I had a large answer for you and the board timed me out before posting it!:sad2:

Basically I had two links and three things to say...
http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-cruise-line/meets.htm
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607&page=2 (look at post #20 for gift ideas)

The first link has another link to a no-sew extender or if you want, you can go to ebay. Basically you need to be able to hook it onto the fish mail hook outside your stateroom. Ilikethe extenders which have a pocket for each member of the traveling party.

As far as what to put into them; it depends on how much money and time you want to spend (look at mamaholdyou.com for an example of going all out!) Many people put in a small item that commemorates the cruise like a magnet, or something that displays the disboard logo, or if it is over a holidaythey use that, or perhaps their hometown so you get a taste of their home. The second link has the breakdown from one cruise. I think the longer cruises typically have more participants and more "loot". This year we will be probably giving small gifts from Japan where we just finished living for 5 years.

Last item: Door decorations..look at the first link. Use magnets - If you use adhesives, DCL may charge you for repairs. We have a magnet for each cruise, each stay as DVC members, mouse ears to go on above the room numbers and a few family items. As a tip try to personalize the things so they are less likely to be stolen. We have never had a problem, but have heard of other who lost items.

I suggest you look over the links and if you think of specific questions; I will try to help out more.

Hello! We will be on the September 8th cruise and can not wait!! DH 49, DD8 and Me 47! Traveling with some friends this time who are taking their first Disney cruise! :cool1:

Welcome Skelster and mom2maci! I've added you to the roll call. We haven't finalized FEs yet, so you got here in plenty of time.

mmieszczak - On my last DCL cruise, I made the single pouch FE that is no sew. It's made with a drawstring bag, iron tape and Disney ribbon. I am not crafty at all, and it was really easy. Everything can be purchased on ebay, and I paid less than $10.00 for the parts. I think it's in the links that skelster posted. If it's not and you are interested, I can send you a photo of mine.

Has anyone ever cruised with a child that was hesitant to be left alone in the kids' club? My DD(5) is fine being left at school, gymnastics, etc. But she usually has to be warmed up to the area and people there. We are planning on spending some time there with her during the open hours on the first day. But if anyone has tips about how they got their kids to stay...especially during dinner..I'm all ears. Thanks.

Our Daughter was always very outgoing at school and gymnastics, then she was soooo worried about going to the kids club when she was 6, and literally had herself worried sick! Once on board, you get to tour the clubs (open house format) and she will see just how fun they are and have her meet a councler right away and then she will be fine. The counclers are amazing at warming them up to them and new friends! I had to argue with my daughter on night 2, to leave the club to come to dinner as a family! My daughter now 17, basically goes to the teen club on the 1st night to meet people and then we dont see her much except for our "Family" dinner rule ;) And of course to check in with us (she still doesnt get free run of the ship!) Just my opinion.

Thanks Niki! I'm really hoping that's the reaction she has too. You give me hope!

Hello again all....I just got off the 2/10 4 night cruise one the Dream. We had a great time and I spoke to the cruise director Christian who made few calls shore side for me and was able to set up my v 20 yr Vow Renewal for 9/11 (which is my actual anniversary).....can't wait.

Hi everyone,

Just booked back to back; DS9 and DD6 wantedthe virtual portholes and DW and I wanted to try concierge service; so we are doing both! Heading to FB page. Sounds like we will have a great group and hope we are not too late to get in on the FE. This is first time on Dream, but 4th (and 5th) on DCL.

Brian

I noticed on the Facebook page you started a sign up document for the FE....do you want to be in charge of the FE list? If not I will have a dear friend set up a sign up document with a running list.

Just booked!!! yes! Me and my DH and Ds who is 6 and has NEVER seen Mickey. This will be great!

Welcome Rouge1230 and Texkat80! You've been added to the roll call.

Wildel - welcome back! glad you had a good trip and that's great that you were have to get your renewal on your anniversary!

Thank you! TexKat and I are actually very close friends, our kids are the same age and best buddies so this cruise should be amazing for us all.

Has a fish extender list been started? We would both like to join. :cool1:

I am sorry, I can't locate the page, could some one post a link, or PM me?

Thanks!!:woohoo:

Sorry! TexKat led me to the link. So now I am just waiting for the add approval! SO excited!!!!

Anyone interested in joining the FE Group can find the sign up link on the FB page (Disney Dream September 8-12, 2013).

Since all the adults in our group have already been to Nassau I thought about taking the kids on one of the glass bottom/mini-sub boat rides. Has anyone done one of these before?

Thanks!

Hi everyone! :wave2: We are lucky enough to join all of you and are so excited!!! My oldest dd will be getting married :bride: on the cruise so we will have quite a gathering with us. My immediate family will include Me, dh, dd1 (getting married), dd2 (18), ds1 (15) and ds2 (3). We will also have lots of grandparents, dd's fiance's family, etc. It sounds like there will be quite a few on this cruise having VR's as well. Congratulations to everyone celebrating something! pixiedust:
