Not decided yet, as for price limit youse your own judgment. It's suppose to be fun, but don't go broke buying stuff! I like the idea of individual gifts what about you guys?

I like that idea too. I've already been scoping Pinterest :)

Someone asked about the DVC Member cruise...
here is my honest opinion= MEH

I don't think we'd do one again. It was ok, but as far as all of the "gifts" that you receive, I felt like I totally paid for them since the cruise cost more than a normal one. Plus, I actually feel like I am treated better by the DVC staff on a "regular" cruise vs. the member cruise.
It was nice to meet a few Disney animators and see some sessions with them. I enjoyed missing Nassau, and only going to Castaway Cay as well.
But, my DH & I both felt like there was a feeling of "entitlement" with many of the passengers on the member cruise that you don't get on a regular cruise. I don't think of myself as "entitled" just because I am a DVC member...

So, instead, I'll do 7 nights on the Fantasy with you fun people and miss the 4 night member cruise that sails at the same time. :)

Just booked this for myself, 2 daughters (11 & 13 at time of sailing) and my Mom.
seasoned travelers and cruisers, but we have never sailed with Disney!
Looking to join a Fish Extender group, as we have heard so much about them!
Also, looking for any families interested in sharing a cabana on Castaway Cay should I be able to secure one. :yay:

Hello and welcome!!!

I have been involved in a "debate" on another board regarding leaving your child in a youth club while leaving the ship for an excursion/shopping. I spoke to my travel agent regarding this and this was my reply from her...

"Disney requests that you do not leave the ship, leaving children in the kids clubs, as if there is an emergency they need to be able to have a parent/guardian available immediately."

Has anyone else heard of this? Others are saying that it is ok to leave your child in the club and leave the ship.

We take our kids with us when off the ship. We did have friends that were told that the children are not to be left if you are not on board. they have no way to reach parents and ensure a timely return should an emergency happen. This is information from WBTA's in 2009 and 2011.

Good luck. Getting closer every day!

Been a long time since I posted anything so thought I better check in. I think a ways back someone was asking where we are from in Canada. We live just north of Brampton, Ontario. Glad to see some other Canadians on board!
It is my husband and I travelling with our 4 year old daughter and 7 year old son. Definately going to take advantage of the kids programs on board.

Chat soon! :)
