Yay for MVMCP! Sounds like you had a good start so far.

I completely feel your pain on the new Photobucket, as I hate it! It freezes up constantly on me and is just not very user-friendly at all!

I am glad you showed some pictUres at MVMCP. I am trying to decide if we should do it next Dec. I am worried if the kids will be too tired. I know the 12 yr old will be ok but not sure about the 5 yr old. How was the parade? And was the park real Crowded?

some more fun photos! the decorations are so pretty!!! can't wait to do the party!!

Sounds like you were off to a good start at the party! I have to live vicariously through holiday TRs to enjoy the decorations, so thanks for all the photos. :thumbsup2

Aaah, the excitement of a Disney party! I sure missed seeing the Christmas decorations this year, but they will be that much more exciting 10 1/2 months from now. :santa:

Decembrr92012Part2032.jpg

I like this one. I'd like to see the kids' faces on the pictures he got of them. Makes me wonder if this might have been their first Big Thunder ride. :goodvibes

So Kathy...I've decided Des can be a beauty on The Price is Right!! In between WDW trips of course :goodvibes Yay for MVMCP!! As you know we didn't love it...but I'll attempt a redo when the kids watch parades instead of riding BTMRR3-4 times in a row ;)

Yay, it's party time!

The decorations and extra lights look beautiful.

You got lots of rides in in what seems a short time. Were the lines really short?

HI! I am a general lurker here reading TRs and enjoying every single one. I normally only post when the report is complete to thank the poster but I had to post while I was in the middle of reading.

First, your family is so adorable! Your husband is so completely into the Disney state of mind and I think that is awesome! My DH is also into Disney and your TR gives me the hope that it won't change!

Second, I have the mindset that in this big Disney community if two people share the same newscast then they are neighbors. Well....I live in Palos Heights (a SW suburb of Chicago)! So nice to meet ya neighbor!

I am going to go back to reading now! Thank your for sharing!

Lisa

And what does one do AFTER they ride Pirates? Well, they have a sword fight of course
Naturally... :rolleyes: :lmao::rotfl: :rotfl2:

Great start to the Christmas Party!!! I loved all the little extra touches they add to the park for it. The projections around the park really are neat to see!

Great updates!! Love all of the hat pictures as usual :)

Congrats on your SB winnings!!

I can't wait to try Teppan Edo....I love places like that! Sorry it was your last meal with Nicki and Todd :( goodbyes are too hard.

I'm still waiting to hear what you thought of MVMCP... :rolleyes1

You know, I'm sure Mark doesn't think I'm crazy. He seems to have just as much 'fun' as I do! :lmao::lmao:

Isn't the MK all decked out for Christmas just awesome? :santa:

After the kids swam, we packed and rested a little, we all got ready to head over to the Magic Kingdom. We walked to El Centro as I wanted a cup of coffee. A stroll to the main building:

Decembrr92012Part2001.jpg

These two really seem like they enjoy each other.:goodvibes

Isn't that just beautiful:

::yes::

And what does one do AFTER they ride Pirates? Well, they have a sword fight of course:

I'm pretty sure that's a requirement written on the back of your ticket.

This is an amazing report. I feel like i am walking right with you!!!
The MVMCP was my favorite!!! Besides the Osbourn lights of course!!!
your shirts are THE BEST!!! so sorry they had to leave...

I can't believe there are empty seats in the Big Thunder Mountain train! Wow!

A sword fight is always fun. ;)

Ok seriously, do Andy and Des ever look NOT happy? They are just too cute. Sorry for the screeching child at dinner, glad it subsided, that is painful in an enclosed space like that.

Oh trust me...they have their moments. Especially when he is doing too much baseball and not spending enough time with her. They have now designated Wednesday night as "date night" for during the week and he can't work at baseball after 7 p.m. I just don't understand why people can't step out for a moment with the child in question and try to calm him/her down.

So sorry it was your last meal for that trip with Nicki and Todd but hopefully the party eased the pain, it looks like a good time is being had so far!

The party helped to ease our missing them because we were so busy.

I feel your pain on photobucket. I upgraded to pro a long time ago so haven't had issues in years and right now, between the organizer not working at all, being forced into the new site when I'd opted out as they old editor is gone and then finding out the new editor isn't nearly as good I am NOT happy!

