I'll gladly trade my shovel for a Sunken Treasure and a Lobster roll...Think i'm about 73 days out now. :cool1:

Hi! My daughter and I will be at the YC in August & my husband and I may be there in March for our 25th wedding anniversary celebration. (I say "may" because he has booked the trip with the help of our travel agent and is surprising me with all the details other than the dates. I know we are staying on site & I think it might be the YC, but we shall see!) Nevertheless, we stayed at the YC back in 2011 and enjoyed it very much. One thing we never got around to figuring out though is where we can grab a quick bite for breakfast there at the resort. We ended up eating something in the parks each morning & on our check-out day hoofed it over to the BC. In reading the first post in this thread, it looks like the Ale & Compass sets up for a continental type breakfast. Correct? It was listed as TBA whether or not a DDP snack credit could be used. Anyone have any experience with using snack credits there? Please forgive me if this has already been asked & answered!

:welcome:

I will add you to the Be Our Guest list for the trip with your daughter in August.

:cool1:

When will you find out about where you are staying for your anniversary? When you arrive?

I don't think we have had a definitive answer about using snack credits at Ale & Compass in the morning. I suspect you can use them, but I don't think anyone has confirmed.

Hi, all. I'm new to this thread, and I just scanned through the last 40 or so pages (wow, you all are a prolific bunch). My family and I will be at BCV for the first time Mar 20-24.

I've seen some discussion here about the upcoming MyMagic+ system. Someone asked if there was anything about it in the online check-in process. At this point, no there isn't. The only mention was in the Terms and Conditions at the end with a reference about using your KTTW card or MagicBand to enter your room.

If anyone's interested, or maybe having trouble with it... I'm maintaining a thread to discuss updates to the features of the My Disney Experience website and mobile apps. Come and visit if you like... Navigating the My Disney Experience Web Site and App

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

:woohoo:

Thanks for the hard work on your MDE thread.

Just booked BC for August 15-24!!! :cool1:

Looking forward to getting back to the BC. Had to book a little later in the summer but we are able to get it in right before school starts back up.

:welcome: back!!!

I'll add you to the list.

Add us to the list!!! :cool1:

BC Aug 24 - 30th

It will be our first time staying at the BC. Can't wait -- only 197 days to go!

:welcome:

Will do!

:woohoo:

My last trip was to the YC 8 months ago and the Magic Express stopped in this order, CBR then Boardwalk, BC, YC. The DME does not go to swan or dolphin. We got off at the boardwalk because we were starving and it was only 12N.

:welcome: to the DIS and this thread!

:wave2: Another one from Somerset County, south end, Montgomery Township. Too funny so many of us!

AAAHHH Montgomery Township...I'm at Montgomery HS every Monday night for GPYO, as well as down there for Cougar Relays, county championships, soccer playoffs, etc. etc..If I knew then what I know now I think we would've moved down there and skipped the lovely Rt 206 commute :(

Hi.. quick question: What is the current line of H2O toiletries at the BC?

Last time I was CSR, I bough DH a large size of the H20 shampoo they have on DCL - I think it is Sea Marine (it's green). I was so happy to see it at the gift shop at my resort, especially since it wasn't the same as the kind that Mousekeeping leaves in the rooms.:)

Last time I knew there was a switchover happening to the grapefruit stuff. For those who have been there recently, have you seen the blue stuff or is it all grapefruit now?

If you stayed in January, please post which resort, CL or standard room and which product was provided.

Thanks!

If anyone has a picture of the new stuff, I would appreciate it.

Pixarmom: Thanks so much for sharing your pics....it's just what I needed this morning!

Pixarmom & Dee: I know you recommend doing a day trip to Uniersal (cab would be so easy I am sure), but in terms of crowds and not having front of the line access during the month of July, would you still so go for it?? or would it be best to plan a seperate trip for Universal and stay onsite?

To all the newbies onboard: Welcome!!! It's so nice to "see" new faces!!

End of July, huh? Staying on site would be really helpful, both for early entry to Harry Potterland and Front of the Line access. You get FOTL access on the day you check in and check out, so if you booked the room either at the beginning or end of your Disney stay, you could do a couple of days (or half-days).

The problem is trying to book the whole thing economically. I know. We are trying! Combining a Disney/Dark Side trip is proving to be very difficult for my family, but my teen has turned into a thrill junkie and the rest of us are Potterheads, so we really want to revisit IoA/US on our next trip.

Was that seriously part of the view from your balcony?

Shut. UP!

For everyone who is snowbound this morning and looking for a tropical distraction...

I have reposted Teena's cruise pictures on the Princess Lily goes Live thread.

You can click on the link in my signature.

Teena- when are you working this weekend?

Thanks Dee for posting the pics.

I'm Sunday and Monday this week. Off to the doctor in a few minutes. My head cold has turned into a sinus infection. My eyes and teeth hurt bad. Time for some antibiotics I'm afraid.

Pretty much all the school districts have closed around us, but we are closing early which is great since my kids are elementary and that means only 5 minutes early for them. They are last on the early dismissal list. :cool1: Flurries just started this morning and it won't get bad till this evening, no reason to close the schools. But I have one home sick.

Yes are totals keep changing too. They have no idea!

We will be at the pool :beach: every afternoon, my boys will be running up and down the slide non-stop and I will be sipping a Sunkin Treasure hopefully lounging now that they are old enough and strong swimmers enough for not to have to be waiting near the slide anymore!:thumbsup2

Thanx for the pics Pixarmom! Fabulous view, I cannot wait to wander around with my camera. I am looking forward to these "paths" you are creating as well so I can plan where I need to be sitting to lounge with my drink while the kids takeover the slide. I think they are old enough to manage it on their own even if it involves leaving the pool area briefly to get to the slide entrance.

I have a girl, 12 and a boy, 7. Both were fish in another life, so I expect we will be at the pool every afternoon too. With the exception of the day we visit the water park that is!

Just keep Shoveling, Just keep Shoveling, Just keep Shoveling, Shoveling, Shoveling :rolleyes1

Well wishes for everyone...i'll have my share singing/acting on the song above too. Come on April :thumbsup2

I work for the largest hospital in Boston and they have told all non-essential, non-patient care employees to stay home. That NEVER happens! That alone tells you what they are expecting with this storm.

Our home is right on the water so wish us luck! They are saying 60+ mph winds!!

I hear a lot of talk about Shulas & Il Mulino, and Bluezoo looks cool inside from online pics but I don't like seafood!

Are you getting close in time to schedule your ADRs? Any set places you know for sure? I know I want to try BOG.

Yes, we want to try all the places around the Boardwalk and The Fountain in Dolphin, and of course return to some Favs like B&C, & Captains Grille. Depending on my flight times I want to try their breakfast too. Also want Sci Fi & GF Tea. We did the tea last Aug and enjoyed it. But my friend & I booked it as a surprise for my daughter, who got sick and didn't come :(

My wife is an RN at a Syracuse hospital. I had to drive her in this morning. She brought an additional set of clothes incase she gets stuck there this evening. Apparently, This storm will be something else!

Last Aug we stayed at AKL CL. We had the grapefruit shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soaps & lotion. Plus toothbrush, and I think mouthwash?

On Sunday we returned form POFQ and had the orange scented separate shampoos & conditioners with cute mouse ears on the cap. And soaps.
I wish the had the mouse ears on the grapefruit stuff too!

P.S. We were originally scheduled to spend our last two nights at AKL-Jambo, but could not leave CL at BWI or the Epcot resort area. So we switched our last two nights and continued our BWI stay instead. We were so happy with our decision, and we hope all of you with upcoming stays in the Epcot resort area love it as much as we do!!!

So glad you had an awesome trip. I loved teh pics especially the one of teh wine glass with the YC as the backdrop:thumbsup2

Couchy,

We're like twins! I learn new stuff on the Dis & want to tell DH. I get a lot of eye rolls & questions like "is this about Disney?" It's nice to have my Disney chat filled here! Disney is like my crack....:lmao:

Angeejoe

Yes, I need someone to talk to .My DH is glad to not have me bug him so much:rotfl:

I have to temper my Disney talk at home. In his words " I don't mind talking Disney, I just want to talk about other things as well" :confused3

I now make sure I only bring it once and a while. It is hard ...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Me Three!!!! My DH rolls his eyes everytime ;) And, just who will he be thanking when he has a magical :wizard: time? Oh yeah, that would be me :woohoo: because of all my wonderful Dis Friends

yes, and this thread is a perfect outlet for those of us deprived of Disney talk at home :rotfl2:

Hope you fell better soon. Sinus infections are no fun:sad2:

Same here! DH is so tired of hearing about Disney, but I'm so excited I can't shut up about it! I really do try to tone it down a little. Of course I get to hear all about his things I have zero interest in and at least Disney he gets to be a part of and have a great time like you said thanks to my planning!

Lol, I almost griped about the drive down 206 to Montgomery in my post. Hated that drive every single time we went.

Well, the snow has been coming down here in NJ all morning. Only about an inch so far but I think we are supposed to get a foot where we are. Of course all three boys are sick and I'm pretty sure one is going to need a trip to the doctors today. Somehow it's always a weekend or snow day, etc. when they need to be seen. Hopefully we'll get in before the roads are too terrible.

My four year old by the way thinks it is hysterical that this storm is named Nemo. He got quite the kick out of that.

Stay warm all my Northeastern friends!
