Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

Thanks for reminding me to take pictures of his sword. I may have a good chance to take them this evening since he has a benefit concert tonight and I'm not going...$178.00 a ticket! Yikes!

I bet Hunter would have gotten a kick out of seeing the replica of Queen Elizabeth's father's sword. That's cool!

They have swords in the United Kingdom at Epcot but they were super expensive so we've never looked at them very closely.

I think it was like $2000 dollars and the main reason why it stood out to me was it had the motto of the royal family on it. "Dieu et mon droit" which is french for "God and My Right".

Sounds just like Skip's family

It doesn't do any good trying to explain why we love Disney so much. It's like arguing with a fence post. :lmao:

Wow! $2,000! :scared: Hunter gets some pretty good Christmas and birthday money but not that much! :rotfl:

I hurt my butt! You wanna kiss my butt?

Once the excitement of seeing a live snake in the middle of Mouse Gears wore off, the crowds filtered out and we followed suit. We had done a lot that day but we still had one thing to do. Take jumping pictures! For many years, we have taken either jumping or dancing pictures or sometimes both. One year, I was chosen to jam with Mulch, Sweat & Shears and it inspired hte title of that year’s trip report: Jumpin’, Dancin’ and Jammin’ Our Way Around Disney World! :cool1:

Annnnyway, I wanted to get jumping pictures before we left the park. Now, I don’t know if ya’ll have ever tried taking jumping pictures before but, let me tell you, they are hard to capture on film, well, memory card but you know what I mean. There’s a fine art to it and it takes some time to get just the right shot. IF you can ever get “just the right shot”. :sad2: This time, it seemed like we were never going to get a good picture.

I decided to started things off.

Not good enough. Let’s try again! Oh my word! I look like a nut job but, hey, I got some height on it! :thumbsup2

Hunter was next. Ready, set!

Go!

DSCF3970.jpg

Boo ya! That’s how you do it baby! :cheer2:

Next up was Lacey who usually does the best jumping pictures evah! :goodvibes

DSCF3977.jpg

Eeeh, this time, not so much. Try it one more time!

DSCF3978.jpg

Okie dokie, let’s move on. Jesse, you give it a try! ::yes::

DSCF3981.jpg

I’m sorry but I gotta give Jesse the buzzer! Poor thing, he tried it at least three times and this was the best that I got. He may have actually been a bit embarrassed by this point because we had a few people watching us. For John, Lacey, Hunter and I, we were used to it and didn’t care. But you gotta remember, this was Jesse’s first time traveling to Disney with us.

**Continued in next post

John told everybody to stand back and watch the jumping pro!

DSCF3979.jpg

See how perfectly streamlined his body looks? Sort of like a graceful gazelle! Well, the graceful gazelle somehow stumbled when he came back down and he fell backwards into the flower bed and came up with a silly look on his face and a “ooooohhhhh!” coming out of his mouth:

DSCF3980.jpg

We were laughing our behinds off at him as he was tippy toeing around after getting up :rotfl2::

Seems Mr. McBride had fallen on a plant with a sticker of some sort:

DSCF3984.jpg

This is when he uttered, “I hurt my butt! You wanna kiss my butt?” (Remember that video a long time ago of the little girl who fell off her bike, was crying because she hurt her butt?)

I’m sorry but we were all laughing like crazy at John and his antics. He’s like a walking accident waiting to happen. :p While John went to the men’s room to see what was poking him on the behind, Lacey asked that I take a picture of her and Jesse:

I snapped a few more while waiting on John:

We saw John coming out of the men’s room so we went to meet him and, in my true...I don’t want to leave yet...fashion, I lingered and took more pictures:

Realizing that we just could stay in the park any longer, we walked slowly to the exit. This was our last day at Epcot and we wouldn’t be back until 2013! Bye Epcot! :wave2:

**Up next: Aruba, Jamaica! Oooh I wanna take ya!

How come no picture of John laying in the flower bed? What I always tell my kids is God punishes us when we brag too much! Love the picture of Hunter holing up the globe. I have one of my Grandson Cody doing that.

It's all fun and games until someone's butt gets hurt!

:lmao:

Nice update! If I tried to get my DD to do a jumping picture, she would try to crawl in a hole and hide. Oh well, maybe the younger one will be more adventurous.

I am sitting here about doing you know what in my pants (another of your TR titles). :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Oh my...only John.

I love how you guys pay no heed to whether people are looking at you strangely and doing your jumping and/or dancing pictures.

A fun update, Lisa.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Great jumping pictures! Poor John. He seems like a good sport though. I sure hope his butt healed quickly. :rotfl2:

I love the jumping pictures! I think they look good, as I know how hard it can be to get a shot like that, timing is everything!!

Poor John, but I can't help but crack up at the pictures and description of what happened. :rotfl2:

John was so sure that he'd get THE best jumping picture. Poor thing busted his behind!

okay so part of me is sad that it's over but part of me is extatic because May's just around the corner!!!!!!!

Oh it's not over yet. We still have one more Disney day! Magic Kingdom!

Had I not been laughing so hard, I would have tried to get a picture of John all sprawled out in the flower bed. It was hilarious!

Send your kids on a trip with us and they'd either come back severely traumatized or will have learned to let loose! :rotfl:

It's funny 'cause at home, John doesn't like attention called to himself. But, when we are at Disney, he acts like a little kid! And I love it!

Falling in the plant is so something my 18 year old would do. Hilarious!

Well, my 46 year old did it too! Yep, I'm talking about John.:lmao:

OMG I think I would have passed out if I saw that snake! Add me to the list of those afraid of snakes, bugs, etc. :scared1: I once had a cricket on the wall in my room RIGHT above my bed (I think I was about 14 or 15) and I tried to be brave and smack it with my shoe and it disappeared! I looked and couldn't find where it went, I don't think I hit it because there was no... evidence, shall we say? on the shoe or wall. I screamed and my dad and brother came rushing in and they looked all over, under the bed, etc and couldn't find it wither. Well I wasn't about to sleep in that room that night!! I slept on a mattress on the floor in my parents room for about 3 or 4 days before I could be convinced it was gone.

The jumping pics look like fun! I don't think I could get my DH to do that, unfortunately. Of course I would be the one to fall in the flower bed, though. :rolleyes1

All caught up!!! Whew! I was a bit behind (I'd say I was a little behind, but then people might talk -or call me a fibber :rotfl2:) Loved all the fun jumping photos, and you are right!! They are not as easy to get as they look. Between timing and blurry photos. :faint:
I don't know what I'd have done if I'd seen that snake while I shopped! :scared: It sure didn't look like it was a harmless one. Not that I'd ever know the difference. I'd probably have jumped onto the tables.
We saw them when we were walking around CSR crossing the sidewalks, so I know they are there, but sort of different when they are outside.
Convinced me I NEVER want a ground floor room ever again!
Can't wait to read more!

:rotfl: now that is having a great time! I hope John's butt survived the fall
Kadence fell off her bike summer before last and scratched the heck out of one side of her butt and she told me to kiss it too! LOL

Jumping photos are hard to get just right! Usually it looks pretty darn awkward. I did get a good one of Kadence at DTD!
