I applied on-line for tickets and never thought I would hear from them.

In our mail yesterday, we received a parking voucher, two 1-day park tickets for the MK and two wristbands for the 11:30 am taping on Feb. 19. :yay::yay:

Of course, they said that these tickets do not guarantee admittance to the Program. "All persons will be required to submit to an external scan by a hand held magnetometer prior to entry. No weapons are allowed." I think I can agree to that. :rotfl2:

Thanks for asking, Kathy. :goodvibes Bob had his 6 month checkup yesterday and all his blood work and vitals are just fine. Other than the lasting effects from the stroke he is in terrific health. Can't ask for more than that can we? :thumbsup2

I am up to my eyeballs at work, but you all have to hear me say that all the time. :rotfl: We are preparing 140 students to participate in the National Federation of Music Clubs' Junior Music Festival on February 23. The two weekends prior to the actual Festival (our District holds the event in Manassas, VA) we hold "practice" recitals at our studio. So, we are working 7 days a wee because we believe it makes our students much more prepared for the actual performances. I have 9 students who are playing piano concerto so I am trying to find time to practice the second piano part to accompany them. That does not leave a lot of hours in my days! :lmao:

Sunny here in Virginia, but our daughter in Boston is giving us updates on the storm. I am very glad her guy got home from his business trip in time to be snowed in with her! ;)

I'm up early to send my DS13 off to All Region Jazz Band. Thankfully his friend's Dad is giving him a ride & we don't have to be there until lunch time. Now I've just got to get Ds11 up and off to figure skating. At least I can DIS there - while I'm freezing my bum off!!! :lmao:

KATHY : Very cool!!! I'll have to tape the show that day! Let us know what you're wearing so we can try and spot you in the crowd!!! :woohoo:

ELIN: Fantastic news about Bob! I'm so happy to hear how well he's doing!!!

And, very cool about the music stuff! You must be an amazing teacher!!! Wish we lived near you. Both my boys want to play piano, but we just haven't found the right teacher (or the time) yet.

Sunny here too. Good morning everyone. Today David and I are hosting a Chinese New Year's party!

So I have to get cleaning and cooking....
 


Anybody have trouble DISing from your phone? I only have a small window where I can see what I'm typing then it goes invisible & I'm at the mercy of hoping I hit the right buttons & autocorrect!!!! :eek:
Any way to fix that???

Mine does the too, I have to flip it the other way and it will sometimes work.

My David does ALL the cleaning & laundry! We're lucky girls!!! :goodvibes:

He started doing it when I first got sick (about 12 years ago) & just kept doing it! :woohoo:

Mine doesn't ...but its structured to where I always hit send or cancel early....

I have severe allergies to dust and dust mites, so when we were dating, he saw me have a reaction, had to take me to the Dr and get a shot, and go through the drugs, all that mess, and he has been doing the cleaning since!

We split the household chores, but he does the cleaning, and oil changes for sure.

Oh well, gotta get moving... Going to be a long, fun day. Can't wait to hear DS's jazz solos. He said he has one in every song! :woohoo: Hopefully the band director will let him have lead in America the Beautiful. Band Directors are supposed to take lead in one song, but his director is considering letting a student do it. He said he knows the parents aren't there to listen to him. Fingers crossed!!!! :)
