....I guess this is my nudge from my DH... I should clarify that Kimberly is KIIIMMMMMBERRRRRRLYYYYY!!!!!!! and that she smiles when you yell down the hall! Feel free to greet her this way! I will!!!......

Now, I have to go and hit my hubby who thinks I am taking too long. This could have been three sentences... "cruised with the whole family in 2005. Took just my family in 2009, and then again in 2010... You get the idea....

:) for "KIIIMMMMMBERRRRRRLYYYYY!!!!!!! " and  at the idea of three sentences!

Hi, I'm Glenn. I'm the quiet half of su_kraft and Buckeye Goofy. Well, quiet until you get to know me, then i often don't shut up. My DW Sue has been writing the formal intro for 45 minutes now, with all the details from birth until now. Well, at least all the details since our first Disney trip. Stay tuned. :)

And like Kimberly, I'm proud to be a Buckeye!

Glad to see so many friends from 2010, looking forward to meeting new ones!

Hmmm, i wonder; how much flak am I going to catch?

:rotfl: Hilarious! :rotfl:

OK, I'll play :wave2:.....We are: Pat (turning 53 tomorrow :crazy2:) and Larry (a very young 66). We live in the Pocono region of NE PA.

So what part of the Poconos? I currently live in Hatboro, PA which is about an hour north of Philadelphia but spent my early childhood growing up in a little down called Tamaqua (just south of Hazelton). I still have family from my father's side of the family that live in the farmland west of Tamaqua.

And have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I went along to see Donny & Marie show at Glasgow, and my friend and I were chatting to Donny's staff (i saw he had a badge of Donny with AAA) and the staff realised that we are deaf and took us to backstage to meet Donny!before the show started. I was gobsmacked and when I met him and he used ASL, it was best night ever!! That was three weeks ago...

Scottishwee35

What a wonderful night! That sounds just like Donny, I've met him many times over the years and he's always so generous with his time in meeting fans. His two eldest brothers are deaf so signing is second nature to him. Is there much difference between ASL and BSL? Can you understand both?

Karen where have you been hiding? Glad to be sailing with you again! :)
Peek-a-boo! I see you Liz! Glad to have you onboard too :goodvibes

You guys all make me very nervous. I don't know what I am having for dinner tonight, much less what tastings I want to do or what hotel I want to stay in 18 months from now (if we wind up going at all)!! You all are freaking me out! :scared1:

Mike & Jodie, King & Queen of Game Day Decisions :joker:

That's easy, Jodie! Just sign up for ALL of the tastings and stay in the same hotel as the rest of us. Problem solved!!!

I just read about chocolate tastings that were done on the Panama crossing cruise. The poster said it was chocolate and some adult beverages like whiskey.Where do I sign up for that?

I went to Donny's show about 4 years ago and my friend and I got front seats and allow us to up and dance so my friend signed ILY with ASL then he spotted us and signed back to us about 3 times. then we met him again, and I was on cloud9 after I met him. he speaked and sign very clearly but lucky I met an interpreters on Disney Cruise and we shared our sign languages and I learn ASL. Donny also have deaf nephew too.

Oh I wish to go to Las Vegas to see Donny & Marie's show again lol:rotfl:

CHOCOLATE The magical word everybody respond on. I still know our chats about chocolate, booze and shoes and some more went so quick on FB that we had more then 200 responds in one minute or so.
But a chocolate tasting would be great.

Chocolate tasting - did someone mention chocolate......:lovestruc:cool1:

Intro:

We are Neil & Michelle.. both 40 somethings - met at school but didn't start dating till after we'd left. We have been together 29 years. Married for 26 years - we are onboard for our wedding anniversary 19/9 :thumbsup2

We have 2 daughters..26 & 19, who won't be coming with us. Both still living at home.

We have a great fondness of Labradors and at one point we had 11 :crazy2: That was because Minnie (who I sadly lost last year:() had puppies. Out of 11 we have 2 of the puppies left.

We have been lucky enough to visit WDW on many occasions since 1992.. when we took our once in a life time holiday...yeah right!
We have been DVC members since 2006, if Neil had of had his way it would've been 1994.. He was right, I was wrong, but don't tell him that - :flower3:

Our first cruise was 2007 - after lots of "go on do it's" from friends. This will be our 6th cruise, 2nd Transatlantic.

That's us...

For our introduction I am Jon and my DW is Candida. We have been together for 22 years, married for 15 in May. We have three boys and two girls. The oldest is 14 and the youngest 6 months. With that age range it is a real zoo around here. They won't be coming on the cruise with us, actually they have never been taken anywhere. They don't all travel well. They are actually, two dogs, a cat, bird and fish:goodvibes

This will be our 8th cruise. This will be our second WBTA. Our 6th is the WBPC in May, with the 7th being the 9nt Alaskan next year.

