We are staying at the BC. It will be our first time at a deluxe. Stayed at the Caribbean beach about 3 years ago, thought it was nice, but not enough room for 3 adults and a kiddo. Surprising DH with club level! Everyone here convinced my it was worth it! How many times have you stayed at BC? What's your favorite part about it?

Melissa

FUN!!! Club level is really well worth the extra $$! I've never stayed at BC I have stayed at YC 4 times now. I love the resort... my favorite things are SAB just an amazing pool for any age. I love the walk to EPCOT and all the dinning options that are right there. As it has been said by Dee on many occasions quick services are right there just a 5 min walk away and you can get it to go and bring back to the pool! The whole area is great with so much to do! Just remember one thing... once you go club level it's hard to go back!!

The days will pass quickly and you will be there before you know it!! Have fun reading and learning all that the YC/BC area has to offer!!

We live in KS :wave2: My DH is a KSU grad and I'm from Oklahoma so no KU fans here ~ although, we only live 20 miles from Lawrence. One of our sons was briefly a KU fan when the little girl he had a crush on in Sunday School was a Jayhawk fan. Thankfully she moved to FL so we got him over that faze fast! :)

My cousin was the defensive coordinator for Turner Gill (2010-2011) for the KU football team. They were let go and are both at Liberty University in VA!!

Hello fellow Midwesterner! That's funny!! :). You are close to Lawrence! My DH was born and raised here so he's a die hard KU fan and would probably be thinking the same thing if our son had a crush on a girl who was a K-state fan!

My DMIL lives in Lawrence, KS! :rotfl:

Thanks for the helpful replies. I think that we will just take the luggage with us when we transfer to and from POP. When we make the change from BCV to BC, if the room is ready we will just take our luggage to the BC lobby and have a bellman take it up for us. IF the room isn't ready we will send it to Bell services and call them when we will be in the BC room to retrieve it.

Did I get this right?

Thanks again.

We are doing our first CL stay soon, and that's exactly what I said! I was like, I don't think we are going to be able to go back after this! Lol. CL will be so worth it, and I'm pumped to try it at YC!

I also have a feeling YC will be my new fave! The pics online are so darn pretty!!

@mopp22, I have never been to WL so I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but I think the biggest difference will be the location! Epcot a walk away, and DHS a short boat ride. So great!

And living in NY, looks like I won't be able to make it to work tomorrow night! Not braving that storm with a 12 year old civic! :lmao:

We stayed CL at WL in July and were hooked. Our 1st YC CL stay is in 70 days!! :woohoo:

Yes I remember that storm... I believe it was January. My daughter was having a birthday slumber party! It was the first time they closed the public schools in a very very very long time! We knew her school would be closed but her friends were like they never close the public schools and low and behold they did!!

Yes you're exactly right! Schools & Manhattan & surrounding cities, the airport cxed everything & I was upset because I wanted to go home. I had never in my life seen so much freaking snow, that was an experience. Nice experience to see the hustle & bustle of Manhattan--- then a few days later, like a ghost town! Good times, Good times!!

DH & I have been looking into DVC (ok mostly me, :rotfl2:), and have been in contact w/ DVC. We watched the DVD & read over the paperwork. I'd really like BCV. So DH & I had long talk about it today & he said "I like staying at BC/YC only.". DH loves the water view & at BCV no crescent lake view! I wish they put it in another spot! DH would rather pay more for the view, whereas I truly do love the view, but want to go more often. I know you can stay in the hotel using DVC, but it's so many points! I love how DH is standing up for BC/YC though, so cute! I'm not really looking for any real advice, its just i love talking Disney which drives DH nuts :scared1:, so it's nice to have a group of Disney lovers to gab with! I'm just missing my BC/YC! Thanks for listening to my rant! :lmao:

Could someone tell me how long it should take to drive to DTD from the BC? I'm trying to make a lunch reservation at T Rex for my 4 year old and plan to go after he gets back from the Albatross Cruise, but I'm not sure how much time I should give ourselves.

Thanks!

You got that right. I'm not sure if you will have a car or not, but if you don't, you will have to take a cab. You aren't allowed to take your luggage on Disney transportation. You probably already knew that, but I figured I would point that for anyone else that might be reading.

I will be SO amused if there is like a "poof" of white stuff here in NY. Everyone is preparing for the Apocalypse:furious:. Hehehehe. Meanwhile I'll be dreaming of my beloved...:cloud9: T-93 days...:hourglass Sigh...:coffee:

Everyone everywhere stay safe!!!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

We stayed at BCV for the first time in October (we own at BWV and BLT) and had a wonderful studio that overlooked to DVC pool. It was lovely. And I was able to get my fill of that gorgeous view of Crescent Lake while lounging at SAB.

My fiance and I really liked the fact that the villas were set back from the main building, they were more quiet and tranquil than BC. YMMV, but I'd encourage you and your husband to plan a weekend trip where you rent points at BCV to get a feel for what it's like to stay there. Maybe your DH will surprise you and love it!

It should take about 10-15 minutes to drive from BC to DTD (depending on traffic and lights), the real time suck can be finding a parking spot. I'd leave BC about a half-hour or 45 minutes before your ADR. Enjoy!

Hi.. quick question: What is the current line of H2O toiletries at the BC?

Last time I was CSR, I bough DH a large size of the H20 shampoo they have on DCL - I think it is Sea Marine (it's green). I was so happy to see it at the gift shop at my resort, especially since it wasn't the same as the kind that Mousekeeping leaves in the rooms.:)

Let us know when you book a trip. Are you looking at this summer or next?

Dee

Hi Dee!! We are looking to book a trip this summer. I just put some requests out for quotes from TAs (for the first time...eeekkkk) and I'm just waiting to hear back!

So today, I was fiddling around with the disney website and i put in my march dates for the beach club...and the garden view club level is booked solid! :crazy2:

How many garden view club level rooms does the beach club offer?

We are heading to the BC for the first time in 16 days!!! So excited! We usually stay at the Wilderness Lodge and have always loved it there, but for this trip we wanted to try something different. I am really looking forward to being able to walk to Epcot, and the kids can't wait to swim. Has anyone else been to both WL and BC and can offer advice as to what differences we should expect? Thanks!

We always stayed at WL and loved it, but I decided to branch out last year and we tried BC - loved it so much that it is now tied with WL for our favorite WDW resort! Besides the wonderful pool and having EP literally right outside your back door, the bigger rooms, daybeds (if you are lucky enough to get one - we were on our last trip!), and bright atmosphere were some of my favorite differences. Oh, and I loved that they had flavored syrups for the coffee out for anyone to use in the BC Marketplace. Compared to the WL, the BC seemed a little more "maze-like", but after a day or two I was able to navigate my way around without leaving a trail of breadcrumbs in case I got lost ;). Also, I love that at WL, I am guaranteed to have a full balcony and that there is quite a bit more seating at Roaring Fork than anywhere around the BC Marketplace. WL also has a much more peaceful atmosphere, but at BC I always feel like I am right in the middle of all the action - there is so much to do in that area! I honestly can't tell you which resort I prefer because they both have such different and great attributes. After this trip you might be just as torn as I am!

I liked your suggestion Missyrose, so I told DH. DH seems to be open to this possibility. I suggested to DH about maybe arrive to BCV for a couple days to try & then trans to BC/YC for remainder of trip with crescent lake view. I want to leave now :rotfl2:.......lol!

Thanks for the info. I did know about the Disney transportation thing. We will take a cab, while our daughter's family will be driving, so we will be doing it both ways!!! Thanks for the help.
