PMed you Jen, but I see you've got it! :lmao: Love you ladies. :rotfl: :grouphug:

In other vaguely interesting news...

So, I kinda just put down a deposit. :rolleyes1 :cheer2:
I came allllll the way over here from that Gluten Free thread of Melissa's and nothing! I've got nothing! Details please! Or do I have to go all the way in my Sea Raycer over to the CR thread:sail:

Well, we are a party of 5 that booked while we there in Jan to go back this Sept, but i'm having a horrible time deciding if it was the right call on the time and also the resort. Its myself, my DW, DS 8, DD 6 and DS 3 at the time we go back, we're booked at GF. Not sure really want to stay there and though we've never stayed at contemp, when we've visited there we never much cared for it. Now i'm considering trying a mod for the first time POR is where we'd stay. Problem is the monorail was def great for the ages of our kids. What to do what to do.

I have tried and tried to stay at POR. It is such a great price and the reort look beautiful! :thumbsup2 However, I always get the itch to switch and upgrade back to a Deluxe. I love being on the monorail or over on the Epcot side. The convenience is just unbeatable. Kuddos to you if you can make it happen! Saving money is never a bad thing. :thumbsup2

Wookie: Best. Change. EVERrrrrrr. :goodvibes

I_Heart: Hmmm, I need to start thinking about that. Only 269 days to go! :lmao: Probably recycle one of the old ones for us old folk and not sure about Miss M. :scratchin I was contemplating going on two party nights. Is that insane? I think we'll try to eek out a holiday season trip from our no-expire tickets and go again in January. :upsidedow

2 parties. :dance3: Not insane. Awesome. Even moreso if it helps to get that Holiday trip in. I'm thinking we will be needing to get that one last hurrah out of our APs which exprire 1/4/14 so maybe we can be resort buddies again. :goodvibes

I tried messing around more as I really believe you can save more then that. I found this page on Mousesavers where you can still see the WDW prices for NE.

http://www.mousesavers.com/disney-world-magic-your-way-ticket-price-chart/

I started looking at it a bit and I noticed that 8 day ph/wpfm/ne would be 2789.85. They would have a full gate value of 3094.89 which is more then the cost of APs, but still seems like it nets you the highest savings since you wouldn't have to pay anything else to upgrade. The savings would be about $267 for these.

Anyway, have fun messing around with it. Also, one thing I thought about was that you don't have to buy the same tickets for kids and adults. The kids seem like a no brainer at the 8 day ph/wpfm/ne as the credit you get is exactly the cost of an AP (611.31) but they only cost 553.95. The adults are the ones that push the value higher. If that makes any sense. Good luck!

Padawans - Did you buy your NE tix before the big ticket increase last year? That might be why your savings were so much higher.

Miss - I think traveling on your anniversary would be cool! Date night maybe?

Yes I bought them in June at the 2011 prices and upgraded them in September. It was a spur of the moment purchase when I saw the price increases.:scared: which of course led to a spur of the moment trip in September. I was originally planning on waiting to May of 2013 to buy Ap's again. If I would have waited I think I would have been facing two price increase before we returned. Mousesavers is reporting a ticket price increase in April.

Jen Disney is supposedly going to raise prices in April this year. The cost of your Ap's are unfortunately going to go up before your trip. I don't know if it would be worth waiting until the price increase to buy your tickets from UT. I think they may discount them more when the new ticket prices come out. I really don't know you might want to ask them. You might be better just buying Ap's if its a huge increase. I think you may get a 2 day warning on the the prices. :confused3

padawans - Wow April for an increase. That's early. :sad2:

Yeah I forgot all about that when we were helping Jen. UT is also reporting a price rise coming sooner than normal. They don't give a date, but mousesavers has been saying April. Mousesavers has always been accurate in the past.

Chiming in on the UT tix... used them once and since I ordered them at the last minute ... story of my life...:rolleyes1 we went and picked them up... really easy, they are located near Universal, and since we also including Universal for the vacation is was super easy!

So DH just told me he might not want to go in Nov .... he'd rather have new skis!!! :confused3 So any of you that might be going that week looks like it might just be DD and me! :rotfl2:

Me! Me! (and Sam for sure:))

I feel the same way today.

I called and got our ressie changed. We are now booked in a BC GV room 9/9-9/14. I just keep getting more and more excited about the BC!! I have been flipping though pictures and September can not get here soon enough!!

Wookie, GREAT NEWS!! Happy that you added that extra day! :cool1:

]Oh and I finally got my Disney app to work right. I was doing it wrong. I was adding my resort reservation number in where you are supposed to link dining ADRs. It's amazing how much better stuff will work, if you just use it right.

:rotfl2:

Even though we're supposed to be in "frugal" mode and treating the credit card in a humane fashion, I figured that it's best to make the deposit now, right? Like that rationale, don't ya?

October 26th - 30th, Hubster's 40th spent with Mickey and Co. all gussied up for Halloween. I went with the CR Garden Wing (Garden View). Chickened out on the Deluxe because I'm a weirdo.