Candida spends most of her time dealing with the "kids" and scrapbooking. I spend my days working on or under the water. For the past seven years I have been working as a commercial diver and supervisor. Outside of that I am also a recreational diving instructor. So, the water is a big part of our life.

Jon

Hi Jon

My name is Richard and DW Sue - she writes for the DIS normally but I was the one to start it so it's my handle 'Babydiver' although I have been diving for over 40 years. I asked earlier on in the thread if anyone was going to be doing a diving package at any of the islands and so far have had one response. On the WBTA 2011 there were quite a few of us on board.

So will you be diving on any of the islands?

Regards Richard

Chocolate tasting - did someone mention chocolate......:lovestruc:cool1:

..

Well, we've signed up for most of everything else but if there was CHOCOLATE it would be the top of the list!

Now to introduce ourselves. WE are Sue (62) and Richard (66 with a birthday last Saturday) and we live in the UK.

I get the travelling bug from my Father who took the family to East Africa and Bermuda to work/live when I was growing up. I met Richard while he was serving in the Royal Air Force so we continued to move around during his 25 year service. We met in 1973 and married in 1976 and will be celebrating our 38th Wedding Anniversary on the day we arrive in Barcelona for the cruise. ie 4th Sept.

We first went to WDW in 1989 and thought that would be our one and only American trip but have returned to see the mouse on many occasions as well as doing self drive holiday tours around New England (spring and fall) California (north and South), Las Vegas and surrounding National Parks (Monument Valley etc). Richard loves driving trips in the US.

While staying in the Beach Club in 2004 we met a wonderful couple from Long Island, New York whilst swimming in the quiet pool and hit it off. We have stayed with them on many occasions and holidayed together.

We joined DVC in 2005 (Saratoga Springs) and took our first Disney Cruise on the Magic (7 night WC) in 2007 where we met our good friends from Kentucky and have cruised many times with them since and visited each others homes. We cruised with them on the Fantasy last month and are going to their home in November to celebrate Thanksgiving. We are trying to persuade them to join us on this WBTA 2014.

We both love to travel and cruise (who would have guessed from reading this??) and both like to read, go to the movies.

Richard is a big DIY (Do it Yourself) fan and completely renovated our home when we moved here nearly 3 years ago. When he left the Air Force he worked as an electrician. He loves individual sports ie, diving (for over 40 years), match shooting, horse riding, parachuting, gliding.....most of which he can't afford to do now he has left the Air Force!!!!

But he still loves to dive - in warm water!!!!!

I love cross stitch, tapestry, cooking and baking and entertaining.

We did the WBTA in 2011 and joined the DisBoard group just before and met up on some of the events but not many as we were too shy....we have since grown out of that and are doing most of them this time.....so....

Looking forward to meeting old and new friends next year. That's us!

Ooh, I would love to participate in a chocolate tasting too! :goodvibes
There was somebody talking about it over on the main cruise board (here), did you see? Doesn't that sound divine?

He would love to!!! He's such a ham! As for the Castle, anytime! Just PM me. Here's the website so you can check it out...

http://www.magiccastle.com

OK, another vote to see magic on the MAGIC !pixiedust::smickey: Go, Gus!!

And when we finally get on a Panama Canal cruise, and DW gets to DL for the first time, The Magic Castle is also on our list.

Once again, thank goodness we will be getting that "extra" hour a night at sea - all the tastings/events/gatherings as well as all the DCL extra offerings demand it!

OK, we're Ken (disdel) and Debbie. Married for 36 years this October, our first DCL cruise was for our 30th anniversary. We had taken two cruises prior to DCL. The only thing memorable about those was the one in 1997, when we literally "crashed into Canada". The ship took out a huge chunk of the pier in St. John. Moving on . . . . . . . . .

We were Disneyholics (parks/movies) with our first visit to WDW in 1978 for our first anniversary. We raised our kids (now 31 & 29) in like fashion, they both can lead you around all of WDW, quote pretty much every attraction soundtrack, as well as pretty much every Disney movie. (as well as Monty Python, Hunter S. Thompson, but I digress. I do that a lot, sorry:rolleyes1)

Then our first DCL, a Western Caribbean on the MAGIC, hooked us. The EBTA in 2010 was a high point, as was last year's Alaska sailing. We think this WBTA will push the bar even higher:woohoo:

On the EBTA, we were tablemates with two other couples. Thanks go to our head server Wira (and hoping he's aboard for the WB) for the MAGIC that occurred. Jen (Jen24) and Marc, from NC, and Daria and Terry, from Philly, are now our dear and lifelong friends. AND, they're on this sailing with us:yay:

Debbie, R.N., is currently a school nurse, who really wants to be a RETIRED school nurse:rotfl2: She WILL be by the time of sailing:rolleyes1
I'm retired from law enforcement (Always remember the 37, 9/11/01), so, to Rick (DGentrysim, Disneydeb's DH) and Pete (Diznyfan68, Lorri's DH), like my wife has said for years,"You guys always find each other". See you aboard. Or maybe before, given our visiting NC this summer, and the fact that I cruise into Rondout Creek once in a while, which is near you, Lorri.