Seriously, I want the old photobucket back. I don't like editing (and I do very little of it) and it's a pain if my picture is sideways to turn it around.

The invites are darling but why are you doing them? Isn't that a MOB duty? Or is each side sending out their own?

Alisha has terrible handwriting and had planned on using labels for them. I told her she could not do that (it was okay for the Save the Date cards), so me...being the wonderful future mother-in-law that I am, offered to write the envelopes out.

Playing catch up here. I have no idea how work has gotten to be so much ......work lately. :rotfl2:

When you figure it out would you let me know?

EPCOT and Teppan Edo - yum. Always enjoy it

I really enjoyed Teppan Edo.

The Koi pond and the Hidden Mickey :thumbsup2

Caught that one for our mutual friend, Marv.

I do love CSR- so pretty.

It really is a pretty resort.

I need to make it to a Christmas party too. Still on my to - do list.
Well won't get done this year either- going too late. :worried:

Aren't you going again soon?

Sounds like you got some nice rides in - looking forward to the rest of the night.

We got quite a bit done in the short time we'd been there with lots more to come.

I love the silly hat pictures from Epcot :)

Thank you.

Yay MVMCP! I love the pictures of the guys having a sword fight after POTC! Having fun is what WDW is all about.

Mark will find anyone to have a sword fight with after riding POTC!

I'm not a fan of the new photobucket either. And now I have no storage space for new trips!

It's driving me crazy!

Des really seems to be a Disney Fan, which in your family is a definate plus !!!!!!MK looks awesome bedecked for Christmas !!! Love the Kid at heart playing the drums !!!!! I just know he would Pole Dance with me !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Des is a big Disney fan (she texted me a little bit ago for dinner suggestions not in one of the parks, but at a resort). He is a kid at heart, isn't he? And trust me, Rosie, he WOULD pole dance with you.

Yay for MVMCP! Sounds like you had a good start so far.

It was a good start and it got better.

I completely feel your pain on the new Photobucket, as I hate it! It freezes up constantly on me and is just not very user-friendly at all!

I don't know why they can't leave things alone or give us the option of which version we want to use.

I am glad you showed some pictUres at MVMCP. I am trying to decide if we should do it next Dec. I am worried if the kids will be too tired. I know the 12 yr old will be ok but not sure about the 5 yr old. How was the parade? And was the park real Crowded?

Oh yes...you should definitely do it. I would just take a break in the afternoon and I think the 5 year old will be fine; just tell the 5 year old there are cookies and hot cocoa and a dance party and he/she will be raring to go.

some more fun photos! the decorations are so pretty!!! can't wait to do the party!!

The decorations were gorgeous, and you and Megan are going to love the party.

Sounds like you were off to a good start at the party! I have to live vicariously through holiday TRs to enjoy the decorations, so thanks for all the photos. :thumbsup2

It was a good start; you and Maddie must do a Christmas trip one of these times. She would fall in love with the whole thing.

Aaah, the excitement of a Disney party! I sure missed seeing the Christmas decorations this year, but they will be that much more exciting 10 1/2 months from now. :santa:

What are your dates for December? I think we miss each other.

I like this one. I'd like to see the kids' faces on the pictures he got of them. Makes me wonder if this might have been their first Big Thunder ride. :goodvibes

I vividly remember that there was one kid who looked like she was scared to death...I'm definitely thinking first time.

Well, she lost her job, so she could apply. She is a poser. I know you weren't in love with the party; it really depends on the kids and whether or not they just want to concentrate on rides or partake in the other offerings. I think this is part of the reason we waited until AFTER the kids stopped going with us.

Yay, it's party time!

Nothing like a party to cheer one up.

The decorations and extra lights look beautiful.

They really were.

You got lots of rides in in what seems a short time. Were the lines really short?

It was a very short time and we walked onto everything this night (unlike the Halloween Party two years ago).

HI! I am a general lurker here reading TRs and enjoying every single one. I normally only post when the report is complete to thank the poster but I had to post while I was in the middle of reading.

Lisa, :welcome: Thank you for coming out of lurkdom and posting. :)

First, your family is so adorable! Your husband is so completely into the Disney state of mind and I think that is awesome! My DH is also into Disney and your TR gives me the hope that it won't change!

If it is possible, my husband's love of Disney has grown more so over the years. I have high hopes for your husband.

