We're doing another double dip to CC!! YIPPIE!!

Wait! Did you mean what is it as in I made a mistake or what is GTY booking?
If you meant what is GTY booking. Here it is.

Last-Minute Restricted Stateroom Discounts from DCL

DCL offers new way to save if you are flexible about your stateroom location and willing to book "last minute," meaning 21-75 days prior to departure.

When offered, new "Restricted" room categories be offered on select sailings at the discretion of Disney Cruise Line operations. If offered, here’s what you will see online:

Inside Stateroom with Restrictions (GTY IGT)
Oceanview Stateroom with Restrictions (GTY OGT)
Verandah Stateroom with Restrictions (GTY VGT)

These categories may provide a great rate if you are flexible with your stateroom location, but as the name suggests, they are heavily restricted, with a lot of rules.

Important details you need to know:

• You will not be able to select a stateroom number or make special requests as to stateroom location. The stateroom is assigned at the discretion of Disney Cruise Line within a week of cruise departure. The only guarantee will be Inside, Outside or Verandah (based on the bookable category code listed).
• Applies to new bookings only. Existing reservations cannot be modified to these new categories.
• Full payment is due at time of booking. Booking holds are not permitted.
• Reservation is non-refundable.
• Reservation and applied payment are non-transferable.
• Full legal names and birthdates for all stateroom occupants are required at time of booking.
• Name changes after the reservation number is confirmed will not be permitted.
• Sail date, stateroom category and cruise itinerary changes are not permitted once a reservation number is confirmed.
• Not combinable with any discount or promotional offers, with the exception of $25 onboard credit for bookings made online and Disney Visa benefits.
• The “Verandah Stateroom with Restrictions” category allows for a maximum of four stateroom occupants.
• Restrictions and booking rules are subject to change.
:goodvibes

That's what I was lookin for! Haha... I didn't know what that was! Now I get it! ;) Hmmm seems a little risky, don't it??

This cruise sounds awesome, but I worry about Hurricane's. Is this time of year prone to Hurricane's? :confused3

Hurricanes can happen any time and the equipment and planning is pretty sophisticated on the ships.

But a straightforward question deserves a straightforward answer, and that answer here is yes. Mid-September is the worst, with the peak around September 20 historically. It is a proportional curve roughly, with the two-month period August 20 to October 20 seeing the vast majority of severe weather days in the bahamas and caribbean. Trip insurance should be seriously considered.

Yes, especially during harricane season. :rolleyes2
but chances getting an upgrade. pixiedust:

I am *highly* considering changing our 7-night Fantasy Western Oct 12th 2013 to this cruise and back-to-backing it with the 2-night cruise to no where immediately following......

Pros:
-Back on the Magic!!!!! ;)
-a double dip (we've been on 2 already)
-we would be Platinum after completing both cruises
-first cruise after dry dock (cool!)

Cons:
-Over double the drive (Port Canaveral is 2 hrs; Miami ~4 hrs)
-Unfamiliar with Port of Miami
-DD would miss 5 days of school instead if 4 (she has Oct 18th off during the Fantasy cruise currently scheduled) & it's possible an event-heavy week at school
-B2B process could potentially be a pain in the rear....
-it will be a few hundred more dollars than the cruise we are currently booked on.

Hmmmm.....shall ponder......

ALRIGHT!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I sent an email to my TA to move our dummy date & will put in a quote request for the 2-night. This way, I can have it scheduled & decide later about which to take, whether it be the Oct 12 Fantasy or the B2B on the Magic Oct 20 & 25.

We may just join you yet :)

If it wasn't for the DD I'd go on the Oct 12th cruise... just because that's my birthday and I've never celebrated my birthday on a cruise!!! :beach:

WE'RE GONNA HAVE A BLAST on the DD though!!! :cool1:

I'll be celebrating mine on March 11th on the Fantasy ;) Woo hoo!! I'm going to Remy brunch on my b-day. I'm itching to get back on a classic ship (actually, all of us are), tho. Love CC and am excited to add on the B2B cruise to nowhere too!! We are going to have fun! I read thru the whole meet thread - you guys are a fun group!!

YOU BET WE ARE!! And It'll be even more fun now that YOUR gang is joining us!!

When is the cruise to nowhere?? :confused3 We've always done a 7 night cruise, and the ONLY reason we're doing this 5 night cruise is because of the DD to CC!! :woohoo:

I just found this thread. My family is also booked on the Oct 20 double dip. This is my f
Family's first cruise. I have cruised before (not Disney) and it isn't my cup of tea. I gave in and said okay I will cruise and the double dip was a bonus to me.

Looking forward to hearing how everyone is planning. If now I can just get the cabanas I want, things will be good.