There's also quite a few aboard this sailing who've been on various previous cruises, and we are looking forward to meeting in person many more.:cheer2:

So, :hourglass

Oh my!!!!!! I've just read the description and I have to say it made my mouth water!!!!!

Do we know if this is a regular thing on all cruises now, as not heard about it before an I can normally sniff out chocolate within a hundred paces!!!!!!

My turn ...

We are Mary and DH Stevie (aka StephenKay) on the DIS. We have one DD, soon to be 18 in a couple of weeks and my 2 babies Tod & Copper, Yorkshire terriers (hence the DISname) who are named after characters in one of my favourite Disney movies , Fox & The Hound. We live in the far North of Scotland, near Inverness (Loch Ness Monster and Brave country!) I am originally from Kilmarnock, a town South of Glasgow and Stevie is from Edinburgh. We've been married for 21 years.

Stevie and I growing up watched Walt Disney and Disneyland on the TV in the 70s and thought it was a magical place far far away that we could never reasonably get to!

Stevie was in the Royal Air Force for 22 years and we moved to this area when we got married. Stevie recently retired from the RAF and is still deciding what to do now, but is currently enjoying his military retirement. I work as a Paralegal in a local law firm and have been practising in law for the last 10 years, but have worked in the law profession for 20+ years.

I got made redundant in 1998 and got £2000 in a redundancy payment... what to do ? A trip to WDW me thinks!!!! Immediately booked our "trip of a lifetime". The day we left WDW was my 30th birthday and I cried all the way down Main Street to the Disney buses, I didn't want to leave and thought I would never be back.

Wrong, we pulled the resources and went back in 2000 for the millenium celebrations and discovered DVC - hey we can seriously do WDW every year?? We're in - and never looked back.

I don't have sea legs but DH convinced me to try DCL for a 3 night bahamian on the Wonder in 2005, to see what a cruising with Disney would be like ..... again totally hooked!! As some of you have said, it's hard to understand the Disney obsession, but luckily 3 or 4 of our close friends here at home are like-minded and have bought DVC too, so we don't have to explain our obsession very often. Basically we go to WDW and sail on DCL any and every opportunity we can.

This WBTA will be our 15th Disney cruise and have just completed our 10th sailing at Christmas Past on the Dream. We have 2 med cruises booked for this summer, one with Claire and Lee (Pinky166) our fantastic friends we met on WBTA 2010 and DD (she's calling it her High School Graduation Cruise) and one on our own. Then the 4 of us are sailing on the Fantasy together in November which will be amazing having been on all 4 ships.

DD wants to do a TA, so have tentatively booked EBTA 2014 for our family and DDs BFF, all depending on University placements later this year.

We did WBTA 2010 with my DSIL and DBIL and we didn't participate much with the DIS, as it was a family cruise, but DH did chat with some of you on the boards and on the cruise. I decided to take the plunge for WBTA 2011 and joined the Boards, what a fantastic bunch of people to chat to and cruise with and I have met a handful of special people who will now be lifelong friends. The WBTA cruises have been the best vacations ever and let's hope the next one is just as amazing!

Sorry for prattling on so much, its easy to get carried away with your life story and hope you enjoyed reading this

Oooohhh, a chocolate tasting would be heavenly!! What are the chances of convincing DCL to do that?

As I posted before, we are Tim (54 when we cruise) and Gail (43).

We have six children, but the two oldest are grown and on their own. Our oldest daughter has also thoughtfully provided us with 3 grandchildren-the youngest was born 8 hours before we left for our last cruise. We told our daughter we needed to meet our newest grandchild before we left and we got the call just in time to run to the hospital and snuggle her before jumping in the car and driving to Florida!

Our first Disney cruise was in 2002 as part of a Land & Sea package. We were immediately hooked and followed with cruises in '03 and '04. We took a break from cruising for a few years and grew our family a bit more. Our two youngest daughters were born in China and through the miracle of adoption we were able to become their parents. We love traveling in China and will be spending a couple of weeks there this summer, so my head is currently wrapped up in planning that trip before I can completely focus on this one!

We did Panama Canal in May 2008 with Disney and then a B2B on the Dream in 2012. This cruise will be our first without children. I expect it will be a little sad, but very relaxing too!
