!!!

I will be organising a private DIS Chocolate Tasting group, it is a newish thing so and after a little research it appears that you get a selection of white, milk and dark chocolate (dark 62%, darker 72% and darkest 85%!) and a shot glass of melted white, milk and dark chocolate. You taste the different chocolates with a variety of wines as well as a glass of whisky. I believe it is $30 per person.

If you would like to sign up then please PM me (pinky166) with the full name (first & surname) and cabin number of all wishing to take part. I am pretty sure that it will be a maximum of 49 people so it will be on a first come, first served basis. If we exceed 49 then I will start a waitlist/possible second group.

My trip planing is getting out of control. Now we are looking at a week in Italy before the cruise, except there are no flights Saturday morning, which leads me to the same problem of needing a hotel in Barcelona on Friday night! *sigh*

We're starting a sign-up for the mixology tasting for anyone interested. On the WBTA 2011, a castmember demonstrated how to make 5 different cocktail....a mojito, a margarita, a sunken treasure (which seems to be a favorite on this boards! lol), a b52, and a cosmopolitan. Not sure if they will make the same drinks but you get a general idea of what the tasting entails. The cost should be about the same as the other tastings ($20 or $25/pp). If you are interested, please pm me with your full name (and the full names of those signing up with you), your cabin number, and your disboard name if you have one. Thanks!!!! :thumbsup2

P.S. I'm also organizing the rum cocktail tasting, so if you would specify which event you would like to sign up for.....I would appreciate it. I don't want to put anyone in the wrong event, so this will help me out a lot. Thanks again!