Second, I have the mindset that in this big Disney community if two people share the same newscast then they are neighbors. Well....I live in Palos Heights (a SW suburb of Chicago)! So nice to meet ya neighbor!

I'm very familiar with Palos Heights. An old friend used to live there with her parents; and we spent a lot of time in the SW suburbs from 5th grade through high school when our youngest son wrestled.

I am going to go back to reading now! Thank your for sharing!

Lisa

Thank you again for joining...I am delighted to have you here.

Naturally... :rolleyes: :lmao::rotfl: :rotfl2:

Didn't you have one with your son when you got off the ride? :confused3

Great start to the Christmas Party!!! I loved all the little extra touches they add to the park for it. The projections around the park really are neat to see!

The extra touches just made it all that more magical and probably had a lot to do with the fact that we booked again for this year.

Great updates!! Love all of the hat pictures as usual :)

Thanks, friend.

Congrats on your SB winnings!!

Very proud of myself...it went right in the Disney envelope.

I can't wait to try Teppan Edo....I love places like that! Sorry it was your last meal with Nicki and Todd :( goodbyes are too hard.

I'm glad after all these trips that we finally tried it. I'm sorry it was our last meal with them too.

I'm still waiting to hear what you thought of MVMCP... :rolleyes1

Well, since I just started the party night, I'm not going to reveal it until we're done with the party night (then maybe you'll come back more often)

You know, I'm sure Mark doesn't think I'm crazy. He seems to have just as much 'fun' as I do! :lmao::lmao:

Yes, he does; but he doesn't kneel on his front porch with a whip.

Isn't the MK all decked out for Christmas just awesome? :santa:

I knew it would be awesome, but I never expected it to be that awesome.

These two really seem like they enjoy each other.:goodvibes

Yes they do. We will see where it ends up.

I'm pretty sure that's a requirement written on the back of your ticket.

So that's where he found it? :rotfl2:

This is an amazing report. I feel like i am walking right with you!!!
The MVMCP was my favorite!!! Besides the Osbourn lights of course!!!
your shirts are THE BEST!!! so sorry they had to leave...

Awww....you are so sweet and I'm glad you feel that way. I really liked the party, but nothing will top the Osborne Lights. I'm glad you liked our shirts. Yes, I was sorry they had to leave us too.

I can't believe there are empty seats in the Big Thunder Mountain train! Wow!

A sword fight is always fun. ;)

It was really empty; I don't know if everyone was in line for cookies and cocoa or characters, but we walked onto everything!

The boy loves his toys.

When I left you, we were all hungry. The kids wanted to go to Gaston's Tavern and Mark and I were more hungry than that, so we went to Cosmic Rays.

Here is what the kids had:

Mark and I decided what we wanted and I sent him to find a table while I ordered our food.

We shared the turkey sandwich:

Mark got

And I had

We finished up our meal and texted Andy and it was decided that we would meet at It's A Small World since Mark and Des wanted to take that slow boat to China. Really? Can't we just skip it this year? Well, since we can't, I will make you all suffer right along with me with some pictures that I took and some of Des'.

There was no line for Peter Pan so we hopped over to ride that

Decembrr92012Part2192.jpg

After Peter Pan, we headed towards Tomorrowland. We were going to do the Tea Cups but for some reason they were shut down.

Des got this awesome picture as we were walking into Tomorrowland

And I got a picture of how you knew where you could get cookies and hot cocoa

Decembrr92012Part2093.jpg

The kids wanted to do Space Mountain and there was like a five minute wait. So they left the camera, purse and everything else they had with us and off they went (we had no desire to do this...Mark refuses since his neck surgery; I'll probably give in to the girls in June).

While we were waiting for them, I decided since I had not had dessert at dinner I would get some of this yummy stuff:

Continued in next post

While we were waiting for the kids there was a dance party going on and all the little ones were having a grand ole time.

Once the kids came back, we decided to go and find a spot for the castle show. It was packed already but we did find a great location where we knew that the rope would be moved once it started. And now I will just post pictures of the castle pictures and a few with the show for your viewing pleasure (we didn't get many with the show on it becasue of the tall guy in front of us--and this is a mixture of my pics and Des' pics and Andy's pics)

Ya'll really lucked up with the short wait times! I figured that they'd be much longer with it being a party night.

Oh the castle pictures! It's so pretty with all the lights on it! I wanna see it mommy! I really really do!:rotfl:
