What the cast member told me was they installed the lights but not the correct amount of them so they had to redo it maybe it was a permit approval thing I'm not sure !!!!

hi i am thinking staying gf cl sugarloaf. I see the two view options are marina or courtyard pool. How bad is the construction of the courtyard pool? I know i can request a view of the marina instead, but of course they cannot guarantee. Just want to be prepared and not disappointed. My husband is a huge YC CL fan so having him switch and then not being happy I will never hear the end of it

We have stayed at sugar loaf and main building since the court yard pool construction has began. It's really not that big of a deal. I actually thought it was cool, because I got to spy into the process.

The marina view is nice though, allows us to watch our kids walk back and forth to Gasps.

Staying SL and was initially worried about the pool construction view but for all the time we will be in the room (like just to sleep) who cares? It's the GF! Has anyone upgrade on site from a standard garden view room to outer building club level? What was the cost difference?

I booked with the 35% discount in November for March 1st-7th. Right now when I ask to be upgraded it costs north of 2000. I find that a bit steep and I'm hoping that when we arrive I will have a chance to upgrade at a lower cost. Thoughts?

We're headed down in three weeks for our first stay at the GF and DS asked me this question......

Do they have the "housemade" potato chips (like the ones they have at the YC and BC CL lounges) in the Sugar Loaf CL Lounge? We love those and they can be addictive!

They have home made chips at Gaspirillas. Club level has regular chips and tortillas chips at different times.

Thanks. We were hoping the GF would have them too. The last time we stayed at the YC, they were serving them with sandwiches at the BC Marketplace, as well as in the CL lounge. Guess we'll either have to go to Gaspirillas or take a trip to the BC if we want any.

Has anyone come across new photos of the DVC or pool construction. Any word on whether the salon has reopened?

Aw, Thanks! We arrive on the 30th.
We aren't staying RPC-- we'll be in SL-- but my DH keeps pressuring me to switch. I'm terrified once I cave, it will be all over.


I saw new-ish pictures on EasyWDW the other day. Josh had done a tour of GIG and had some pics of the DVC area.

LOL about being terrified to cave. We've stayed in RPC twice but have never booked it. Frankly, I doubt we ever will. It is simply lovely but for us too expensive to justify. I love Sugar Loaf. Can you fit me in your suitcase?

Thanks to my sister's recent bounceback offer, we will be celebrating making my last mortgage payment in October in the main building club level theme park view. Woohoo!! It will be a dream come dream!