Miss, I'm with you about the bed...would feel the same way with a young'n like Miss M. :goodvibes

Frugal has its time.... birthdays and and a big one at that... not the time for pinching pennies....:flower3:

We started going to Disney when my oldest was 3, the boys are now 19 and 15. We first stayed CR because we could walk to MK, they then tore that wing down to build BLT and we stayed one more time in the other wing. We then moved over to GF-my husband always wanted to stay there- and this trip will be our third time there. At T'giving we stayed at WL because of the GF construction. As much as we enjoy walking from HS to Epcot, I don't think I could ever leave the MK area. Just my thoughts :)

We love the MK area as well. :goodvibes

Go for TWO! And let me know if you come up with some great (and no fuss) Halloween costumes!

Hmmm....maybe to save all the hassle, I will just order then off the website. I had to disappear for a bit to rush outside and try and shovel before DH got home!! Have to make it look like I did something today!!!;)

If we were planning on PH for both trips, this 5 day and Nov. 5 day, the AP Still saves us money. (almost $300) And I think the possibility of another trip is very likely!

We actually intend to spend 1 day at MK, 1 ak, 1 HS then 2 at Epcot this year and 1 day resort/dtd. So epcot area would be best. We loved WL but can't stay there now due to 2 yo becoming 3 unless we want to pay for cl and we don't.

Glad i'm not the only one, our first stay was supposed to be at POR but then i upgraded to WL about 3 weeks before the trip and surprised the family. Haven't been able to stay non deluxe since. :rotfl:

That's great Wookie! I think you are gonna fall in love with BC! :goodvibes

Wookie: Best. Change. EVERrrrrrr. :goodvibes

Wookie, GREAT NEWS!! Happy that you added that extra day! :cool1:

Thanks!! I can't wait to stay at the BC. Even JM is super excited about the stay. At first when I showed him the resort he got sad, and then he goes, "wait, is this the one with the lazy river attached to the huge pool?" When I said yes, he literally went " woo hoo!!"

It's very hard to say if buying through UT will save you money with the price increase coming. It did for me even with the price increase. It was even cheaper than the renewal price, but like I said before I bought the non-exp that were discounted 85.00 a ticket. I think I just got really lucky. The first time we bought AP's I just bought the vouchers through WDW. The nice thing about having the vouchers is you can access the AP site if you want to make changes. It might be less of a hassle for you.

I cancelled my reservation on Tuesday morning the money is back on my cc tonight...all except the 200.00 deposit, and I expect that on Monday. I don't know how many payments you made, but they will refund it one payment at a time. Hopefully it will all be back in your account within a week.

Why not try one of the Epcot resorts. They are a little easier on the pocket book. Poly was our favorite, but as our kids get older 8 and 10 now we prefer the Epcot area. Your kids are still very young, but I think they would enjoy the pools and the entertainment on the BW. It's a lot easier to keep your eyes on your kids at the BW pool, but BC/YC has the nice sand bar that kids love. Your definitely not the only one that only stays deluxe. I made it 1 hour at Pofq before switching to AKL. I do like CSR it has a more deluxe feel to me, and it has the amenities of a deluxe.

Well...here is my update. DH and I have talked my 'idea' over, and he thinks the kids will be too pooped for us to think about park hopping. And he reminded me the whole reason for us upgrading from POR to BC was so that we could spend time there enjoying the pool, and now CL too. I do see his point.

And he also reminded me that we want to do DL next year, and California, maybe Alaska cruise...who knows??

So, we may wait and decide when we are there. I know there is a bit more of a savings on the room if we do it now though. I really do appreciate all of your help today, it was a lot of fun going back and forth with you all. Much love....:grouphug:

It is always fun to play- especially on a snowy day. I guess we always have park hopped because we go to one in the am, stay until lunch, go back to the resort and hang out -nap, swim- and the go to a different park after dinner. I guess that's just us :). Have a great night!

Sounds amazing, maybe when our girls are a little bit older they can handle it better. (i.e. no meltdowns when tired!:headache:) :)

I bet if we looked back at many of my posts here I am always coming up with something that sounds 'great'!!! But then I come back with my anti-climatic ending...booo!!!

No worries! Messing around with other people's trips keeps me from messing with mine :rotfl: Your 2014 ideas sound pretty awesome! :thumbsup2

Well you certainly gave me lots of info for when I need it! The power of the RC ladies to answer questions is awesome! And we will use it for sure someday! :flower3:

How adorable this is cutie!!!!

This is exactly what we do!!! We love hoppers!!!

Well, we are buried up to over my knees....I'm only 5'3" so that doesn't take much :lmao: but, we have very close to, if not over 2 feet, and it's still coming down....

Glad we are all home, and warm and just watching it come down. We're going to make a big breakfast and enjoy the lazy day that has been forced upon us! :woohoo:

Oh, for those in the income tax return watch....I had filed on 2/4. The IRS has approved my return and it will be deposited into my account on 2/13. Very quick turnaround. Haven't decided what I am doing with it yet, thinking of booking my 2014 trip.....which by the way....has evolved....back into a Disney trip (sort of). Now we are thinking of Feb 4 night Disney cruise, followed by 4-5 nights at Poly. :cloud9:
