Awww, adorable hugs with Terrance!! I’m so glad that last princess meet went so amazingly, looks like an amazing group of them to meet on the last night of the trip!!

Uggh my feelings, that’s a magical way to end a trip, this is why I always love ending the week in MK, there’s nothing better, I usually try to spend a few minutes just standing at the top of the train station to soak it all in before having to leave!

That sucks that you were feeling so bad, but at least it kinda waited until the end of the trip to come? Haha, I wasn’t feeling great in Nov when I went down and flying certainly was a PAIN that trip, UGH, flying sick is just not fun.

Hooooly you got a lot of characters in there!! I’m impressed, lines were not that nice during that week, I know that I definitely preferred the ride lines to the character lines that week!!

Aww!! Thanks for sharing your story with us!! I really do enjoy your TRs and reading all about your families adventures down in Disney and all over the place, I’m glad we got the chance to officially meet down there, even if it was by chance and a short meet, but hey, Tanessa and I will never forget that “we won’t all fit in the bath tub to swim!” ahahah, so adorable! Ohhhh the ear pain! My terrible cold that started at 'Ohana last year was compounded by incredible ear pain on our flight home a couple days later, and the cold also lasted a couple weeks into being back home. It was honestly just SO BAD. It HURT so much. I usually feel the slightest bit of pressure in my ears when I fly, but this was not pressure, it was intense pain. I'm sorry you had to experience it too!

I'm so glad that I found your first TR and have followed along with this one as well, I love reading about your vacations. And AWWW at poor Maddie crying at her last Wishes of the trip But what a nice moment you shared with her.

Also, WOW to your DxDP savings! That is so awesome. We saved over $300 last year for the 3 of us over the course of 8 nights on the regular DDP. It's my goal to someday vacation with the deluxe plan. I may slip into an everlasting food coma, but oh what a way to go!

Excellent final post. I understand Maddie's sadness. It is hard to leave the MK for the last time without having that "I don't wanna go" moment. I'm glad to see that you were finally able to do some rides before you left though.

Next time we’ll do our best to really meet some characters.

I like the summary of the week. I don't think I could eat enough TS meals in a trip to make the DxDP work, but I'm glad you guys were able to fully take advantage of it and get your money's worth out of it. I'm definitely going to have to make a point to try a few of the restaurants on your favorites lists... primarily that Tusker House breakfast...

I've got to say, that list of characters met is impressive. Even more impressive is the 8's and 9's next to some of the characters names. Even having read the TR, I didn't realize you met some of them that many times. I know I kind of pick on you for it, but as long as Maddie is happy, keep on meeting them. And I'm truly glad she enjoys it so much.

It's so exciting! I think I'm moving our December trip though. Reid told me today that he really wants to celebrate his 6th bday at Disney. Well, I know I can't save for a trip in March 2014 if we go Dec 2013. So, I'm thinking of moving our December trip to Mardi Gras 2014, which will be the 1st full week of March. And we can just celebrate his bday a couple of weeks early. And one of my best friends is going to be there with her family.

Thank you! That's one of her favorite dresses. I am so glad that I didn't get sick until the last day. What a bummer it would have been if I was sick the whole trip.

That last picture of you and Maddie watching the fireworks did me in....I had to get a kleenex! Just reading about the way you felt brings me right back to our "last days" ...I always get so angry with myself that I concentrate more on leaving than enjoying the moment. I can't help it tho it jsut makes me so sad!

The last day is always so hard. I can't help be sad the whole day, but like you I wish that I could concentrate on enjoying it rather than dreading it.

What a bitter-sweet ending, watching Wishes holding your daughter, both of you with tears in your eyes! I cried too watching Wishes on our last night, but for different a different reason (but that's a story for later).

I can't wait to hear that one!

It's awesome that Maddie can talk to the characters like that. I suspect that at school the teachers will simultaneously find her adorable, and want to pull their hair off trying to get her to stop chatting. I can imagine the conversation in the staff room : "That little Maddie in my class is so cute! Sometimes though I have to bite my lips not to laugh with the things she says. She's so funny, but the middle of math class is not the best time to say...".

She is a chatty one! I know that she must drive her teachers mad. I'm always telling her on the way to school and dance "put your listening ears on, and no talking!" Her dance teacher is super patient, and her teacher says she's a dream, so they must be saints.

No, usually free shipping is only for the us. Of course they would have the Mulan costume now! Isn't that always the case?

Maddie was so excited to meet a new fairy friend! She loved him! That Tink was pretty meh though. The princesses were amazing though, and more than made up for it.

Those lines were awful. I can't believe that we met so many characters, but the meals did help pad those numbers.

It is a lot of food, but for us it works. It allows us enough meals that Maddie feels like she's getting her character meals in, and Bryan and I feel like we're getting some nicer meals in. We loved it!

It's a great savings if you plan to have those meals! We loved DDP, but wanted to eat at a few signatures, so that's why we tried DxDP. We are so glad that we did!

Try Tusker House! It was so great! and that's one that we probably wouldn't have done if not for the DxDP. We found that at WDW we need to eat more often than we do in real life, and it's often a welcome break since we can't bring ourselves to actually leave the parks.

Hey Shan. Just a quick post to say I'm not ignoring you. I've been too busy to post much lately. Hopefully I'll get back here on the weekend.

After dinner we walked back to the Magic Kingdom with heavy hearts.

Ya hear that all the time don'tcha? "No Mommy! No! Don't make me go to Disneyworld! Not the Magic Kingdom! Anything but that!!!"

Well, Maddie and I had heavy hearts. Bryan is much more mature about such matters.

uh, huh. Stoic on the outside, but on the inside he was probably a bowl of jello.

Once we’d visited with them it was back to the front of the park to say goodbye to our princess friends. We were chosen to carry the red card, and this made Bryan feel as though he was carrying a backstage pass to a rock concert. We were getting a little silly.

Naw. He doesn't look silly at all.

Our first stop was at the Barnstormer. The wait time was posted at 20 minutes, but we noticed several young women lining up in what would become the FP line. At that time there was no FP set up for the Barnstormer so we were confused. As we got to the top of the ramp where the 2 lines join up, we asked a CM why the FP line was full of cheerleaders if it wasn’t operational. He told us that it was the line for guests with disabilities, but all of them seemed quite able bodied. It left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths.

Sad. A large group of disabled teenage cheerleaders. Wonderful though that even with their disabilities that they still get picked to be on the squads.

Maddie had a ton of fun playing with the honey wall.

Soon enough we were sailing through the Hundred Acre Wood. Believe it or not, it was Maddie’s first experience with the ride (too afraid of the ‘dark rides’ on her first trip), and she loved it.

Oh, I believe it. You wouldn't believe the amount of rides we skipped when we took the DDs when they were 4 & 8.

Or maybe you would.

After we rode we made the mistake of trying to head toward Liberty Square and of course were stopped at the parade route, so we watched the rest of it before splitting up.

Sorry to hear about you guys splitting up. Maybe a few more trips to Disney will help you get back together... Oh, no, wait. I forgot. Going to MK makes you heavy hearted.

Nevermind.

I have this visual now of you crowd surfing at MK.

We settled in on the sidewalk, and as M, M, & Y started I looked over to discover that Maddie was crying. I pulled her into my arms and asked what was wrong. “I just don’t want to leave Mommy”

And so on our last night I watched Wishes holding my little girl, tears falling from both of our eyes. It had been an amazing vacation.

Geez! What are you trying to do to me??? I'm at work on a break, but there are other people around. I don't need to be seen with tears running down my face ya know.

Warn a fella, would'ja?


Seriously, that's a really sweet moment there.

The next morning we woke up obscenely early to catch the Notsomagical Express. I felt even worse than I had the day before.

Which is exacerbated by a) getting up early... nothing worse when you're sick and b) leaving Disney.

As usual, we were at the airport much earlier than we needed to be so we stopped for doughnuts for breakfast before we went to our gate.

Doughnuts for breakfast? Don'tcha love vacations?

Sorry to hear that you had such a miserable time afterwards (sick, ears, etc.) but glad to hear you're feeling better now.
