I hear those are very rare.

I didn't find the cause yet. Inspected it yesterday and couldn't find any holes or places where critters could crawl in. Maybe we have a stray cat living in the garden somewhere.:confused3

Ghosts!!

Now to accelerate all of our plans by 6 hours, including cutting into my beauty sleep for the 3am wake up call to make the drive to the airport.

Will it really make a difference?

You should read his TR... it's fantastic :thumbsup2 A new appreciation for personal man space :lmao:

Disney for DDs 16th with her 6 GFs? Are You Stupid Nuts?

Are you stupid, crazy, freakin' nuts?!?

Thanks Don and yes Chris, I was.

Ever feel like you just did a beer bong full of Beverly, followed by someone using one of those stadium t-shirt cannons to fire a jar of Peanut Butter at your groin? Yup.

Fly out for Florida tomorrow at noon. Forecast for tomorrow here in Milwaukee? 6-10" of snow with blowing and drifting. :furious: Cruise doesn't leave until Thursday, and Tuesday evening and Wednesday were basically planned as hanging out with the in-laws at their place, so I'm not too upset if we're delayed a little bit. But sitting at the airport, watching it snow and staring at an empty gate where our plane should be sitting for 3....4.....5.... hours with 3 kids could get a wee pit annoying.

You poor baby. I do hope the flight gets out on time if only for Bambi's sake. Whining voice, "Is the plane here yet?" Bambi: "No Barry, now go play with the kids." Good news is the temps should be warming up down here by then.

We might have to start calling you Don.

That is funny. And a double shot in one post.

When it gets up to the low 40s I'll be breaking out the shorts and sandals.

I haven't worn shorts for the last two days.

I've been off the radar for a week or so... Been painting and installing new tile in my basement...

How is Melody doing? Give her our best.

I've been off the radar for a week or so... Been painting and installing new tile in my basement. I have another few hours of painting today and I should be done. We have new carpet coming in a few weeks. We need to make room for our new addition coming in about 2 months. We are turning our dining room into the baby's room, our living room into the dining room, and downstairs will be the new living room. We were thinking about doing some remodeling, but the quotes we got were way out of our budget right now. Basically 80-90K to add a dining room off our family room, expand our kitchen by 8x12, add central air, and put hardwood in the baby's room. I guess we will live with our new configuration for now.

Hope everyone had a good week...

Barry- Can you try to call the airline and get an earlier flight out? Sometimes they will allow a change for no fee for impending weather.

CT Sandy Hook Runners- Hope your training is going well... less than 20 days!!! I guess I need to get a little training under my belt. I hope to get back to the gym this week. I've been cleared by my doctor to start light training.

Yup. Very expensive to do renovations. Sounds like you got a lot done though. We are planning both bathrooms this spring summer. Just starting the design knowing it's not going to be easy on the wallet.

Those are good- but I was thinking of :bday:

The annual birthday post from you is one of the few bright spots of getting older.

Well by gosh golly gee..............:bday:party::jumping1:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Please tell me the light at the end of this tunnel is not an oncoming train!!:headache:

Are you standing on train tracks.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I hope it get's better quickly. Just remember spring is coming and fishing season is upon us.

Remember that promotion I interviewed for? I got rejected this morning. So I have no such information to disprove your claim. :(

Sorry you were passed over....again. Do they ever tell you why you were not chosen? Sounds like you may find more appreciative employment in the "greener pasture on the other side". Good luck.

Well then,,,

Hey Chris!

Happy birthday Chris.

Thanks Randall! Now to continue the celebration, I'm off to the dentist!!

You are one party animal.

This is where I guess I would say Tim had a good idea, but Bambi called me before I read Tim's post, so the credit for the good idea goes to Bambi.

We all know that she is smarter than both you and Tim. Combined.

Thanks. Everybody always tells me I'm a great interview, presented myself well, I was right there among the finalists, blah blah blah. In other words, I'm a terrific candidate to work somewhere else. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that Mark.

Please tell me the light at the end of this tunnel is not an oncoming train!!:headache:

Hey Fed. Go out and get some bad guys, you will feel better. Either that or go fishing.

Must be rough.

It is. Although today I am wearing shorts. And a sweatshirt.

Howdy fellow dads, hope all is well, been away from the DIS for a few months (prob missed 20 threads lol) everything is good here, hope everything is good with all dads. Just got back from our crazy weekend WDW trip, it was great, and thank you to all the guys for your suggestions, esp on dining o'hana dinner was amazing. I honestly didn't take alot of pictures so my trip report will be alittle bland so it won't hurt my feelings if no one reads it. I also planned on taking a break from planning our Oct DL trip but as luck has it southwest opened up the flight dates this morning so hotel and air are now booked. Also welcome to all new Disdads that I missed while away and prayers for those family's who need them.

Hey Philip. Welcome back. Glad the trip went well. The only thing you need to plan for October is hitting the NBC Haunted mansion. Even though you've talked it up already, I'll read the report.:rotfl2:

Need some advice.

We are finally entering the modern communications era and getting I-Phones. The problem is the current provider T-mobile will support it but I have to pay full pop for the phone. Choices are ATT, Verizon or Sprint. I hardly ever use mine, she is on it some but mostly is a texting fiend. Data would be probably be average usage. But I could see myself using it a lot more with a phone that could actually do data.

Which one do you guys use and would suggest?

No, the feedback has not been helpful. I should have been hired many times over by now if I was as good an interview as they say.

I've looked at other postings/opportunities but there's not much out there in my field. Mostly because states are cutting back on funding and not putting a lot of projects out there. Also, I would have to give up my pension if I left, and that would be a huge benefit to leave behind.

Sorry to hear that Mark.

Thanks, CJ.

Hey Philip, was wondering were you got off to.

Get a map out and check out the hotels across the street from DLR. Then check them on Trip Advisor. We did that last June and got a nice place right across the street. I swear it was quicker walking to the hotel then it was walking to the buses at some of the parks in WDW.
A few months back I went ahead and rented points for VGC, should of used my points but didn't want to risk not getting the dates I needed since they are DDs fall break, but I agree the fact that everything is right there is great no need for buses other then hired airport shuttle

first off I'd talk to some people near you to figure out what carrier they have and whether or not it sucks. I've travelled for work using both ATT and Verizon phones and in general Verizon has had better coverage. That being said with an AT&T iphone you can talk and surf the web or check your email at the same time. You can't with Verizon. That's a pretty big handicap in my book. I have an AT&T phone now, but I'd look to see who's got the best coverage around your house and where the pirate princess roams before I made a decision.

What's a pension?

I think Ryan said it best. As far as expense goes, I really don't think it makes much difference anymore. I'd go for the one that has the best network both around where you're going to be and where she's going to be. I personally use Verizon, because I used to travel quite a bit for work and Verizon just seemed to have the best overall coverage. I had co-workers on AT&T that would lose signal in places that I didnt.

I can say that with Verizon, you basically just customize your package for what data you think you're going to need and you and the Pirate Princess would share from the same data pool. If you're not going to use the 4G data very much or have access to wifi most of the time then you can just get a smaller data package. If you want more data, you can get more. Phone calls and texts are unlimited.
