Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your costumes...you all look great!

Wonderful shots of the parade and the Halloween decorations; I do love that time of the year.

Looks like you were all having a great time.

I just want to know: did you start, like, chewing, like, lots of, like, gum and saying, like, OMG! :rotfl2:

I loved your costumes! Kudos to Cynthia for the idea and putting them together. :thumbsup2

It looked like a lot of people went in-costume. Those people at the dock, dressed as ghosts, were awesome!

Great updates! Love the costumes! Adorable! How cool Cynthia came up with a idea for all 3 of you to do together.

She did a good job coming up with that costume, didn't she? ::yes:: It was a lot of fun!

Love the Parade and Party pics! Seeing the ones you, Jen and Carey are posting in the TR's makes me more and more convinced that I really need to go to the Halloween party. I am determined to go next fall so I will just have to make sure the dates fit with the party.

Well you have most of September, all of October, and maybe a few days in November. I'm not sure about that last part. It really is a great party. If you can figure out a way to do it, I say go for all it. You will not regret it!

Your costumes are ADORABLE!
I love it and now you make me want to go back and dress up better!
I love that parade. You got a ton of great pictures too. And just so you know, the cowboys are just eyecandy for us ladies. We need a little fun too, right! :rotfl2:

The cowboys are eye candy? :rotfl2: For eye candy I want a topless cowboy. :rotfl2: Dressing up was a lot of fun! I'm glad we did it. I would definitely dress up again in something that is easy to wear like that.

The meet and greet looks so fun. Poor Sheree is hidden in almost all the pictures!

We had a lot of fun meeting one another. We did seem to have a lot of trouble getting ourselves lined up, so I'm not really surprised that someone got buried. I didn't know whether to stand in front or in the back and then the girls grabbed my hands and the decision was made.

Oh my goodness, your costumes were too cute! I love that idea.

You can thank Cynthia for that. She did a great job master-minding the costume! It was comfortable except when the wig got a little itchy. :rotfl2:

Love your parade pictures! I would love to see that in person. I have to wonder about Peter Pan's knees, though... either that's a random sweaty area for him or he fell knee-first into a puddle! :lmao:

I absolutely love that parade. I think everyone needs to see it at least once. Really, really cute.

Too funny that you noticed that about Peter Pan. I totally missed that!

In DLR, they still have that ride. It is a bit of a challenge when you have a young child though... since everyone trying to coordinate their paddling can be a tad frustrating.

:rotfl2: I totally remember you writing about that now. And I remember how frustrated poor Zoe was getting.

I love the party updates! Your costumes for the party were too cute!

Thanks and thanks to Cynthia for figuring out the costumes! She did a great job!

I hate it when transportation doesn’t work out. Glad you at least got a good spot for the parade. And I am super jealous! One of the things I was most looking forward to at MNSSHP was the headless horseman. Alas... rain caused him to be a no show. :( However... that parade is my FAVORITE!!! I can’t wait to see it again! I am with you on the confusion about the cowboys. What do they have to do with Halloween?

Jen says that are the entertainment for the girls watching the parade, but I still don't get it! :confused3

We really should have left a little earlier for the party, but we were honestly hoping we'd get on the first boat over there. Of course, we had to wait for a third boat. :faint: Bad planning on our part.

Bummer you missed the headless horseman. That stinks. As you can see, I honestly barely saw him. He comes through so freakin' fast. I think you really need to be on a corner to see him come through,

I still have so much respect for you both to get up and exercise at Disney. :thumbsup2 You go girls!

PARTY!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

Omg I LOVE your costumes! So cute!
Some of those other party guests had great costumes too! I admit to not dressing up when I've gone, but I do love when others get right into it.
YAY for scoring a great parade spot!

I've never quite understood the purpose of the dancing cowboys in a Halloween parade

Omg, me either!! :confused3
Love your parade pictures!

The cowboys are eye candy? :rotfl2: For eye candy I want a topless cowboy. :rotfl2: Dressing up was a lot of fun! I'm glad we did it. I would definitely dress up again in something that is easy to wear like that.

Catching up during a rare moment at work with little that demands my immediate attention and almost choked. :lmao:
I need to invoke teh no drinking iced tea while reading rule. ::rotfl:

The song is Ghost riders in the sky. But the chicken clucking and cowboys???? Country song maybe??? I have no idea and I am grasping at straws.

You can thank Cynthia for that. She did a great job master-minding the costume! It was comfortable except when the wig got a little itchy. :rotfl2:

She did do a great job with the costumes and all the ordering and prep. Cynthia you are awesome!!! Thanks again.

