I can't remember if it was the Med. cruise or the WBTA 2011, but one night at 10:00 pm (towards the end of the cruise) there was a "chocolate lover's delight" buffet. :scared: It was in Lumiere's. Chocolate as far as the eye could see. I've never seen anything like it. White chocolate, dark chocolate, Mickey Mouse chocolate statues, mousse, cakes, tarts, etc. A whole separate table of delicious-looking sugar-free (is there such a thing??? :goodvibes) chocolate desserts.If I can remember tonight, I'll get some of my pictures and post them. Ga-yaya......can you remember which one it was?

So they do have a chocolate buffet on one of their cruises. I'm in if they another one!!!! :cool1:

I did one of the chocolate tastings on the EBPC in December. As MaryLou wrote, it was very tasty. They had 3 sets of chocolates, to match up with 4 drinks- champagne, 2 wine and a whisky. The chocolate was Godiva and another brand, each set was 2 hard chocolates and a glass of melted chocolate. They ranged from white chocolate to dark.
The tasting was lead by the Head Sommelier on the Wonder, and went very quickly. We were told they were testing the waters, and I think he got a good response. Most of the tastings were around 10pm in the Outlook Cafe, but I did one during the day in Cadillac, where all the other tastings were held. It was a small group, and very elite, as a couple individuals came in and wanted to watch/listen and were escorted out of the bar.

I love the detailed introductions you guys are giving. It really gives me a feeling of who I will be cruising with. I will have to come up with some more interesting facts about my family to share.

Was that the midnight Dessert Buffett? I do remember that, but was still too full from dinner to participate. Next time I would be sure to eat a small dinner so I could enjoy it :)

They had that on the EBPC as well. We didn't make it, but saw the photos and it was impressive. Apparently you need to get there right as they open the doors to see the beauty.

I've sent you a PM su_kraft regarding the hotel.

BARCELONA BUS TO PORT...
In addition to the Hotel Praktik Rambla I have been in touch with a bus provider.

Thank you for all the work you are putting into organizing this, Susan!

Now, I have to go and hit my hubby who thinks I am taking too long. This could have been three sentences... "cruised with the whole family in 2005. Took just my family in 2009, and then again in 2010... You get the idea... Not to worry, a couple drinks, some goading by the MI fans and he will open up...

Do you mean, GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I got that part covered::yes::

BARCELONA BUS TO PORT...
In addition to the Hotel Praktik Rambla I have been in touch with a bus provider. We used a bus in 2010 to pick up from the two Praktik hotels and unfortunately the amount of luggage was not estimated correctly and the group at the second hotel had to wait for a second bus to go and get them. However, the bus made it very easy to get from the hotel to the port - and it was very inexpensive.

Trying to learn from what was done before, I requested a quote on enough bus to handle up to 90 people - each with 2 pieces of luggage to go under the bus. I received a quote back today. They actually would send 2 buses, each for 59 passengers. I think this would accommodate the luggage!

So we don't have an issue like we did in 2010 with them needing to send a second bus as an afterthought, both buses will pick up at the Hotel Praktik Rambla. I have not set a time as yet, but I would think that we did a 8:30 bus arrival last time and that worked great! We took 30-45 minutes to load the bus, and then is was a short drive to the port. We unloaded luggage to the porters from the bus, and then got in line to board the Magic!

What I need now is input to whether or not your party would want to take the bus to the port. You do NOT have to pay for the bus now! You don't need to be at the Praktik to take the bus - but you need to get to the Praktik to get on the bus. The price per person will be determined by how many sign up. If we fill the buses with 80 people we are looking at approximately $10 per person. If you want a place on the bus please email me at sue.kraft@ksttravel.com with the number of people that you will be reserving for. I will be posting this on DIS as well!

LOL, you lost me at 8:30am, Sue. I didn't do intros, but a few of you know us and a.m. stands for "angry mike." it isn't till noon that we get "pleasant mike." :goodvibes

I am not a fan of getting up early either ... but at least for me being European this will REALLY be 8.30 am, while for you freshly arrived from the States and still on your own internal clock, it will be 2.30 am :crazy2:

Hi Debs

There's usually one on most cruises, it's for the Teen Club graduation party, they get to have a dessert party and then, when they are finished, they let us all in. We went to it on WBTA 2010, but felt completely sick after it, but can't remember being in the vicinity on WBTA 2011

All I remember is that we were in Rockin' Bar D and all of a sudden I remembered it, and I wanted to take pictures of all the desserts. So I left everyone to go take pics.....I tried eating a little but we had just stuffed our stomachs at late dining. I was NOT hungry, so only had a little......absolutely stunning how they decorated each dessert! ::yes::