Of course, we had to use up a little bit of our rum stores this afternoon!
Don't want to waste it, don't want to haul it around... :rotfl2:

I guess I won't keep you in suspense any longer. Say Hello to April, May, and June………….
Great costumes!!! :rotfl2::lmao:

It may have been these guys. I asked if I could take their picture because their costumes were so freaking awesome
Yeah, those are some impressive looking ghosts!

I think we had some costume competition across the way
Wow! And I thought it seemed like a unique idea!!! :rotfl:

Now look at that picture again and check out how the window shade in the building is pulled back. Creepy!

See - there is someone IN that window!
Ok... that is cool. I've got to get to a Halloween party sometime.

I loved all of the pictures of the parade and the park lit for the party. I really, really need to see that in person sometime.

Or humored Sheree when she made him look!
Well, either way, he agreed to go along with the cruise, so he must have liked what you had to say! :thumbsup2

MEK said:
:welcome: DWgal!!!!!!! How have you been???? Long time, no see! Thanks so much for joining in!

Been good, thanks!! Life has been crazy (for everyone, I know). I got all caught up with your report this weekend :)

Great update ladies! I just have to know...
IMG_9718_zps560003d1.jpg

Do blondes really have more fun? :rotfl2:

Fantastic costumes. I've been trying to talk DW into us dressing up at MNSSHP this October. Hmmm...I wonder who/what I should be?

Mary Ellen is going a great job of replying to her update so I'll wait on most till I get mine up (tomorrow maybe??)

Your costumes are too cute!! Do I lose my Disney card if I confess I had to resort to google to figure out who you were? So, so super cute!

Not at all, I have a story about how the idea came to be, kind of funny!

A very special and heartfelt thank you to Cynthia, Sheree, and Pat for sharing your pictures from the meet. I will treasure these pictures more than you could know. I didn't take any photos with Tracy this last trip because I was feeling bad about myself and thought no one would want to see my ugly mug in pictures. Talk about perspective. I would give ANYTHING today for more pictures with her from our last trip. THANK YOU. :flower3:

Oh Christine  your mug is anything but ugly, you are beautiful inside and out. You made her trip SO special and even if you don't have photos of all of it, you will always have those memories.

What cute costumes! Love 'em! The first thing I thought of when I saw Cynthia is she looks like Charlene Darling from the Andy Griffith Show. See:

charlene-darling2.png

:lmao:

that is hysterical!

Cute costumes for the party. :) We've only visited once during the fall/autumn season, and we didn't go to MNSSHP---I regret it because it looks like such a good one, especially the parade!

Keeping up!!!Sounds like you gals are having a blast !!! I think there may be a Tel or 2 after the Grannie Trip!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry I didn't get to all the replies tonight. I fell asleep after I ran- for like 2 hours. Omg! Anyway- have a new student tomorrow so may not get to DIS until tomorrow night!

What a beautiful DISmeet! Tracy looked so happy and serene! That pillow was just the right gift. She has definitely left a big hole in the boards. I'm happy you girls who were close to her got to see her one last time. :grouphug:

Love the costumes! What a great idea. So was the party open later after fireworks, or did you attend just for the parade and fireworks? I guess I'm getting ahead of you. :bitelip:

Y'all look so cute in the costumes!! :thumbsup2

I love that Halloween parade! I definitely I think it's the best one that Disney does.

Hey there

Love your costumes - cutest blonde duckies I've ever seen:rotfl:

:rotfl2: I'm not sure if we are the cutest, but we certainly ARE blond! :lmao:

I love that parade - we were lucky enough to go to the party back in 2010 and the parade was worth it alone, along with the fireworks. We ended up going on a 2nd night as there was so much to do. My wallpaper is the family pic with all the seven dwarves - total highlight.

The seven dwarves are so cool. I didn't see them on this trip, but I've seen them before. What a great shot that must be! So cool that you got to go twice in one trip. That's awesome! I guess when you travel all the way to Florida you need to make it a nice long vacation!

Also - I spy Big Al - I just love him. I have 2 cuddly Big Al's from previous trips. My pride and joy - my cuddly Sully comes a close second though. I think I have a thing for big hairy beasts :confused3 :rotfl2:

Big Al is pretty cool, but I think I like Sully just a little more. Maybe because he just looks so innocent.

No pictures of my friend as the haunted bride. When I asked her about it, she said that her trip was cut short and she had to miss the party. Major bummer!

Oh NO! That's terrible. I feel so bad for her. Hopefully they can go back next year. You can't let a costume like that go to waste!

What a fantastic job on those costumes!! Such a cute idea. :goodvibes

Cynthia did a great job, didn't see? I think it was the best possible costume we could have dressed up in.

And great pictures of the parade, MEK. It's getting me SO excited for our upcoming October trip. We are going to the party this year! My first MNSSHP, I can't wait! I'm excited to see the rest of your party pics...because I know you have a LOT more to share!!! :lmao:

You are going to LOVE the party. So much fun! I'm really not sure if we are going in October because I think the only possible night we could go would be Halloween and we'll have just gotten off the cruise in the morning. Plus its Dennys b-day, so he would probably go out to dinner versus a sold out party.

Yes - I DO have plenty more pictures! :rotfl2:

What cute costumes! Love 'em! The first thing I thought of when I saw Cynthia is she looks like Charlene Darling from the Andy Griffith Show. See:

charlene-darling2.png

That's awesome! :thumbsup2 I totally see the resemblance! And Cynthia was the mastermind behind the costumes so we all have her to thank!

Every time I read a trip report that includes one of the holiday parades and decorations, I am jealous. Yep, pure jealousy oozes from my pores. I want to go so badly!

You are going to have to figure out a way to get a Halloween or Christmas visit arranged one of these years. You would love it. It's so much fun and the weather is so much more awesome than June. But it's next to impossible when you have a teen in high school, so I feel your pain. The solution - girl's trip! :cool1:

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE your costumes...you all look great!

Aren't they cool? We have Cynthia to thank for that brain storm! It was a great costume and I had a lot of fun wearing it.

Wonderful shots of the parade and the Halloween decorations; I do love that time of the year.

It's such an awesome time to visit. Sometimes I can't decide which I like better - Christmas or Halloween. :confused3

Looks like you were all having a great time.

We really had a lot of fun! We had great party mojo with our timing on the parade and fireworks. :thumbsup2

I just want to know: did you start, like, chewing, like, lots of, like, gum and saying, like, OMG! :rotfl2:

Well, now that you mention it.......OMGawd......YES!

I loved your costumes! Kudos to Cynthia for the idea and putting them together. :thumbsup2

Serious Kudos! She actually gave us a choice - Lewey, Hewey, and Dewey (not sure if I spelled those all correctly) or April, May, and June. You can obviously see who won!

It looked like a lot of people went in-costume. Those people at the dock, dressed as ghosts, were awesome!

There were a lot of people there in costumes. It was pretty cool. And those people on the dock - talk about an amazing, creative idea! They win. Hands down!

I still have so much respect for you both to get up and exercise at Disney. :thumbsup2 You go girls!

I love to run at Disney, so it never seems that awful to me. Plus there is always a day during the trip when I get up and say "Nope. Can't do it". So I just listen to that.

PARTY!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

The party was so awesome, especially since we got great parade and fireworks viewing spots!

Omg I LOVE your costumes! So cute!
Some of those other party guests had great costumes too! I admit to not dressing up when I've gone, but I do love when others get right into it.
YAY for scoring a great parade spot!

I have always enjoyed seeing the costumes, so it was fun to actually wear one this year. Normally I just wear a silly halloween T-shirt. This was so much better!

Omg, me either!! :confused3
Love your parade pictures!

Thank you! And those cowboys? WTH????

Catching up during a rare moment at work with little that demands my immediate attention and almost choked. :lmao:
I need to invoke teh no drinking iced tea while reading rule. ::rotfl:

:lmao: I hate when that happens. So messy! :lmao:

The song is Ghost riders in the sky. But the chicken clucking and cowboys???? Country song maybe??? I have no idea and I am grasping at straws.

Yeah - its just pain weird. Maybe it made sense a few years ago, but now - nothing.

You KNOW the song they are dancing to? Wow! You really are a true Disney fan. Once I see them jumping around like that I lose all attention to the other less important details. :rotfl:

She did do a great job with the costumes and all the ordering and prep. Cynthia you are awesome!!! Thanks again.

She really did! Would have worn a costume if it wasn't for Cynthia???? Me either! :rotfl: I agree - awesome!

Awwww... You guys like awesome :thumbsup2 Such a cute idea...:goodvibes I knew you were April, May & June right away...::yes::

They are just underused though compared to Huey, Duey and Louey...(We have some of the Duck Tales on DVD...) I think if some Disney animator met you three... maybe you could change that... put your own personal spin on them... possibly inspire a new cartoon series based on your adventures... it boggles the mind doesn't it?... although...you might have to clean up some up your escapades as Disney is a G sometimes maybe PG rated family channel...:rotfl2:

Don't want to waste it, don't want to haul it around... :rotfl2:

Yeah - we really didn't want any leftovers. :rotfl2: I was already at 49lbs on my luggage. :faint:

Great costumes!!! :rotfl2::lmao:

We can all thank Cynthia for that brainstorm! I have to admit, dressing up was a lot of fun!

Yeah, those are some impressive looking ghosts!

Aren't those costumes amazing? They were soooooooo cool! Really creative!

Wow! And I thought it seemed like a unique idea!!! :rotfl:

Who knew there were going to be more triplets there than just us????? :confused3 :rotfl:

Ok... that is cool. I've got to get to a Halloween party sometime.

The Halloween party really IS so much fun! I definite recommend it. It's just so different in terms of the fireworks, parade, and decorations!

I loved all of the pictures of the parade and the park lit for the party. I really, really need to see that in person sometime.

I hope that you get a chance to plan a trip sometime in September or October. September is a great time to visit because of the low crowds and October is awesome not only because of the party but also because of F&W! ;)

Well, either way, he agreed to go along with the cruise, so he must have liked what you had to say! :thumbsup2

Yeah - I'm thinking Sheree didn't have to twist his hard too hard! :rotfl:

Been good, thanks!! Life has been crazy (for everyone, I know). I got all caught up with your report this weekend :)

Yeah!!!!!!!! :woohoo: For getting caught up and a double woo hop :woohoo::woohoo: for a trip in ONE WEEK! YOu must be beyond excited!!!!!! Have an awesome time and let me know if you do a TR! :thumbsup2

Great update ladies! I just have to know...

Do blondes really have more fun? :rotfl2:

That night we did! :rolleyes1 So - yes - blonds really DO have more fun!!!!!!

Fantastic costumes. I've been trying to talk DW into us dressing up at MNSSHP this October. Hmmm...I wonder who/what I should be?

Well, since I have no creativity whatsoever in the way of costume design, I have no clue. But if I am there when you are dressed up you better let me know so I can take pictures. We probably won't do a party next year just because of our dates. The only possibility would be if they actually have a party right after Halloween. That would be fun, but Halloween is Denny's actual b-day and I know he would rather go out to dinner.

Cute costumes for the party. :) We've only visited once during the fall/autumn season, and we didn't go to MNSSHP---I regret it because it looks like such a good one, especially the parade!

Thanks and if you ever visit during the fall again you should really consider the party. It's just a really fun experience because of the parade and the fireworks - and, of course, the costumes!

Keeping up!!!Sounds like you gals are having a blast !!! I think there may be a Tel or 2 after the Grannie Trip!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

A tale or two? How about a tale or twenty after that trip??? :lmao:

What a beautiful DISmeet! Tracy looked so happy and serene! That pillow was just the right gift. She has definitely left a big hole in the boards. I'm happy you girls who were close to her got to see her one last time. :grouphug:

Thanks!

And Tracy did look really wonderful that day and she seemed so energetic! It was really wonderful to see her and I'm so glad we had such a nice time together! I really do miss her on the boards. But I noticed she wasn't posting as much even before she got sick, so it wasn't like a dramatic departure. It was almost like she just eased into her absence.

Love the costumes! What a great idea. So was the party open later after fireworks, or did you attend just for the parade and fireworks? I guess I'm getting ahead of you. :bitelip:

We hit the parade on the way in and then the fireworks (pictures coming with the next update - I only took about 200!) and then enjoyed the party for the rest of the night!

Y'all look so cute in the costumes!! :thumbsup2

I love that Halloween parade! I definitely I think it's the best one that Disney does.

Thanks and I totally agree that it is the best parade EVER! I wish I could see it every year. Just imagine how cool it would be to participate in the parade as one of the cast? Too cool!

Awwww... You guys like awesome :thumbsup2 Such a cute idea...:goodvibes I knew you were April, May & June right away...::yes::

Well, you go girl! There were definitely people who knew who we were right away and that was TOO cool! I have to confess, I needed to google it. I guess I'm not up on all my Disney trivia!

So that's how you spell Huey, Duey, and Louey! :rotfl: I couldn't even get THAT right! :rotfl:

Better than a new cartoon series, about reality TV? Hey - there's an idea - a reality show based on guest's adventures in Disney world. Hey - I'd watch that! :thumbsup2
